Ep 2 Update
Damian left the room soon and locked it. Selene woke up feeling like her whole body was in pain because she had been asleep on the floor. She looked outside, seeing it was already sunset. She felt very thirsty, but she knew that wasn't a strong excuse to get out of there... Washroom.. Yeah, that's the best
excuse, Selene thought.

That evening, it was an important night. Everyone in his family was invited to his mansion.
Damian got ready, wearing an expensive suit, watch, and shoes. His hair was styled up, making him even more handsome than he already was. His tie matched his icy cold blue and greyish sharp eyes.
Meanwhile, Selene was still in the room, coming up with a plan. Suddenly, the door unlocked. A bodyguard named Leo came in. He was a young man in his mid-20s. Selene stepped back quickly.
Leo was holding a tray with some cookies and water. He put it on the desk and turned to leave, but Selene spoke.
"Can you tell me what's going on, please..?"
Leo turned coldly and answered,
"There's nothing I can say. Just shut it, and you might live tonight."
Said Leo sharply yet calmly.
Selene felt so many emotions—fear, anger, and panic.
"And wipe that blood on the corner of your lips. You look too good for this cruel world."
Said Leo before leaving.
Selene was surprised. Her lip was bleeding? She wiped it immediately, knowing what he meant. She would look weak like this... I can't look weak, Selene thought to herself.
She immediately ate the cookies and drank the water, but she kept thinking about what Leo meant by "you might live tonight." What is it? A special night or something? She HAD to go outside. Maybe she'll escape.
In the dining room:
The big luxury dining room was filled with elegant people dressed expensively. The table was prepared with food elegantly and perfectly. Maids were serving, bodyguards were protecting around. Damian was sitting at the head of the table, chatting business as usual with his cold expression.
His mother: Celestina Moretti (Mrs. Moretti), an elegant, powerful elder woman in her early 50s, sitting elegantly, holding a glass of expensive wine.
Beside her: Regina Devurex, a young beautiful lady, 24 years old, the daughter of a close family of the Morettis. Her hair was long; she was tall and very beautiful. She was friendly with Mrs. Moretti.
The room was filled with laughter, chats, and the clicks of plates and glasses.
Meanwhile, Selene was planning her escape. She tried the window, but it was too high. The only thing left was the washroom excuse. Selene knocked on the locked door softly first.
"Uh.. Hey, anyone there? I need to use the washroom."
No answer. Then she got a little angry and knocked louder.
"HEEEY? NO ONE HERE? I'M GONNA PEE MYSELF! OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!"
Still nothing. Then she got frustrated. She started knocking louder and cursing them for some minutes. Suddenly, the door started unlocking. Selene's heart beat faster. She stepped back quickly.
A bodyguard stood there, looking angry.
"What the hell do you want, you brat? Don't you know there are people outside? Shut up or you'll get killed."
Selene stayed silent, a little scared, then went back to being brave.
"I- I need to use the washroom. It's- it's urgent."
The bodyguard sighed, frustrated.
"That's... Ugh, God. I can't. Boss wouldn't let me."
Selene tried harder.
"Are you serious? I need the bathroom. Don't you understand?"
The bodyguard shushed her as he heard high heel clicks.
"Fine! Just shut up. I'll get you there. Just shut up, got it?" he whispered.
Selene nodded quickly and agreed. Now she knew there were people outside. She had a chance, maybe.
The bodyguard took her out there. While walking, Selene heard laughter and clicking noises. Then the washroom. It was big. The sink was beautiful. She couldn't find any escape there.
She unlocked the door quietly, peeking her head out. She saw a woman holding a beautiful little girl. She was crying. The woman and the bodyguard were trying to keep her silent. Selene listened secretly.
"You're her babysitter. It's your job to keep her silent," said the bodyguard.
"Ahg, don't you get it? She's not listening to me," said the woman.
The little girl was crying, her cheeks flushed and wet with tears.
"I don't want to go to bed! Waaah! Let me gooo!"
The bodyguard turned and saw Selene. He frowned and grabbed her.
"C'mon. Thank God you're done."
But I couldn't just stand there and not do anything. I wouldn't forgive myself. So I took the chance.
"H-Hello...!" Selene said to the little girl.
The bodyguard's eyes widened. He grabbed her away.
"What the hell do you think—!"
But his phone rang. He turned for a moment while the woman sighed clearly annoyed and walked away. Selene took the chance immediately.
"H-hey, little one..! Wanna get out of this boring place? I know they force you too, don't they?"
The little girl nodded, her eyes big and glossy from tears.
"Okay then, you ought to help me. I'll help you too. Distract that man over there for me. Say you want something, anything, or you'll scream, okay? Got it, girl?"
The little girl nodded excitedly and bravely.
At that moment, the bodyguard grabbed Selene and started taking her back to the room she was in before. Selene was nervous. She hoped it would work.
They were some feet away from the door when suddenly that little girl appeared behind them.
"I'm hungry! I want cookies and milk now, now! Kitchen! Get me to the kitchen!"
"I can't do that. You have to go to bed, little doll."
"NO! I'll scream if you don't get me there! Now! 3, 2, 1!"
"Oh my— okay, okay! Just stay silent, okay? Or else we'll get in trouble."
The bodyguard turned to Selene, but before he could say anything—
"Oh man, your job is really hard. I understand you. I'll go to the room though, don't worry. I'm already sleepy, so don't worry... tsk tsk, go go or she'll scream."
The bodyguard rolled his eyes, pushed her toward the door, and started taking the little girl to the kitchen.
Selene then walked. She saw bodyguards and hid immediately. Then I realized I had been upstairs the whole time. I walked down the stairs. At the last one, I heard noises. I hid immediately. It was all laughter and clicks of knives and forks. For a moment I thought... Those rich bastards... But I wouldn't let them kill me.
I found a very big window, but before that, I saw security cameras. They were everywhere. Damn it. And they were all active. I had to turn them off or... hack them. But I needed a device, damn it, and I didn't have one.
I was wearing a hoodie, so it wasn't that bad. I hid my hair and walked nonchalantly to not seem suspicious. I found a room filled with cleaning stuff like wipers and poles. I grabbed one.
Then I heard footsteps. I hid behind the door, but damn it, I dropped the metal pole and the footsteps stopped. It slowly got closer.
"Fuck no..."
The door opened. I hit whoever it was harshly from behind. The bodyguard collapsed to the floor.
Fuck, what am I? A killer now?
I slowly knelt and touched his pulse.
"Nah, I don't think he's dead."
I felt guilty, but I had to escape. I searched his pockets and found a phone and a pistol. I was scared, so I only took the device. I closed the door and immediately explored the phone. I found the security code and immediately turned off the cameras by hacking the system.
I had to be more careful now. I took off the bodyguard's suit jacket and wore it myself, and grabbed a sharp tool there... just in case.
Now all the security systems were off. Only the escape door wasn't. After a lot of searching, I found the door. I was sure now everyone was looking for me, so it was time to run as fast as I could.
I grabbed the door handle and felt a hand on my leg. My heart dropped. I turned quickly—
It was the little girl.
"You're not leaving me, are you..?"
Her voice was soft yet shaking, almost about to cry.
"I... I can't take you with me. It's dangerous and scary. I'm sorry, girl."
The little girl cried, her voice kind of loud.
"Please, please be quiet," Selene said.
"You promised! Waaah! You're a liar! Just like everyone! Hic— waaah!"
Her words left Selene traumatized. Out of fury, she picked her up.
"Fine. Come with me."
Selene held the little girl tightly in her arms and started running in the big garden. The enormous metal door was open. Luckily, she thought she could go out and leave easily because there seemed to be a lot of people there, perhaps guests. She had no idea who they were.
But she saw a big garage. While running, she stopped and ran in there. It was full of luxury and expensive cars. Selene needed one so she could escape. She looked for the keys while the little girl was in her arms. She found one key, and it was for a black BMW.
She went toward the car. Her hand was trembling as she opened the door and put the little girl in the passenger seat, then turned.
"I need to go to the driver's se—"
BOOM!
Selene felt a sharp pain in her arm. The gunshot. Behind her. No... no, I'm shot!? I can't die, not now.
Selene cursed loudly and cried out in pain. Without looking behind, she opened the door and VROOM! Started the car and drove. Everyone shot at the car, but her speed was incredible. She got out of the mansion before the enormous metal gate closed. She drove fast even though she didn't have full skill.
She looked at the little girl, who was not even scared. She was calm, sitting there.
Selene felt dizzy. She could feel she was losing blood...
