Chapter 18 - The Key to Perfecting the Monster Strength Punch

Meeting Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki was just a small interlude.

At most, they had gotten acquainted. Akira and Kurenai Yuhi soon took their leave and headed toward the Yuhi residence while eating tricolor dango.

Akira had already revealed that he might be from the Uzumaki clan.

There would definitely be more contact in the future. As for these two powerful thighs—Akira certainly wouldn't let go.

There were quite a few techniques in their hands that interested him.

The Uzumaki clan's various sealing techniques and secret arts; Minato's Rasengan and Flying Thunder God Technique…

Meanwhile, watching the two small figures leave, Kushina stroked her chin and looked at her boyfriend. "Minato, do you think Akira might be from the Uzumaki clan?"

The Uzumaki clan didn't possess an obvious kekkei genkai.

If there was one defining trait, it would be their strong life force and recovery ability…

External features weren't easy to distinguish. Even she couldn't be certain whether Akira was Uzumaki or not…

Minato wasn't entirely sure either. "It's possible. Although Akira is still young, from my perception, his chakra reserves far exceed those of his peers."

"However, it's hard to be certain. There are also many geniuses with chakra beyond their age. To know for sure, we'd have to ask Lord Hokage."

Whether he was or not, Hiruzen Sarutobi should have a judgment.

"That's true. The Third Old Man must know something. Hmph, if he really is Uzumaki and that old man didn't tell me!" Kushina huffed.

"Haha, maybe now just isn't the right time…" Minato already had a guess in his heart.

If Akira truly was Uzumaki, then he might very well be the village's next key candidate for… Jinchūriki.

A Jinchūriki wasn't something just anyone could become. Those with Uzumaki blood were undoubtedly the most suitable…

Jinchūriki…

Minato glanced at Kushina and sighed inwardly.

Becoming a Jinchūriki was not a good thing. Kushina often woke from nightmares because of the Nine-Tails' malicious chakra.

Even worse, she had lost her freedom, frequently confined within sealing barriers…

Kushina pouted. "Whether it's the right time or not, I'll go ask the Third Old Man later. If he is Uzumaki, then I'll have a clansman little brother!"

She wasn't alone—Minato had always been by her side.

But if there were another member of the same clan, she would naturally be happy.

Especially since Akira was such a cute little boy. That mature-little-adult demeanor was quite interesting!

Minato doted on his girlfriend and smiled gently. "Alright, I'll go with you later…"

...

Back at home.

Akira didn't slack off and continued his daily training.

He wouldn't rely solely on the system. The system was somewhat abstract—missions triggered too rarely, and rewards were still too few.

There were many ways to grow stronger. Relying on oneself was one of them.

With his outstanding talent, he couldn't let it go to waste. Resting on his laurels was not an option—effort was still necessary!

After nearly a month of chakra refinement, the amount of chakra stored in Akira's body was already considerable.

In Yuhi Shinku's words, it had reached the level of an ordinary Genin.

Refining chakra for less than a month and already possessing this level of reserves further confirmed that Akira was likely a descendant of the Uzumaki clan!

At this moment, in front of the wooden pillar in the backyard—

Akira took a deep breath, his gaze sharp.

He mobilized the chakra within his body, ejecting it from the tenketsu in his fist. At the instant of throwing the punch, the chakra swelled violently—also incorporating the force application technique of Hadō #1 · Shō.

Boom!

With a thunderous sound, his fist struck the wooden pillar.

The pillar was blasted to pieces, wood splinters flying everywhere and scattering across the ground…

Shaking his aching right fist, Akira frowned. "Still not perfect. The recoil still injures my fist…"

A sudden idea had led him to combine the force application technique of Hadō #1 · Shō with chakra manipulation, attempting to replicate the Monster Strength Punch of one of the Sannin, Tsunade.

The results were quite noticeable.

However, it still wasn't perfect. He couldn't completely negate the recoil of the attack.

Although it was no longer like the beginning—where one punch left his fist a bloody mess—he still got injured, just less severely…

Akira didn't continue trying. Instead, he sat on the steps and fell into deep thought.

"It shouldn't be like this. With my talent, how could I have spent nearly a month and still not perfected it? What exactly am I missing?"

No matter what he learned, Akira's speed was always fast. His talent was exceptional.

After exploring for nearly a month and still not fully perfecting the Monster Strength Punch—it wasn't scientific!

"Could it be that this body is still too weak?"

Looking at his small arms and legs, Akira wondered whether his physical condition was the limiting factor.

After all, he hadn't fully developed yet. There were definitely certain restrictions…

If it wasn't an issue of comprehension, then it had to be physical limitations…

"Although Monster Strength Punch is a chakra application technique, it must also be related to one's physical constitution. After all, it incorporates punching—it's a form of taijutsu, a steel-fist style…"

Akira let his thoughts run freely, recalling everything.

"Wait—taijutsu!?"

At that thought, Akira's eyes suddenly lit up.

That's right—taijutsu. How could he forget that?

Monster Strength Punch was taijutsu that utilized chakra. It definitely wasn't as simple as randomly throwing a punch and detonating chakra for an attack.

The swelling and explosive chakra only enhanced the attack's power.

Even without explosive chakra, Tsunade's punches would surely still be powerful.

As for taijutsu, Akira hadn't begun learning it yet.

The Ninja Academy curriculum was still in the foundational stage—teaching theory, conditioning, knowledge, history… basic subjects.

Even ninja tool throwing had only just begun recently, with today being the first practical session.

The curriculum progressed step by step.

If Monster Strength Punch required consideration of both taijutsu fundamentals and physical constitution—

Then Akira, who hadn't learned even basic taijutsu and whose body hadn't met the necessary standards, naturally wouldn't be able to perfect it.

"That might actually be it… taijutsu and physical condition…"

Thinking of this possibility, excitement flashed in Akira's eyes.

Being able to independently develop the Monster Strength Punch would give him an immense sense of accomplishment.

After all, without guidance, refining and perfecting it on his own was nearly equivalent to creating it himself.

He was truly strong.

"Uncle Shinku definitely knows basic taijutsu. I'll train with him first. Practicing basic taijutsu should also improve my physical condition—killing two birds with one stone…"

Akira felt it was time to begin training in basic taijutsu.

Although the Ninja Academy would eventually teach the most basic taijutsu as the curriculum advanced—

Akira was too impatient to wait.

Something that had stalled him for nearly a month—he wanted to complete and perfect it as soon as possible. Otherwise, leaving

it unresolved gnawed at him.

Perhaps this was a kind of obsessive tendency…
