Without another thought, Theo slowly stepped towards the entrance.
Feng followed closely behind him, its hooves sinking slightly into the sand.
The closer Theo got, the more details he began noticing.
'Whoa…' he thought. 'These must've been some fine pieces of art.'
He came to a halt, glancing up and around.
Entire sections had crumbled away, while others were clearly destroyed on purpose from the deep weapon marks left behind.
Even that which hadn't been hit had weathered down a lot after thousands of years without care.
Theo narrowed his eyes.
''Can you make much of this?'' he asked.
Feng shook its head lightly.
That only made Theo squint his eyes further.
He could make out figures left and right.
Some resembled beasts he'd never seen before, while others looked like the half-human people he'd seen before.
But none of the engravings were complete enough for him to understand what they were supposed to depict.
''What a waste,'' he muttered, shaking his head.
