Chapter 19 - edition 16 " the origin of nemesis "

📖 EDITION 16 — "SHADOWS OF THE PAST"

Season 1

Opening Scene

Darkness.

Not ordinary darkness.

A darkness that felt... forgotten.

The battlefield was gone.

The smoke had disappeared.

Only silence remained.

A single page slowly turned inside the Writer's notebook.

Then another.

Then another.

The Writer stood alone inside the Council Library.

For the first time...

He wasn't writing.

He was searching.

Writer

"...Where did it begin?"

Behind him, the Dreamer entered quietly.

Dreamer

"You've been here since the war ended."

The Writer nodded.

His eyes never left the books.

Writer

"I'm looking for something."

Dreamer

"What?"

The Writer gently removed an old book from a dusty shelf.

Unlike the others...

It had no title.

Only a black symbol burned into its cover.

Writer

"Him."

The Dreamer's expression changed.

Dreamer

"Nemesis..."

The Writer nodded.

Writer

"If we're ever going to stop another war..."

"We have to understand why the first one happened."

He slowly opened the book.

Nothing.

Every page was blank.

Dreamer

"It's empty."

The Writer frowned.

Writer

"No..."

He turned another page.

Still blank.

Another.

Blank.

Then—

A single sentence slowly appeared.

Written as though by an invisible hand.

"Truth is only revealed to those willing to accept it."

The library trembled.

The lights dimmed.

The air became cold.

A voice echoed through the shelves.

Unknown Voice

"So..."

"You've finally come."

The Dreamer immediately turned around.

Nobody.

Only endless books.

Dreamer

"Who's there?"

Silence.

The Writer closed his eyes.

Writer

"I know that voice."

The bookshelves slowly began moving.

Like giant walls.

Creating a path.

At the end of that path...

A single wooden door appeared.

Old.

Covered with chains.

Dust filled the air around it.

Above the door were carved four words.

MEMORIES NEVER TRULY DIE

The Dreamer slowly approached.

Dreamer

"What's behind it?"

The Writer didn't answer immediately.

Writer

"I've never opened it."

Dreamer

"Why?"

The Writer lowered his head.

Writer

"Because I was afraid."

Silence.

The Dreamer placed his hand on the door.

The chains immediately began glowing.

One by one...

They unlocked themselves.

CLANG...

CLANG...

CLANG...

The door slowly creaked open.

Inside...

There was no room.

Only darkness.

Then...

A memory appeared.

A peaceful field.

Blue skies.

Gentle wind.

Children laughing.

The Dreamer smiled.

Dreamer

"This doesn't look like Nemesis."

The Writer looked carefully.

Then...

His eyes widened.

Writer

"No..."

Walking through the field...

Was a young boy.

Smiling.

Laughing.

Helping others.

Completely different from the Nemesis they knew.

The Dreamer whispered.

Dreamer

"...That's him?"

The Writer couldn't believe it.

Writer

"Before..."

"Before everything changed."

The memory continued.

The young boy helped fallen Versions stand.

Shared food.

Laughed with them.

He carried no weapon.

Only kindness.

The Dreamer stood frozen.

Dreamer

"He wasn't born angry."

The Writer slowly shook his head.

Writer

"No..."

"He wasn't."

The memory suddenly froze.

The smiling boy looked directly toward them.

Impossible.

He shouldn't have been able to see them.

Yet...

He smiled.

Then the memory shattered like glass.

The library shook violently.

Books began falling from the shelves.

The mysterious book slammed shut by itself.

On its cover...

New words appeared.

CHAPTER ONE COMPLETE

The Dreamer looked toward the Writer.

Dreamer

"So..."

"Nemesis wasn't always Nemesis."

The Writer quietly answered.

Writer

"No."

He looked at the sealed book.

Writer

"He used to have another name."

The Dreamer stared.

Dreamer

"What was it?"

The Writer slowly closed the book.

Writer

"I don't know."

Far away...

In an unknown place...

Nemesis stood alone upon a cliff.

The wind carried the ashes of the First War.

He looked toward the stars.

Without turning around, he whispered...

Nemesis

"They've started looking..."

He closed his eyes.

Nemesis

"I hope..."

"...they're ready for the truth."

The screen slowly faded to black.
