Chapter 17 - 17

017 Shuchiin Academy Needs to be Corrected

Hearing this, Asuna Yuuki secretly grumbled to herself, thinking that no matter what, for a student to talk to their homeroom teacher like this, their attitude was a bit too arrogant, wasn't it?

Miwa Ashikaga, however, did not get angry; instead, she nodded.

"Yes, I don't want to waste time either, so let's make a long story short."

Next, Miwa Ashikaga's words directly made Asuna Yuuki, who was standing by, a little confused.

"Your performance today was very good, completely in line with... no, it even exceeded my expectations."

Noticing Asuna Yuuki's puzzled look, Asagiri didn't play the riddle game and directly explained.

"The matter is actually very simple. This Ashikaga-sensei reached an agreement with me some time ago, wanting me to enroll in Private Shuchiin Academy, and in exchange, she would provide me with privileges within her power, such as skipping classes, taking leave, and exemption from all tuition fees."

"Huh? Why..."

Hearing Asagiri's explanation, Asuna Yuuki was even more confused. Logically, given the status of Private Shuchiin Academy, why would they offer such terms to a student? It was almost as if they were begging the other party to study at Shuchiin Academy.

"Since Utsunomiya trusts you, I'll be straightforward."

Miwa Ashikaga raised her hand and pushed up her Glasses frame, her tone flat.

"I am very dissatisfied with the current Shuchiin Academy."

"This place used to be known as the cradle of future talents in Sakura Province, a well-deserved number one high school. Students who graduated from here would become leaders in various fields such as politics, business, and the military in the future."

Speaking of this, Miwa Ashikaga suddenly changed the subject, and unconcealed disgust appeared in her eyes.

"But now, look at what this so-called cradle of talents has become?"

"A group of spoiled young ladies and young masters who have never experienced real setbacks, yet harbor a foolish arrogance of being superior to others. Their own abilities are only at that level, like naive and innocent giant babies, protected by the greenhouse that is Shuchiin Academy. There are even so-called pure-school factions that ostracize and even target students who transfer into Shuchiin Academy midway. It's truly sickening."

"The future of Sakura Province is to be handed over to these people? I absolutely will not accept such a thing."

The next second, Miwa Ashikaga suddenly sighed.

"However, when I proposed in the board meeting that the current Shuchiin Academy needed to change, I was rejected by most people. The strongest opposition came from the current chairman, Kouguang Shinomiya. He said that these students of Shuchiin Academy, including Shuchiin Academy itself, are superior beings and there is no need to worry unnecessarily. He even said that my idea was just a woman's opinion and had no value for discussion or deliberation."

Asuna Yuuki frowned slightly: "That's too much... what 'woman's opinion,' to openly say such a word in a board meeting... that Chairman..."

"That's the kind of person he is."

Miwa Ashikaga waved her hand, then turned her gaze to Asagiri, who was sitting on the sofa.

"But just when I didn't know what to do, I learned about the existence of Asagiri Utsunomiya. If he enters Shuchiin Academy as a new student, perhaps he can change the atmosphere within the current Shuchiin Academy."

"Ah? Why is that?"

Asuna Yuuki didn't understand Miwa Ashikaga's words. After all, the other party certainly didn't know Asagiri's "Player" identity. So, in this Ashikaga-sensei's eyes, Asagiri Utsunomiya, who was just a new student coming to Shuchiin Academy, might be able to change this rotten atmosphere that had formed over the years? This was a bit too unrealistic, wasn't it?

"It seems you don't understand him very well."

Seeing Asuna Yuuki's puzzled expression, Miwa Ashikaga said in a flat tone.

"Allow me to introduce. This Utsunomiya is the top scorer in this year's Sakura Province joint examination, and also the top scorer in the Private Shuchiin Academy entrance exam. In his second and third years of junior high, he won the national junior high school tennis singles championship twice, the national junior high school badminton singles championship, and the national junior high school basketball championship."

Asagiri, who had been silent until now, immediately retorted when he heard this.

"Huh? Is that all? What about my most important, most glorious achievement?"

"Oh, there's one more."

Miwa Ashikaga added with a slight hint of helplessness.

"In the third year of junior high, five delinquents from outside the school blocked him on his way home and tried to extort money from him. Then he, by himself, beat all five of those delinquent students into the hospital, while he only suffered minor scratches. Although I don't quite understand why he calls this the most important, most glorious achievement."

Speaking of this, Miwa Ashikaga paused slightly, then looked at Asuna Yuuki and said lightly.

"So, you should understand now. For a student like Utsunomiya, who is excellent in both academics and sports to this level, and who also transferred in midway, even if he does nothing, his mere existence is a sting to those pure-school students who think highly of themselves and don't know the immensity of heaven and earth."

"Alright, that's enough of the long speech."

Asagiri looked around the office, then smiled at Miwa Ashikaga.

"Asuna Yuuki and I have something we need to discuss privately, so, Ashikaga-sensei, how about you go out for a while and have lunch?"

"You're taking over the owner's nest."

Miwa Ashikaga first said this, then took out a key from her pocket, placed it gently on the desk, and got up to walk out of the office.

"This is the spare key to my office, you can take it. Remember to lock the door when you leave."

After Miwa Ashikaga left the office, Asagiri finally looked at Asuna Yuuki and said.

"So now, it's time to talk about serious matters. You've already seen the messages in the APP, haven't you?"

Asuna Yuuki nodded: "Yes, I've seen them."

Asagiri then asked: "Then let me ask first, do you live alone?"

"At the moment, yes."

"That makes things convenient."

Asuna Yuuki didn't think that Asagiri's mention of "convenient" had any strange meaning. She knew that he meant that if she lived alone, there would be a private place where they could enter the dungeon.

"Let me first tell you my thoughts."

Asuna Yuuki pursed her lips, sat up straight, placed both hands on her thighs, and looked directly at Asagiri as she spoke.

"I think that next, we should seize the time and actively sign up to participate in the dungeon."
