After getting a thorough beating, Lu Tao immediately became docile. He ordered someone to carry the young man away, then came over to his sister with a fawning smile, sat down, and said flatteringly.

"Get out. Go and get Guan Renjie for me," Lu Bingning replied coldly.
Hearing Lu Bingning's words, Lu Tao quickly nodded in agreement. He then walked out of the room with his swollen face. Before long, Lu Tao returned with Guan Renjie.
Once they had both arrived, Lin Yun chatted with them for a bit. It was clear that Lu Tao and Guan Renjie were doing quite well for themselves at the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master's Guild; at the very least, the guards there were very obedient to them.
