The First Encounter and the Mystery
Out of courtesy, Arko offered her a cup of hot coffee. Meera accepted with a faint, fragile smile, but her gaze kept darting toward the dark glass panes of the window.
"Is someone following you?" Arko's direct question startled her.
Meera whispered, "In this city, Arko-babu, no one truly knows anyone. But sometimes, it's the strangers who become our greatest threats."
With those cryptic words, she hurried out, leaving behind a blue envelope. Arko opened it to find no letter, only an old photograph—two hands resting on a table in this very cafe, wearing identical rings. One was clearly Meera's. But whose was the other?
