In truth, for someone like Night Empress to appear in this world was something Dan had expected. When he communicated with the Golden Emperor of Humanity and the King in Yellow through the Sage Frog's prophecy, he gained a great deal of information about future characters and events, and this information became a map that helped him draw a large part of his plans.
Especially since most of these events would happen because of him, or as side effects of his grand plan. Even in that vision, there were interventions and complementary plans created by Sira and Thorn, despite the fact that he had tried to change that to avoid involving them because he wanted to protect them from the burdens and keep them away from the complications of the plan.
But it seemed that his two children insisted on doing this themselves, and their strong desire to help and ease the burden on the favorite child of the Walt family, the little golden child as they called him, eventually made him agree. He realized that their will was stronger than his attempts to keep them away, and that their role in the plan was a fate that could not be avoided.
Another one of these events was the intervention of Night Empress Helena. He had also expected her to ask to intervene, especially because of her unique nature. He understood that she would not remain distant from the conflict, and that she would inevitably want to have a role and offer something to humanity, because she carried a deep love for humans within her.
She could be considered similar to the Golden Emperor in her protection and care for humanity, but in her own way. She does not follow a path similar to his in spreading hope and trying to make everyone understand one another by opening their hearts, planting love within them, and building bridges of understanding.
For her, her Path is the complete opposite. It is the elimination of every threat that might harm humans, even if those threats are humans themselves. She does not tolerate any danger, nor does she give any enemy a chance. Instead, she eliminates them before they can become a threat. She may make harsh and extreme decisions, showing no mercy and never hesitating, all for the sake of protecting humanity and ensuring its survival. She believes that peace can only be achieved by removing everyone who threatens it, and that mercy can sometimes be weakness while cruelty can sometimes be necessary.
The reason for this goes back to the nature of her upbringing. She was born in a dark era in the inner world, when humans were devoured, enslaved, and used for every kind of evil by other races. Their lives were worth nothing, and they were used merely as fuel for wars, materials for experiments, and food for monsters.
That darkness she lived through made her nature lean heavily toward extreme and harsh methods when dealing with any threat, because she learned that showing mercy to an enemy was a betrayal of the victims and a cruelty toward the innocent.
