The Spider-Man team brought the beaten and bound Peter to their temporary base. They sat him down on a chair in a closed room.
"All right, one last time. Listen to all of us," Noir began.
"I'm not going to listen to you. You monsters broke my arm and my nose when I was helpless.
"Yeah, right, powerless. You almost killed us," said Silk.
"Shut up! You filthy creature, standing behind a stupid man and manipulating him! I'll get out of here and kill you, I promise, I'll kill you slowly and painfully!" shouted Peter, who had gone mad.
"You'd better shut up, bug," Octavius stopped him.
"Ha-ha, you mollusc.
"I'll kill you.
"Enough! Stop, Midgarders," Spider-Thor stopped them. "Are you trying to save him or make him even angrier?
"They don't know how to support him, I realised that a long time ago..." muttered Peter.
The spiders took turns questioning, begging, pleading, and simply talking to Parker, but no one was able to calm him down. After an hour, they gave up trying to help Peter peacefully. Gwen Spider entered the room unnoticed.
"Hmm, they couldn't do it, did they send you?
"I came on my own.
"Why? Gwen... let's be honest, you know me well, I know you. You know what it means to lose the only person you love, so don't try to calm me down.
"You're right. I know you too well. But I have a request.
"What is it?
"Go with them to Tkach. Just this once.
Peter, despite his reluctance to go anywhere, especially with the other Spiders, agreed.
A little later. A squad consisting of Peter himself, Octopus, Spider-2099, Spider-Strange, and a few other Friendly Neighbours travelled to Earth-001, straight to the Weaver's lair. The plan was as follows: the heroes would ask the Master for help, as Jason had suggested before killing Osborn, and in any case, everything would end there. However, the Weaver greeted them rather coldly, considering the special significance of the Spiders. All because of Peter's actions.
"SPIDER-MAN OF EARTH-163, WHAT ARE YOU...
"Yes, I know, I know!" he replied rudely.
"Lord Tkach, we need your help. Peter's girlfriend, Jessica Drew..." Octavius began.
"THE GIRL-SPIDER OF EARTH-163. SHE WAS KILLED BY THE GREEN GOBLIN A FEW DAYS AGO.
"Yes, yes... Can you bring her back?" asked Strange.
"ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH MY POWERS. THE QUESTION IS, IS IT IN MY INTEREST?
"Interests?! You're a fucking spider god! You! You!" Peter shouted in despair.
"Weaver, help us. Look at him, he's... killing.
"Hm. I'm interested in that. Spider-Man of Earth-928, bring Taskmaster of Earth-69 and Doctor Strange of Earth-616 to the altar.
"Understood.
Miguel opened a portal, from which emerged the Supreme Magus of Earth-616 and an unknown hero from Earth-69. They stood on the altar and began to recite a spell. Peter realised that now he would either fix everything or make everything worse. He was confused by his own desires. But one thing he knew for sure. He had to save Jess.
"Cessim. Tempus. Aranea," Strange, the Weaver, and Taskmaster said in unison.
Peter was suddenly transported through a portal into the darkness between universes. He found himself in space. In a matter of moments, he witnessed an endless number of events from his Earth. The life of Earth-163. Everything flashed before his eyes, and Peter was standing in the same place where it all began... The battle with Goblin, Shocker, and Electro. Time froze. Strange, Tkac, and Taskmaster appeared nearby.
"ONE TRY, PETER.
"And only one chance.
"Do what you think is best, Spider-Man.
They disappeared. Peter stood still. He knew what to do, but he couldn't. Peter saw Jess alive. Nearby were Schultz and Max Dillon, the thugs, Osborn... Peter couldn't make up his mind... But an inner voice, the voice of Uncle Ben, said:
"Remember, Peter... With great power comes great responsibility.
He was ready to kill Osborn. But Peter couldn't do it again. Not again. Spider-Man took a running start. He jumped. He flew into Electro. Dillon was knocked out. Somersault. Punch. Shocker unconscious. Jump. Web shot. Goblin knocked off the glider and on the ground. Peter defeated everyone in a matter of seconds. He did it... He saved Jessica.
"Peter? How did you...?" asked a surprised Jess.
Peter said nothing and silently hugged her. She was even more surprised, but still didn't understand what had come over him. Pete didn't say a word. Tears dripped through his mask onto the girl's shoulder.
"Are you crying? What's wrong?"
"Jess... I...
Peter hugged her even tighter. The rest of the Spiders arrived, but they didn't understand what had happened, why Pete and Jess were standing in the middle of the street hugging each other.
