Frightened Heather whose first thought was to run inside, immediately paused, turns around and began walking towards the gate. From the way she walked it was quite obvious, she wasn't in her right frame of mind.
She continues till she finally came out the compound, where she was headed she didn't know, all she knew was that she had to be somewhere and she can't seem to stop herself.
And soon enough she found herself at the beach, a place she never thought of re-visiting.
Heather stood still for a minute still as someone possessed by some spirits and immediately what seem to have brought her to the beach began to wear off starting from her hair as it went back to its normal state followed by her eyes, the strange glow seemed to have stopped
Shocked as to how she was back at the beach Heather began to tremble in fear the last thing she remembered was her trying to escape from the unknown and how she arrived at the beach, she didn't know.
She turned around and began to run back home and when she finally got there she located her room and joined Marie was still deep in her sleep and at first Heather was afraid to shut her eyes for she was still afraid of what had happened but eventually she gave in.
T'was morning already Heather was still fast asleep which was well expected for someone who had a rough night.
"Wakey wakey sleepy head" Marie sprinkled water on heather who was sleeping peacefully on the bed.
She woke up in an unusual shock with a furious rage "yeah it's so normal to do! Heather Burst, it appears that even while she was on the bed sleeping peacefully she was having nightmares
"You okay"? Marie noticing the serious look on heather, went and sat close to her on the bed ....
"Of course I am, why won't I be" Heather took a deep breath and and exhaled
"You're sweating"
"Or maybe is the water you threw at me" Heather fell back to the softness of the soft mattress.
"You know you can tell me anything though, right"?
"Marie I promise that if there's anything bugging me you'll be the first person I'll meet okay..."?
"Okay, still haven't explained the sweating part though" Marie let out a weird smile
"And again for the second time , you threw water on me, remembered"?
"No I sprinkled which by the way it barely net your face
"Oh My goodness you're a case" Heather who was growing tired of the whole Marie drama immediately dashed into the bathroom where she spent about 20mins bathing. she came out wrapped in a purple towel walked next to the dressing mirror and as she sat ready for makeover, Marie was already behind her with a brush as she gently started brushing her hair both sides.
Heather was indeed an epitome of beauty with her dark hair matching the color of her eyes one would say she was the prettiest greywood has to offer.
"Done " Marie dropped the brush on the dressing table and immediately took her luggages out of the room
"Someone's in a hurry I see"
"Whiiiiiiiii! Marie screamed outside the room so loud that Heather could hear her voice echoing loudly in the room.
Heather quickly joined Marie in the living room after dressing up....she didn't do much of a dressup as she wore a blue Simple design Jean a white t-shirt and a black jacket
Heather scanned around hoping to meet see Marie in the living room but Her drum roll on the dinner table caught her Attention...
"Breakfast is ready " Marrie screamed out in Joy raising above her head, a spatula.
Marrie was never the cooking type which made heather both confused and shocked.
She paused.
"Marrie?"
There was no answer.
Curious, Heather walked toward the dining room, her eyes widening when she saw Marrie standing beside the table.
Breakfast was already laid out. scrambled eggs, buttered toast, sliced fruit, and two steaming cups of tea.
Heather stared at the table, then at Marrie.
"You cooked?"
Marrie glanced over her shoulder, looking almost embarrassed. "It's just breakfast."
Heather slowly walked closer, still in disbelief.
"Since when do you cook?"
Marrie rolled her eyes. "Since this morning, apparently."
Heather laughed softly as she pulled out a chair. "I honestly thought I'd wake up one day and find you had hired someone to make your breakfast."
"Very funny," Marrie replied, sitting down. "Now eat. We don't want to be late for college."
Heather picked up a piece of toast, still wearing a surprised smile.
"This,"she said, looking at Marrie, "I have to remember."
Heather ate all in her plate, although she hesitated before taking the first bite but after that, it went out real quick and when they were done Marie cleared the dinner table quickly, did some dish washing while Heather sat there, a smile on her face as she reminisces on how Marie's mum would always teased Marrie
"try and be more like your cousin and maybe then things would be more easy for me , she would always say
"Ready"?
Heather snapped back to reality took her luggage as she existed the house with Marie right behind her , they both walked out of the compound
"Now what" Marie with an impatient tone
"Well now ,we wait. mum should be on her way now" heather assured Marie
They waited outside as the morning glory shines upon for about 10-15 minutes and then suddenly a car could be sighted coming their way
"Oh she's here, told you" Heather said
"I guess it should be her if indeed Sha has bought herself a Chevrolet Tahoe ppv
Heather was surprise to see greywood's sheriff pulling up right next to them.
He came out out and address the girls
"Morning girls, from the look of things I guess I'm your ride for today
"What"? Heather
"Your mum's instructions was that I take you girls to the airport, you know for your big day ....
"And where's she" Marie added
"Teens and their unending questions " the mayor blurted out loud, loud enough for both girls to hear
"Well she promise to be at the airport her shift seems to be delaying her, so that's why I'm here to drop you girls off...and hopefully before your flight takes off she would be there.
"If indeed you know your mum well enough, you would also know that she wouldn't miss the opportunity to say goodbye to her girls
"Okay" Marie immediately took her luggage and went on and careful placed it on the boot she Also took that of Heather,s and also kept them Marie sat at the passenger seats while Heather sat at the back as they drove off
On their way to the airport the weather was immediately getting cloudy which was the opposite of what the weather forecast forecasted on the TV news
"Dark cloud huh "? That's strange Marie said as she looked up from inside the car
"Greywood forecast are the best...indeed we lack everything " Marie in sarcasm
Meanwhile Heather was getting worried at the back seat in her head she suspected that there's more to it than just a mere dark cloud, especially since the mystery that happened last night.
The Sherrif was was unconcerned with the whole weather thing was even now more focused on his driving.
While still on the car Heather's phone rang she picked up and it was her mum
"Hey hon...I know I must have kept you girls waiting....I promise to be there in 5 minutes she said.
"That's okay we're not even at the airport yet"
"Airport"? Anna sounded in confusion
"Yeah, didn't you tell the sheriff to take us to the airport"?
"No I never did and beside he's here with me"
