Nina Donovan followed behind him, sighing with admiration. "I just knew this noodle shop would make it big."
A small smile touched the lips of Jasper Sherwood, who was walking ahead.
He went to the window to order. "Two bowls of beef noodle soup, extra meat, easy on the scallions, no cilantro."
Nina clutched her rumbling stomach, silently watching Jasper's tall, straight back as she sat down and waited for him.
Soon, steaming hot bowls of noodles arrived at the table, their fragrant aroma wafting up with the rising steam.
Nina couldn't wait to dig in.
After the first bite, her eyes sparkled as she looked at Jasper. "It tastes exactly the same! Being able to eat this beef noodle soup in Valengard makes me three times as happy."
Jasper stirred his noodles with his chopsticks and replied, "I'm glad you like it."
As Nina ate with gusto, Jasper suddenly found his own appetite stirring.
He didn't usually eat much after eight in the evening.
