The Monster Investigation Bureau was quiet. Most agents were asleep in their dorms, while a few patrolled outside with the robots.
That is, until an emergency notice came in from a nearby police station, informing them that monsters and mutant beasts had appeared in Times Square.
Sleep was no longer an option for anyone at the Monster Investigation Bureau. They scrambled out of bed, threw on their combat gear, and assembled on the training grounds.
Lin Jingjing and her four teammates were already standing there, their faces grim and their eyes filled with killing intent.
Especially Lin Jingjing. 'Thinking of him,' she thought, 'she knew her eyes gave her away.'
Once everyone had assembled, Lin Jingjing didn't waste words. Just two: "Move out!"
Everyone boarded the warship and headed for Times Square.
By now, Times Square was littered with the dead and wounded. The survivors hid in the shadows, clamping their hands over their mouths, daring not to make a sound.
