Ethan's eyes fell on the master tamer he had appointed as manager of the Palace of Beasts. The man was already striding toward him.
He was an old man in the third stage, around one hundred and twenty years old.
His appearance, however, was that of a man in his fifties, with broad shoulders and a neatly trimmed gray beard. His build looked powerful enough to wrestle a bull to the ground with ease.
"My Lord! It's good to see you here!" He flashed a broad smile and bowed at once, one hand over his chest. "Lady Arwen and Lady Seo-ah are in the hatchery. The egg is about to hatch."
Ethan nodded, a spark of interest flashing in his eyes.
He followed the old man without hesitation.
The nursery sat in a relatively elevated part of the Goldenveil Palace of Beasts, right in the heart of the structure.
It was essentially an island, surrounded by defensive towers on all sides and held aloft by massive chains.
Access was restricted, and the entire place was covered in protective arrays.
