The New Doll
A year later, a new traveler wanders into Oakhaven. The village is lush, green, and the harvest is the best in decades. The traveler looks at the great oak tree and sees a new straw doll hanging from the highest branch. It holds a tiny, perfect replica of a camera. The traveler smiles, unaware that the eyes of the doll are actually human, trapped forever in a wooden prison.
