Synopsis
Jace Calix wakes up alone in a bunker, a leftover from a war that ended long ago. Cryo-stasis kept him alive, but the world he knew is gone. The systems hum quietly. Empty corridors reach out in every direction. Outside the hatch, the land feels unfamiliar. A hundred years have gone by. The cities are gone. The old ways have disappeared. Where machines once ruled, wild magic now flows, and the quiet he once knew is now filled with hidden life. He was never meant to be a hero. He was supposed to be forgotten. But this world does not need heroes. It needs someone reckless enough to step into its chaos and try to change it.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

[Recording Start]

Okay, let's get this out of the way. If you're watching this—future me, bored archivist, or whatever cosmic creep is snooping—just know I'm not doing this for therapy. It's just... there's no one else to talk to down here. So, hi. I'm Jace. Official bastard, and today's special guest on "Why Is Society So Fucking Stupid?"

You ever notice how the Citadel acts like it's got life all figured out? Magic, rules, power, hierarchy—it's all written in stone, and if you're not on page one, tough shit. They say you need an Aether core to matter. Well, I'm living proof you can be a walking, talking blank spot and still keep breathing. (Take that, science.)

Everyone worships power out there. Fireballs, lightning storms, floating castles—great. But no one talks about the real magic: surviving when you're supposed to be nothing, laughing when the universe calls you a mistake. I'm the bastard at the bottom, the fool nobody bets on. Guess what? That makes me dangerous. No one expects the punchline to be the key to the whole joke.

They all say the fool changes nothing. The bastard dies first. But maybe, just maybe, the joke's on them. Maybe the fool's the only one who sees how dumb the game really is—and finally calls bullshit.

So, future me, if you're out there—remember this: don't play their game. Flip the table. Make your own rules. And if you get magic, make sure it blows up in the right faces.
