"Tch!" Tsunade shot Uchiha Raizen a disdainful look, then added, "Since you're so free, accompany me for a few drinks and a small gamble!"
"Why not?" Raizen replied with a grin.
Before long, the two arrived at a restaurant and secured a private booth. They spent the afternoon placing small bets and clinking glasses. It didn't take long for Tsunade's pockets to be picked clean of every last Ryō.
Fuming at her losses, Tsunade glared at Raizen and began insistently pouring him more drinks. She may have lost the money, but she refused to lose the drinking contest. Neither of them knew how many cups they had drained, but eventually, the world began to spin. Raizen was drunk, and Tsunade was even worse off.
The next morning, Raizen opened his eyes and froze. Tsunade woke up at the same time. Their eyes met, and a wave of intense embarrassment washed over the room.
"Get up already! You're crushing me," Tsunade said, her face flushing a deep crimson.
"My apologies, Sister Tsunade," Raizen said, quickly sitting up.
"Turn around! Don't look!"
"Oh!" Raizen obediently turned his back. As he did, his gaze fell upon a prominent stain of red on the wooden floorboards. He was utterly floored.
"Sister Tsunade... was that your first time?"
"What? Is the Hokage not allowed to be a virgin?"
"No, I'm just... surprised." Raizen was indeed shocked. He never imagined that the fifty-year-old Tsunade was still pure. Hadn't she had a boyfriend? Dan Katō?
"Did you and Dan never...?" he couldn't help but ask.
"You've already taken advantage of this old lady, what more do you want?" Tsunade snapped, finished dressing. She shot him a warning glare. "This stays between us. Not a soul finds out. Understood?"
Raizen nodded solemnly. "But you didn't answer my question."
Tsunade took a deep breath, her heart still racing from the impulsive mistake of the previous night. "Dan and I... we had just made it official when he was sent to the front lines. He died shortly after." Her voice carried a trace of lingering sorrow.
"Don't worry, Sister. I'll take responsibility for you," Raizen said, turning back to look at her with total sincerity.
"I don't need you to take responsibility. Once we walk out of this room, nothing happened. It's late; the Hokage needs to get back to work."
Tsunade straightened her clothes, gave Raizen one last look, and pushed open the door. Raizen didn't chase her. It was a sudden development; she needed time to process it. Some things couldn't be rushed.
Looking back at the red stain on the floor, a faint smile played on Raizen's lips.
Changing Fates
The days ticked by. Soon, the time arrived for Naruto Uzumaki to return from his training trip with Jiraiya. During this period, Tsunade frequently "summoned" Raizen to private booths for drinks and gambling. And every time they got drunk, certain "unspeakable secrets" occurred.
Despite Raizen's presence as a transmigrator, the core plot continued. Shortly after his return, Naruto went to Mount Myōboku to learn Sage Mode. In the interim, Asuma Sarutobi nearly met his end, losing an arm and a leg, effectively ending his career as a shinobi.
Then, Jiraiya prepared to depart for the Hidden Rain Village to investigate the so-called "God" of the Akatsuki. Hearing this from Tsunade, Raizen's brow furrowed. Is Jiraiya's fate catching up to him? Should I save him?
"Jiraiya will die?" "Do you want me to go save him?"
Inside a private booth, Raizen held a blushing Tsunade in his arms. His hands were... busy. Tsunade's face was glowing, her skin looking like that of an eighteen-year-old girl with no trace of age to be seen.
"Jiraiya die? No way," Tsunade panted, her face flushed. "He's incredibly strong. If we really fought, even I might not beat him."
"The 'God' in the Rain Village possesses the Rinnegan," Raizen explained. "Jiraiya knows nothing of his abilities, while the enemy knows Jiraiya perfectly. Without intel, even the Great Sage will fall."
Tsunade stiffened. "The Rinnegan? The legendary eyes? Who is this God?"
Raizen gave her a squeeze, earning a soft moan. "You've met him, Sister. He's one of the three orphans Jiraiya took in years ago—Nagato Uzumaki."
"That boy?" Tsunade blinked. "Wait... if it's him, Jiraiya is his teacher. He wouldn't actually kill him, would he?"
"He calls himself a God now. What won't he do?"
Tsunade looked pained. "Jiraiya is vital to the Leaf. We can't lose him!"
"In that case..." Raizen leaned in and whispered a specific "request" into her ear. "I'll go save him."
Tsunade turned beet-red. "Only... only this once!"
"Deal!"
An Unexpected Reunion
In a ripple of space, Raizen appeared atop the high tower in the Hidden Rain where he had once taken Konan.
However, the epic battle between Jiraiya and Nagato wasn't happening. Instead, the two were sitting on the roof, drinking and chatting. Raizen stood there, momentarily stunned.
Nagato sensed his arrival instantly. He turned and saw Raizen's bewildered face. "Why are you here?"
Jiraiya also turned, his eyes widening. "Master! What are you doing here?"
(To write a better 'smut' novel than Raizen, Jiraiya had actually insisted on becoming Raizen's 'disciple' in the art of literature.)
"Why aren't you guys fighting?" Raizen asked.
"Why would we be fighting?" Jiraiya asked, confused.
Nagato looked at Raizen and spoke calmly. "I've decided to abandon the plan to collect the Tailed Beasts. I realized that forcing people to live in a dream world is meaningless. Establishing peace in reality is the true will of Yahiko."
"So... I came all this way for nothing?" Raizen muttered, annoyed.
"Master, since you're here, have a drink with us!" Jiraiya offered.
Raizen sighed and sat down. It seemed taking Konan away had changed Nagato's mindset more than he realized. Peace without blood was for the best. After a few rounds, Raizen asked, "Nagato, what about the two Uchiha traitors in your organization?"
"Two? Isn't it just Itachi?" Jiraiya asked.
"There's another," Raizen said. "The one behind the Nine-Tails incident—Obito Uchiha. He's lurking in Akatsuki calling himself 'Madara' or 'Tobi'."
Jiraiya's spirit shook. "Obito? Isn't he dead?"
Raizen shook his head. "Madara saved him. Or rather, manipulated him."
"You know even these secrets?" Nagato asked, looking at Raizen with renewed shock.
"I know everything," Raizen smiled faintly.
"They should be out hunting Tailed Beasts on their own," Nagato reported. "Since Konan left, I rarely convene the group. They are following previous orders in various nations. White Zetsu can find them, though. Do you want to hunt them down?"
Raizen shook his head. "Forget it. As long as they don't provoke me, I won't waste my breath. They'll eventually come to Konoha for the Nine-Tails; I'll settle it then."
"Master... are you sure?" Jiraiya asked worriedly. "Those are S-rank criminals."
"Relax. They aren't on my level anymore."
Raizen hadn't been idle. Mei Terumi had already given birth to several of his children, and his other wives were constantly adding to the clan. The accumulated system rewards had pushed his strength to unfathomable heights. He had never even had to go all out. Recently, Tsunade had been suffering from morning sickness; Raizen suspected she was pregnant as well.
"Once I deal with the remnants," Raizen smiled, "I'll be leaving the Leaf."
"Where are you going, Master?" Jiraiya asked.
Raizen laughed as his figure began to fade into the light.
"Home!!!"
