Chapter 32 - edition 29 "the glimpse before the great war"

📖 EDITION 29 — "THE EVE OF THE FINAL WAR"

Season 1

Opening Scene

The attacks...

Stopped.

For the first time in months...

No explosions.

No sabotage.

No alarms.

Only...

Silence.

The silence was far more terrifying than the attacks.

Every Version knew what it meant.

The end was near.

Headquarters

The Dreamer stood atop the western wall.

He looked across the endless battlefield.

Nothing.

Not a single enemy.

Not a single sound.

Dreamer

"...Why did they stop?"

The Writer slowly climbed the stairs beside him.

His eyes never left the horizon.

Writer

"Because..."

"...their preparations are complete."

Silence.

The Headquarters

No one trained anymore.

No one sparred.

Weapons were sharpened one last time.

Armor was repaired one last time.

Letters were written.

Friends embraced.

Some laughed.

Some cried.

Some quietly looked at the stars.

No one knew...

Who would still be alive tomorrow.

Barbaric Author

He planted his sword into the ground.

Barbaric Author

"If tomorrow is my last battle..."

"I'll make sure it's remembered."

Futuristic Author

He activated the Headquarters' final defense system.

Blue energy surrounded the walls.

Futuristic Author

"I've done everything I could..."

He looked toward the sky.

Futuristic Author

"The rest..."

"...is up to us."

Redeemed Author

He quietly walked through the medical wing.

Every bed was prepared.

Every bandage folded.

Every medicine organized.

He whispered...

Redeemed Author

"I hope..."

"...we won't need all of these."

The Forgotten Version

He sat alone in the ancient library.

Closing the last history book.

Forgotten Version

"Tomorrow..."

"A new chapter begins."

The Letter

As the sun began to set...

A black feather drifted into the Council Hall.

It landed gently on the Writer's desk.

Attached to it...

Was a single black envelope.

No one had seen who delivered it.

The Writer slowly opened it.

Inside...

Only one page.

Written in neat black ink.

To the Council...

You trained.

You endured.

You learned.

Tomorrow...

Bring every Version.

Bring every weapon.

Bring every hope.

Because tomorrow...

I won't send shadows.

I will come myself.

— Nemesis

The room fell completely silent.

The Writer folded the letter.

Writer

"...It's time."

Meanwhile...

Far beyond the mountains...

An enormous black camp stretched across the valley.

Thousands of torches burned like stars.

Standing before them...

Were four figures.

Nemesis.

Johan Liebert.

Malice.

The Shattered One.

Behind them...

Hundreds of loyal warriors silently waited.

No cheers.

No shouting.

Only discipline.

Malice stepped forward.

Malice

"The army awaits your command."

Johan calmly adjusted his gloves.

Johan

"The Council is prepared."

The Shattered One looked toward the moon.

Shattered One

"The story reaches its turning point."

Nemesis slowly unsheathed his sword.

The blade reflected the moonlight.

Nemesis

"For years..."

"They believed tomorrow would never come."

He raised his sword toward the Headquarters in the distance.

Nemesis

"Tomorrow..."

"We finish what history began."

The entire army silently raised their weapons.

Midnight

Back at Headquarters...

Every Version gathered in the Grand Plaza.

No speeches.

No celebrations.

The Writer stood before them.

Writer

"I won't promise everyone survives."

Silence.

Writer

"I won't promise victory."

He looked into every face.

Writer

"But I promise this..."

He drew his fountain pen like a sword.

Writer

"We fight..."

"Not because we hate the enemy..."

He looked toward the distant mountains.

Writer

"...But because we love the world behind us."

Every Version raised their weapon.

Not with anger.

With resolve.

Final Scene

The first rays of dawn slowly appeared.

On one side...

The Headquarters.

Thousands of Versions standing shoulder to shoulder.

On the other...

Nemesis.

Johan.

Malice.

The Shattered One.

And an army stretching beyond the horizon.

Neither side moved.

Neither side spoke.

The wind blew across the battlefield.

The final page of the Writer's notebook slowly turned by itself.

Across it appeared only four words.

"The Final War Begins."

The page closed.

Everything faded to black.
