Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Born In The Storm

It was late at night. Dark clouds covered the sky as heavy rain poured over the city. Lightning occasionally flashed, tearing through the darkness.

Suddenly, an ambulance rushed into the hospital's emergency lane and stopped with a sharp screech.

"Emergency case!"

Paramedics quickly pulled out a stretcher.

On it lay a woman… her face pale with pain, her breathing weak and uneven.

"The patient is critical!" one of the paramedics told the doctors.

Without wasting a moment, the doctors rushed her toward the operation theatre. The sound of the stretcher's wheels echoed through the silent corridor, mixed with the distant rumble of thunder outside.

Inside the operating room, the doctors immediately began preparing.

One of them spoke in a serious tone.

"This case is extremely complicated… It may be impossible to save both the mother and the child."

For a brief moment, silence filled the room.

"We'll do everything we can."

The operation began.

Outside, the rain grew even heavier… as if the sky itself was witnessing this moment.

After some time…

A faint cry echoed in the room for just a second before everything fell silent again.

The doctor checked the monitor and quietly spoke.

"…The mother is stable."

The nurse hesitated before asking, "And the baby?"

The doctor remained silent for a moment… then slowly shook his head.

"The baby… didn't make it."

The nurse gently wrapped the small newborn in a white cloth and placed the tiny body on a nearby table before turning back to assist the doctors.

Soon, the room fell silent again.

Only the faint beep… beep… of the machines filled the air.

Minutes passed.

No one looked toward the small body resting on the table.

Outside, thunder roared across the sky.

Then…

beneath the white cloth…

a tiny finger moved.

Slowly…

very slowly…

the newborn's chest rose with a faint breath.

And in the darkness of that quiet room…

two small eyes opened.

They were calm.

Far too calm for a newborn.

As lightning flashed outside the window—

those eyes reflected the light for a brief moment.

As if…

something ancient had just awakened.
