Chapter 6 - 6- Real Movie

Ruby laughed loudly while holding her drink. It was her wedding reception. Her dream of having a lavish wedding came true. This time, she was considering herself a winner because now she had a wealthy husband by her side.

Sienna's eyes were glued to the couple who were having their first dance on the dance floor.

She jumped a little when a palm appeared in front of her eyes, "How about a dance with my wife?" Hunter was asking her with his face tilted to the side.

"Sure," Sienna held his hand and stood up. Thankfully, no one made much issue about her quick wedding with Hunter. Maybe because Ruby was too happy about her changed fate.

"What are you thinking?" Hunter asked, holding her close as they moved together.

I'm waiting for my father's next act, Hunter.

She told him in her head and then smiled, "Nothing. I was just trying to remember if I'm leaving behind something."

She had packed her suitcase and was ready to move in with Hunter. No matter how small his house would be, she didn't want to divert her mind from her real purpose.

Hunter seemed to be satisfied with her answer because he didn't drill her with any more questions.

She was planning to apply for jobs, preferably in Tom's company, so that she could stay close to him.

Knowing about his business plans could make things easier for her.

After the dance, she was about to go back to her seat when her father stopped her, "Sienna. How about a dance with your father?"

My father?

You are not a father but a monster, Papa.

With a slight nod of her head, she went back to the dance floor, hooking her arm through his, "Tonight you'll leave our home forever, child. We always tried our best to treat you the same way we treated Ruby."

Sienna wanted to roll her eyes, "Hmm."

"So…" An uncertain smile crossed his lips, "What about the property file, love? Where is it? If you give it to me, then in exchange, I'm planning to give you another property that is more valuable and profitable. It will be your wedding gift."

No, father. Let's see what tricks you have up your sleeve first.

"Papa. I don't want another property. I just want your love," She said innocently and even squeezed one or two drops of tears out of her eyes. Before he could say anything, she stopped dancing and hugged him tight.

George Mason froze in shock.

"You're the best father in this world," She said, wiping her eyes. George Mason nodded and tried to smile.

Sienna knew what he was about to do, and this time she was ready for it.

In her previous life, George Mason left the wedding reception, maybe to talk to some friend who was right outside, just to drop a wedding gift. And then he got into a false accident that severely injured his left leg.

She was patiently waiting for the moment. She sat beside her husband, who offered her a salad bowl. While eating, she kept waiting for the drama to unfold.

As expected, her mother's screams reached her ears, "Sienna. Ruby. Your dad. Oh my God!"

Everyone ran to the exit door to see what had happened, but Sienna remained seated.

"Your father…" Hunter frowned above his dark shades, "He is hurt."

"Oh… I… I can't believe it… let's… let's go…" Her body shivered, giving Hunter the impression that she was in denial.

His arm was around her at once for support.

Later, when they reached the hospital, the doctors had taken their father into the surgery room.

Dr. Grayson, who was her father's best friend, was also involved in this drama.

"Don't worry," He gently tapped Ruby's head, who was crying hysterically, "He will be alright."

Sienna was waiting for the call from Lina, who preferred to stay at home tonight instead of attending the wedding reception.

"Dr. Greyson?" A nurse approached him, "You have a call from home. Your daughter has been missing since this morning."

"What!" Dr. Greyson's face went pale, "Why didn't my family contact me?" He quickly walked down the corridor.

"Don't worry. I'll handle this case," A young doctor smiled at Ruby, "Due to loss of blood, it's getting hard, but we are trying to stop the poison from spreading into his body."

"Poison?" Mrs. Mason screamed, "What do you mean?"

"The heavy truck that ran over him belonged to a chemical company and had some deadly chemical on its tires, too. George Mason's life is in danger, Mrs. Mason."

But Sienna knew better.

Her mother pretended to cry, hiding her face behind her palms while Ruby was consoling her. As expected, Tom was not there while Hunter was standing by her side.

In her last life, Hunter hardly gave any appearances beside Ruby, so Sienna didn't know why he was here tonight.

Well! This was not the time to dwell on it.

"Doctor!" Sienna hurriedly went after the young doctor who was about to vanish inside the operating theater. He stopped and shot a questioning gaze at Sienna.

Something snapped within her as tears started flowing down her face naturally, "If… if my father's life is in danger because of that leg …" she sobbed, "Then just…" She leaned towards the doctor as her voice dropped to a whisper. The doctor also moved ahead to listen better, "Chop… chop it off…" The doctor's eyes went wide as he looked behind her.

The patient's wife and his other daughter were too busy crying.

"Don't worry. I'm… I'm the eldest daughter of George Mason and I… I give you my consent to chop it … just…" She held his hands gently, "Just save my father, doctor."

The young doctor whose name was Jake pursed his lips and patted her hands before freeing them from her grip.

"The consent form is available at the reception. Go and sign it, Miss."

Trying to hide the victorious smile on her face, she went to the reception and signed the papers.

You want my property file, my dear Papa. You'll get the file— and I'll make sure that I chop off every part of your body.

This is just a trailer, Papa. The real movie hasn't even started yet.
