Episode 4:
Escape from the Shadow Forest
The palace was still shaking from the Dark Prince's sudden appearance.
No one spoke.
The royal guards tightened their grip on their weapons.
The old wizard broke the silence.
"The Dark Prince now knows where the Moon Heart is."
"He won't wait long before attacking."
King Aldren rose from his throne.
"Then we must move the Moon Heart Bearer to a safe place."
Luna stepped forward.
"I'll protect him."
The king nodded.
"There is an ancient sanctuary hidden inside the Shadow Forest. Take Arian there before sunrise."
Arian looked confused.
"So... we're running?"
The old wizard shook his head.
"No."
"We're buying time."
"The Moon Heart has not fully awakened yet."
Before dawn, Luna and Arian quietly left the Moon Palace.
Only a few trusted royal guards escorted them.
The silver forest was peaceful.
Moonlight reflected on the leaves like tiny stars.
For the first time since arriving in this strange world, Arian finally relaxed.
He looked at Luna.
"Can I ask you something?"
She smiled softly.
"What is it?"
"Why did you trust me?"
Luna was silent for a moment.
"When I saw the Moon Heart..."
"I remembered my mother's last words."
'When the Moon Heart chooses its Guardian, trust your heart before your eyes.'
Arian smiled.
"So... your heart trusted me?"
Luna looked away, slightly embarrassed.
"...Maybe."
Arian laughed.
It was the first time either of them had smiled since meeting.
Suddenly—
The forest became unnaturally quiet.
The birds stopped singing.
The wind disappeared.
Luna's expression changed instantly.
"Stay behind me."
Black mist spread between the trees.
Red eyes slowly opened in the darkness.
One...
Ten...
Hundreds.
Shadow Wolves.
"They found us," Luna whispered.
A terrifying howl echoed through the forest.
The Shadow Wolves charged.
"Run!" Luna shouted.
Arian and Luna sprinted through the forest as the creatures chased them from every direction.
Arian looked back.
"There are too many!"
One wolf leaped toward Luna.
Before it could reach her—
Arian pushed her aside.
The beast slashed his shoulder.
"Arian!"
His blood fell onto the glowing Moon Heart.
Suddenly—
A blinding blue explosion erupted.
Boom!
The wolves were thrown back.
A glowing sword slowly appeared in Arian's hand.
Its blade shimmered with moonlight.
He stared at it in disbelief.
"What... is this?"
The old wizard's voice echoed through the magical communication crystal Luna carried.
"The Moon Heart has recognized its Guardian."
"The first Moonblade has awakened!"
Far away, inside the Realm of Darkness...
The Dark Prince smiled.
"So..."
"The human has finally awakened his power."
He turned toward the endless Shadow Army.
"Prepare for war."
"This time..."
"We will take the Moon Kingdom."
