Lyra stood frozen, processing Kaelin's lips on hers, then the horn blast and chaos erupted.
Before she could move, Kaelin grabbed her hand.
"Nyx will protect you, Lyra, I need to help Hades." He said before vanishing into darkness.
Nyx appeared instantly, her eyes gleaming with urgency.
"Come, Lyra, Hades have a safe house prepared for moments like this." Nyx said.
Lyra followed Nyx through secret passages, emerging near a secluded villa on the river Styx.
As they entered, Lyra's mind reeled – Kaelin's kiss, the battle cry, her heart's turmoil, the vision and Hades.
Meanwhile, back at the palace.
Hades stood beside Kaelin, summoning damned souls and demon warriors.
"For Olympus and our realm." he yelled, charging into battle.
Kaelin unleashed his own power – dark energy blasts annihilating Zeus' minions.
Though outnumbered, they fought valiantly.
Lyra, watching the battle from the safe house windows, saw Zeus himself appear, his lightning bolts striking Hades' forces mercilessly.
Lyra knew within her that they would lose this battle without Loki's help.
She grabbed Nyx's arm.
" I need to leave, I need to save them, I must make a deal with Loki." Lyra said.
Nyx looked shocked but couldn't question her decision.
Nyx nodded in agreement.
" I will escort you to him, Lyra, if it is what you want but beware, Loki's bargains come with steep prices."
Lyra steeled herself.
" I will pay it, let's go, we don't have much time."
Nyx led Lyra through winding Underworld paths, avoiding Zeus' minions and Hades' battling forces.
They emerged near the Asgard portal – a shimmering gateway to Loki's realm.
Loki awaited them, smiling slyly as Lyra approached him.
" So, mortal, have you reconsidered my offer." Loki asked.
Lyra nodded firmly.
" Yes, I will bring you the book you desire from Hades' library in exchange for your helping them defeat Zeus."
Loki chuckled.
" Not just any book, Lyra, the magic of the Nine Worlds, Hades' most powerful spellbook, hidden in a section of Hades library, no one can get too, that is the book I want."
Lyra swallowed hard .
" That was the same book Hades and Kaelin vowed never to use in their war, the dark energy of that book was off great power and in the wrong hand, it could do a mass damage, it was the same book I was about to hand over to Loki." She whispered to herself.
"I will get you the book but how am I going to sneak pass the battle ground without getting notice." She asked.
Loki smiled mischievously.
" Leave that to me, my magic will disguise you and you will be able to sneak past them undetected."
Lyra hesitated briefly but Zeus' attacks on Hades' and Kaelin's life forced her decision.
" Deal." She said,
She extended her hand, sealing the bargain.
Loki grasped it firmly, pulling her close.
" Excellent choice, Lyra, now, let us begin. "
He snapped his fingers and a dark aura surrounded Lyra, making her invisible to their eyes.
Nyx called out to her saying. " My lady, where are you?"
Lyra smiled grimly.
" nyx, I am beside you, Loki's magic worked perfectly, Hades and kealin can't see me, I will take my leave now." She said,
Lyra hastened towards Hades' library, avoiding battling gods and minions along the way.
She slipped inside the library unnoticed, the dark aura concealing her presence perfectly.
Rows of ancient bookshelves towered above her and a faint glow drew her attention – The Magic of the Nine Worlds lay open on a reading table, as if Hades had recently studied it.
Lyra grabbed the book, feeling its dark energy coursing through her veins.
Suddenly, she heard footsteps – Hades and Kaelin entered the library, exhausted from battle.
Lyra froze, holding her breath as Hades and Kaelin entered the library but walked past her, oblivious to her presence.
Hades collapsed into a chair, exhausted.
" Zeus' power grows." Hades said. " We barely defeated Zeus' minions, we were outnumbered and out-powered, I don't think we can win."
" Why don't we use the book, I know you say, it is too dangerous but we need it." Kealim suggested.
Hades scoffed." That book could destroy all of Olympus instead of saving it. I won't allow it. I went through the book but the dark magic there was too much, I had to stop." He said.
Lyra's heart raced, could this be what Loki wants to use the book and do or there was another answer to that question.
" should I reveal myself now or escape with the book.: she thought.
Suddenly, Kaelin's eyes narrowed, as if sensing something or someone.
" Can you feel that?" Kealin asked Hades.
Lyra made a run for it escaping with the book.
She made her way to the portal where Loki and Nyx was waiting, handing the book over to Loki and demanding answers.
" What do you want to use the book for?" She asked.
Loki smirked mischievously.
" It is none of your business, mortal, it was nice working with you." He said while handing Lyra a vial filled with glowing liquid.
" Drink this." He said. " Zeus will fall, and the rest will reveal itself."
Lyra drank the potion, feeling nothing at first, only a slight sweetness on her lips.
Loki disappeared into thin air, leaving Nyx and Lyra standing at the portal entrance.
They both returned back to the safe house, exhausted.
" Do you think Loki lied to me, what was the portion for, did he betray me?" She asked Nyx.
" I don't know those answers my lady, all I can say is we have to wait." Nyx replied her.
Hours passed and night fell.
Lyra half asleep, jumped up in fear, screaming in agony.
" What's wrong?" Nyx asked, waking up from her sleep due to lyra screams.
Nyx moves closer to lyra trying to comfort her.
" What did you see?" Nyx asked.
Lyra shaking and shivering.
" They are all dead." She said, "I saw death, Hades was screaming in torment, kealin was in agony, then I saw a revelation."
" What revelation." She asked curiously.
" For us to defeat Zeus, my heart must burn with dark magic, a prophecy binds the Pandora box and it says, a mortal girl with a reincarnated soul can only break the Pandora box if her heart is darkened in her next life."
" Lyra, are you sure this prophecy is about you, because you have not been reborn, no mortal can." Nyx said.
" that is were you are wrong nyx, I have, this is my second life and in my first life, I was In love with kealin, that is why I am drawn to him, I saw myself as Elyse when I kissed him and you are the only one that know, Hades is not aware of this." She told Nyx .
Nyx opened her mouth in shock.
" Do you want to inform Kaelin that you are elyse from his first life or do you want to tell Hades how to defeat Zeus." she asked.
" None, I can't tell them anything until I am sure, I am telling you nyx because I trust you , promise me you won't tell a soul."
" I promise." Nys said. " My loyalty is to you alone."
Just as Lyra finished, doors burst open.
Hades and Kaelin rushed in with concern etched on their faces.
" Lyra, what's wrong?" Hades asked, feeling concerned." We heard your scream."
Kaelin added. " Nyx, what happened here."
Nyx remained silent, glancing at Lyra, honoring her promise.
Lyra stood frozen,caught between truth and secrecy, everyone looked at each other , tension and suspicion palpable.
Lyra broke the silence.
" I had a nightmare." Lyra said.
" Just a nightmare." Hades asked.
Kaelin stepped closer. " Lyra, what is going on, you are trembling." He said.
Lyra glanced at Nyx briefly before meeting Kaelin's gaze.
Hades' expression shifted when he saw how Kaelin was close to lyra and the way he talked to her.
Lyra took a deep breath.
" We need to attack Zeus, he feels we are too weak and we need to show him we are not, the longer those gods stay trapped the weaker they get and Hades I know you think you are not strong enough to defeat Zeus but I believe in you." lyra said, smiling at him.
Hades felt a warmth, he had never felt before.
Kaelin grasped Lyra's hands.
" We will face this together and we will succeed." He said.
Hades walked toward me and pulled me up , dragging me outside from the safe house.
He looked at him and I could feel the fury burning in his eyes.
" lyra" He said. " Do you really believe I can do it?"
Her hand touched his face gently, Hades holding her waist and pulled her closer.
" I trust you, Hades." Lyra said.
I needed to give him false hope, even though I knew it was wrong but that was the only way I could get close enough to Zeus to defeat him. I hate what I was doing to him but I couldn't stop now." She thought to herself.
