Chapter 1 - Title: The Silence Between Two Heartbeats.

Chapter One: The Letter That Should Not ExistErian grew up believing he was ordinary.

He lived with his aunt and uncle, who treated him like an unwanted memory. Strange things happened around him—mirrors cracked when he was angry, doors unlocked when he was afraid—but he learned to stay quiet. Silence was safer.

On his seventeenth birthday, a letter appeared under his pillow.

No stamp.

No address.

Written in silver ink that moved like it was alive.

You are summoned to the Obsidian Academy.

Where magic is not taught—but survived.

Before he could finish reading, the walls of his room dissolved into darkness.

Chapter Two: The Academy Beneath the World

The Obsidian Academy did not exist on any map.

It was buried beneath an ancient mountain, protected by spells older than language. Students from all over the world arrived there—some excited, some terrified, some already broken.

Magic here was not beautiful.

It was dangerous.

Students learned Shadowcraft, Mindbinding, Blood Sigils, and Temporal Fracture. Failure did not mean detention.

Failure meant disappearance.

Erian was placed in House Nocturne, known for producing either legends—or monsters.

That's where he met:

Lyra Mournfell – brilliant, cold, hiding unbearable grief

Cael Thorn – charming, reckless, afraid of being weak

Mireth – silent, pale, who spoke only in riddles

Friendship formed slowly, painfully—because trust in Obsidian Academy was a luxury.

Chapter Three: The Truth in His Blood

During a forbidden ritual class, Erian lost control.

The shadows didn't obey him.

They obeyed something inside him.

The instructors froze.

One of them whispered in horror:

"He is a Void-Bearer."

Void-Bearers were not supposed to exist anymore. They were living weapons—capable of destroying magic itself. Long ago, a war between Void-Bearers and Mages nearly erased the world.

And according to prophecy…

The last Void-Bearer would either save magic—or end it forever.

Erian was that prophecy.

Chapter Four: Love Is a Dangerous Spell

Lyra was the first to see Erian as human—not a threat.

Late nights in the library. Shared nightmares. Unspoken understanding.

He fell in love with her quietly.

But Lyra carried her own curse.

Her family had been executed by the Academy for treason. And she believed—no, knew—that the Academy was lying about the past.

Love grew.

So did doubt.

Chapter Five: The Betrayal That Shattered the Academy

Cael betrayed them.

He revealed Erian's identity to the High Council in exchange for power.

The Academy turned on Erian overnight.

Friends became hunters.

Teachers became executioners.

Lyra chose Erian.

They fled into the forbidden lower levels—where failed spells screamed and ancient magic slept.

There, they discovered the truth:

The Academy was built not to protect the world…

…but to control the Void-Bearer.

Erian was never meant to graduate.

He was meant to be used...
