Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – First Encounter with the Fallen

"What exactly is causing this energy fluctuation?"

Shuiyue looked in the direction from which the battle was taking place, and then she saw a scene that shocked her.

Not far ahead, two powerful Soul Masters were locked in a fierce battle.

The man was about forty or fifty years old, surrounded by flames. Part of his body had transformed into a dragon, covered in crimson dragon scales. His magnificent gold and red clothing was stretched taut by his bulging muscles, giving him a rather heroic air.

The other person was shrouded in black mist, obscuring their appearance. It seemed as if vengeful spirits were howling within the black mist, sending chills down one's spine.

At the same time, the two fighting also discovered the group from Tianshui Academy.

Upon seeing Shui Yue Ruo in the crowd, the middle-aged man covered in crimson dragon scales was overjoyed and immediately shouted to her, "Dean Shui Yue Ruo, come quickly and help me! This person is a Fallen One!"

"What, Fallen Ones!"

Upon hearing this, Shuiyue's expression immediately turned serious.

Shui Wuhen also looked towards the figure shrouded in black mist.

The Fallen Ones—that's not a good word on this continent.

He was referring to those madmen who disregarded everything, even life itself, and abandoned their humanity in order to improve their cultivation and personal gain.

After realizing the seriousness of the situation, Shui Yue Ruo dared not delay. She immediately activated her martial spirit and rushed forward, saying, "Dean Huo Yang Yan, don't panic, I'm here to help you!"

Shui Yue Ruo's martial soul is named Moon in the Water, which has a strong illusionary effect, making her a control-type soul master.

With the help of Shui Yue Ruo, a peak level 79 Soul Saint, the situation on the scene instantly reversed. The Fallen One was suppressed by Shui Yue Ruo and Huo Yang Yan, and his original advantage disappeared.

Seeing that the situation was under control, Huo Yangyan immediately pointed in a direction and shouted to Shui Wuhen and the others, "Quick, go help my students! They are not far ahead on the main road, and there is more than one Fallen One."

Upon hearing this, Shui Wuhen and the others nodded and quickly ran forward.

Shui Wuhen was the fastest and soon heard the sounds of battle coming from ahead. After glancing back at Shui Bing'er and the others, who were already far enough away from the Fallen One and out of danger, Shui Wuhen's speed increased again, and he ran towards the direction from which the sound came.

A few breaths later, a haphazard convoy appeared before Shui Wuhen's eyes.

Around the convoy, about seven or eight students dressed in red and gold uniforms stood back to back in a circle, protecting the two support-type Soul Masters as they struggled to defend against the two two-meter-tall giant wolves emanating ominous black aura.

Among these people, two stood out. One was a man in his early twenties, whose crimson dragon scales clearly indicated a connection to the previous Dean Huo Yangyan.

The other was a tall, slender beauty with long, dark red, wavy hair, around eighteen or nineteen years old. Behind her, an orange-red fire shadow appeared that was extremely similar to hers. The shadow seemed real yet illusory, but it was full of fire elemental properties.

Upon seeing Shui Wuhen and the others arrive, the red-scaled man immediately said, "Friend, be careful! These two giant black wolves are transformed from fallen beings, and each of them possesses the strength of a Soul King!"

However, the red-scaled man was clearly a little too late. The moment he opened his mouth, a giant wolf exuding an ominous black aura shot off in the opposite direction like an arrow, its target being Shui Wuhen!

Shui Wuhen flipped his hand, and an ice-blue longsword appeared in his hand, its blade gleaming with a cold light.

Frost Slash - Three Instant Slashes!

In an instant, three dazzling blade lights appeared, simultaneously piercing through the giant wolf emanating black energy from three directions.

"How could this be? I... I actually..."

The giant wolf was shocked the moment the blade flashed. He was a Soul King, how could he be instantly killed by a student!

The next moment, his consciousness plunged into darkness, and his body disintegrated into several pieces, falling to the ground.

After his death, his remains transformed back into human form, but instead of the expected splatter of blood, frost appeared on all his severed surfaces, freezing the blood.

Silence, deathly silence!

Everyone present, whether they were the students who were putting up a difficult fight or the remaining giant wolf that exuded an ominous black aura, stared blankly in the direction of Shui Wuhen.

He's dead. A Soul King-level fighter, the leader of a small faction, and a pillar of a large faction, died so easily!

He died at the hands of a boy who looked only sixteen or seventeen years old!

However, Shui Wuhen's attack was not over yet. Five spirit rings, two yellow, two purple, and one black, appeared around him. As the third spirit ring lit up, Shui Wuhen's figure disappeared from the spot almost instantly.

"not good!"

The next instant, the black giant wolf suddenly felt a bone-chilling cold and quickly changed direction, trying to escape.

However, it was too late. Shui Wuhen appeared in front of him and swung his sword!

Three dazzling blade lights appeared in the black giant wolf's eyes, as natural as a scene from nature, perfectly formed, serene and exquisitely beautiful.

Shui Wuhen's ice-blue longsword vanished, and he strolled leisurely towards the group, past the giant black wolf.

Behind him, the giant black wolf slid down slowly, making a crackling sound, as if a key part of a building block had been removed.

At this moment, Shui Bing'er and the other women also arrived at the battlefield. They looked at the fallen giant wolf corpse with astonishment.

That solves the problem; they haven't even made a move yet!

"Are you... alright?"

Shui Wuhen walked up to the red-scaled man and the red-haired, wavy-haired beauty, and asked them a question.

The man with the crimson scales dispelled his martial spirit possession, transforming into an ordinary-looking man. He said to Shui Wuhen, "It's nothing, thank you for your concern. My name is Huo Wushuang, may I ask how you are addressed?"

"Water leaves no trace!"

Shui Wuhen replied succinctly.

Upon hearing this name, the red-haired, wavy-haired woman beside Huo Wushuang's eyes flashed, and she looked at Shui Wuhen with a scrutinizing expression, hinting at hostility as she said:

"You are Shui Wuhen?"

Shui Wuhen glanced at the red-haired, wavy-haired lady, wondering why she was hostile towards him.

Huo Wushuang pulled her behind him with a helpless expression, pointing to his head apologetically, "I'm sorry, my younger sister Huo Wu is a little mentally unstable. Please don't take offense, Brother Wuhen."

As he spoke, Huo Wushuang patted Huo Wu behind him and urged, "Hurry up and thank Brother Wuhen. If Brother Wuhen hadn't arrived in time, we don't know what would have happened to us. Do you want people to say that we are ungrateful people?"

Upon hearing this, Huo Wu snapped out of her daze, the hostility in her eyes vanishing instantly. She took out a purple crystal card from her storage soul tool and bowed to Shui Wuhen, saying, "I'm sorry, I apologize for my previous attitude. This is all the gold soul coins I have on me. It's not much, but please accept my apology!"

"No problem."

Shui Wuhen did not accept Huo Wu's card. He was just curious about where Huo Wu's hostility came from, since they had never met before.
