First novel/fanfic ever! Unless school essays count then I've got at least a couple of no effort ones! Don't expect a tight regime I'm not a very busy but a very lazy person maybe expect 1 chapter a week!
The following conversation is done more so telepathically with speech marks indicating what is said 'aloud' as the MC has no control over what comes out as they are ALL HIS COHERENT thoughts (does that make sense, probably not…).
"Eh?" - MC (indicated by normal text)
"Yo!" - not the MC (indicated by the italic)
"Dark. Black. Nothingness."
"Dude?"
"Hmmmmm…"
"Hellloooooooo???"
"No, I can think of a better word for this… state that I am in."
"Is this this working?"
"Uhhh… maybe something like asleep? I mean, I can't hear, feel or see anything. So unless I'm dead I can't imagine anything else."
"Can you stop your monologuing and turn around please?"
"Maybe I am just stupid. Yeah I wouldn't be surprised."
"YEAH! YOU ARE INCREDIBLY STUPID SO STOP IGNORING MEEE!!!"
"Wait a minute… why can I hear an ethereal disembodied voice?"
"Cause I'm behind you numb nuts."
"Ahh, I see. Lemme turn around then. How do I do that? I have no body."
*Slow turning noises*
"Take your time man."
"Aha! I'm a genius - WHAT THE HELL?! WHY IS THERE A PNG OF A FLOATING SHARK???"
"Calm down dude, it is your fault I'm like this anyways. I always appear as what ever you thought of last. Before you die at least. Oh yeah, you're dead by the way so you were kinda close to guessing it earlier."
"I'm… dead? How? I don't remember dying…"
"Cause you died so fast you didn't even notice. Honestly, this generation, so addicted to your screen."
"How on earth did I die instantly. I was standing in the street playing untitled shark game 4. Wasn't even in the road! And I know to look both ways so how the heck did I die?"
"Oh you wanna see?"
"HELL YEAH!"
"Lemme pull it up."
"Is this… why is it like a YouTube video? DID YOU UPLOAD MY DEMISE?!? ALSO WHY IS IT ONLY 3 SECONDS LONG?! I CAN'T EVEN SEE ANYTHING BECAUSE IT'S TOO DARK?!"
"Chill man. It's only like that so you can easily navigate it. It is unlisted anyways. Also the video is only short because of how quick your death was. Just play it."
"Sure, I guess. Whatever I'm putting it in 0.5x speed."
The video plays showing a man with a posture so bad Facebook moms sit around campfires talking about it standing still looking straight at his phone by the side of a road. 2 seconds in a truck comes speeding out of nowhere instantly hitting his head killing him right there and then.
"WHAT THE FUCK?! THIS LOOKS LIKE AN ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT?!"
"Nah man don't worry. It was purely for the love of the game, while intentional even if it was a family of five they would've been toast. Kaboom, you know the drill."
"And that's supposed to make me feel better? Kinda working though… wow something's wrong with me."
"Indeed, anyways let's move on. WELCOME MY COMPANION, TO THE DOMAIN OF YOURS TRULY!!!"

"Yeah that's neat I guess… I wasn't particularly into the show but I did see a cool edit a couple times. Only reason I watched it was because I saw a clip of the main character going…"
*cough cough*
"… 'OMG I JUST TALKED TO A GIRL' or something like that. He was gonna trip I think. Can't really remember it's not that important anyways.."
"I'm questioning how much free time you had…"
"Moving on! Second question: what time period will I be placed in?"
"Same age or year born in as the main cast. You're not a special fanfic protagonist. If anything I'm just being lazy."
