Short version:This story does not follow the game's main storyline and focuses more on crazy ideas and fun chaos.
Early chapters: a bit slow.
Mid-story: the fun really begins.
Later chapters: readers start calling it a good book (sometimes literally, since reader comments and even reader-submitted extras appear).
The highlights are all kinds of absurd large-scale projects, such as:
Creating a "Chibaku Tensei" by trapping Abundance monsters inside miniature pocket realms and launching them at near-light speed.
Raiding the Garden of Recollection.
Occasionally blowing up the Antimatter Legion just to see who's actually more destructive.
As of Chapter 300, one of the biggest achievements is:
Making Preservation devour Propagation so that the "Celestial Wisdom Wall" grows on its own.
About the Protagonist
Many readers complained that the protagonist's name isn't great. Unfortunately, that's just how it is.
He enjoys messing around, has a slight trickster personality, and honestly…if someone can hang out with Aha, do you really think they'd be normal?
Like many geniuses, he has some personality flaws—a bit self-centered and occasionally willful.
But overall, he's still a good person.
He's technically trying to find a way back home…(though he probably won't actually return).
That goal serves as the story's loose main thread, while the protagonist mostly acts as a cosmic drifter, wandering around the universe with a relaxed personality.
Sometimes I even wonder if I should bring the entire Earth into the Star Rail universe and let humanity achieve the dream of a real seven-day weekend under the protection of the Genius Society.
About the Story
The game's main storyline will appear very little.
You can think of it like this:
The Astral Express crew does their thing, while the protagonist does his own.
They don't interfere much.
The story simply borrows the worldbuilding of Honkai: Star Rail while telling its own story.
There will also be many original characters and side stories(for example, characters similar to Asta's role as a rich benefactor).
However, the story will not intentionally contradict official lore.If something accidentally clashes with canon… well, that can't be helped.
Timeline
This story takes place many years before the game's main plot.
By the time the official storyline begins, the universe will likely have already changed a lot.
After all, if nothing changed, that would be strange.
The story will also explore the dangerous side of the Star Rail universe.
Because honestly, that universe isn't a nice place.Ordinary people might die at any moment just from being caught in the chaos of some lunatic.
About the Genius Society
Later in the story, the Genius Society's "team-building activities" will become one of the biggest highlights.
Yes…geniuses messing around together is exactly as dangerous as it sounds.
About the IPC (Interastral Peace Corporation)
The IPC is a complex organization.
It's difficult to classify them as simply good or bad.
The protagonist will sometimes cooperate with them.
Since they're essentially the ultimate form of capitalism, it's only natural that they possess some questionable technologies for extracting value.
And with an organization that massive, it's perfectly reasonable that they would hide certain secrets.
For the sake of the story, I'll add some new lore and settings not shown in the game—but they won't contradict the company's overall image.
About the Xianzhou
The Xianzhou Alliance is inspired by ancient Chinese dynasties.
Naturally, I have a certain bias toward them.
Their tendency to hide their strength and prepare extra firepower just in case feels very realistic to me—so I'll base some of their behavior on real historical templates.
About the Path of Abundance
Important distinction:
Aeons ≠ Emanators ≠ Pathstriders ≠ Blessed individuals
Emanators and Abundance followers are blessed, but not necessarily good.
However, Pathstriders who actively walk the Path of Abundance must embody its ideals of selflessness, healing, and altruism.
About Emanators
Emanators are chosen directly by Aeons.
But that doesn't mean they necessarily follow the Path's philosophy.
For example:
The insect that Aha empowered with the full energy of a Path.
Phantylia, who fears destruction yet still became an Emanator.
Even within the IPC, there are Emanators of Preservation who don't believe in Preservation.
Then there's Shuhu, who interprets Abundance in a completely twisted way—believing that devouring other life and merging with them into eternal existence counts as Abundance.
About Pathstriders
Pathstriders are not necessarily weaker than Emanators.
Think of it like this:
Aeons are the ocean.
Emanators are waves.
Pathstriders are drops of water.
But a drop joining another drop is still a drop.
One gains power through personal pursuit, while the other gains it directly from the Aeon.
Imagine a race track:
The finish line is the Aeon.
Pathstriders run the entire race themselves.
Emanators are placed halfway down the track by the Aeon.
Their starting point may be unreachable for most Pathstriders—but Pathstriders still have the possibility of surpassing them.
Take Acheron as an example.
I don't believe the Aeon of Nihility would willingly grant power.
Someone who believes nothing has meaning would never bother doing that—because granting power itself would imply meaning.
So the only explanation is that Acheron walked far enough along the Path of Nihility on her own, absorbing enough Path energy until she became something equivalent to an Emanator.
An Emanator who was never officially appointed.
Emanators are not a power level. They are simply a result of an Aeon's action.
About Destruction
Due to certain past events (content partially removed), the protagonist has a grudge against the Destruction faction.
So whenever someone is fighting them…
He'll usually show up to help.
