[marvel]: Great, I'm about to start my miserable student life again.
[marvel] @ [resident evil]: Take the Black Panther Suit and see if you can reverse-engineer the Nanotechnology. I'm not sure what the Panther God's intention is; could it be an investment?
[marvel] posted a [Black Panther Suit] Red Envelope.
[resident evil]: Alright, once I've thoroughly researched it, everyone gets a nano-suit. However, the material will have to be an alloy; don't even think about vibranium.
[the talos principle]: That's right, vibranium is a rare metal exclusive to the marvel world. At most, I can create an alloy with similar properties. I have to say, Wakanda is truly impressive; even in my future world, we haven't fully mastered Nanotechnology, yet they can already manufacture nano-suits for combat.
[dark souls iii]: And yet their way of fighting is brawling, using vibranium spears for close-quarters combat while claiming firearms are primitive.
[marvel]:... [marvel]: Forget it, I'm off to study, whether it's for others or for myself.
[dark souls iii]: That's good. Studying is so much fun; I love studying the most. Studying is good for physical and mental health, and it's good for increasing your IQ.
[marvel]:...Heh, easy for you to say. You don't have to study; you just have to hack people to get stronger.
[dark souls iii]: How can you slander my innocence out of thin air? Hack people to get stronger? I have to learn magic too! What do you know about the matters of sorcery?
[dark souls iii]: As for being a 'Nine Intelligence' warrior... that hasn't existed for a long time!
[elden ring]: Speaking of magic, I've obtained the meteorite staff and the Rock Sling spell. That hellhole Caelid is disgusting; I almost died there.
[Genshin Impact]: Whoa, impressive! You actually managed to escape from the Lake of Rot. Now that you have that early-game mage artifact, your journey ahead will be much easier.
[elden ring]: You have no idea how disgusting the Sellia Crystal Tunnel is. Those bugs inside made me lose my sanity. Luckily, I hid well enough, or I definitely would've been spotted.
[elden ring]: I've returned to Limgrave now and won't be running around aimlessly. I plan to go to Stormhill first to find Little Red. Once I get the Spirit Ashes of Clarina the Jellyfish, I'll go to Bernahl the Warmaster to learn some Ash of War skills.
[elden ring]: I really don't want to push the main quest until I've grabbed all the early-game benefits.
[dark souls iii]: +1. I plan to go to the cell beneath the High Wall of Lothric to save the thief, and while I'm at it, find the Darkwraith. I've been eyeing his Dark Hand for a long time. Not only that, I've wanted the Darksword +22 for ages too.
[elden ring]: Just call it the Darksword; what's with the 'Darksword +22'? Don't use obscure memes.
[dark souls iii]: I'll do as I please. Anyway, reality isn't a game. In the game, you need a key to open the cell; in reality, I'll just barge in. Let's see who dares stop me—I'll cleave them in half with one swing.
[elden ring]:...Good luck with that.
elden ring World, Gatefront.
After his usual chat session, Tarnished Xia Yu stood up from the site of grace.
He was no longer the same as before because he had obtained the best early-game staff: the meteorite staff!
This was a staff embedded with a deep purple glintstone at its tip. The glintstone was a fragment of a meteorite, providing a high boost to sorceries and specifically strengthening gravity magic.
Although this staff could not be upgraded, for an early-game mage, it was an absolute god-tier artifact.
Xia Yu, who aspired to be a true mage, was actually quite disdainful of a staff that offered no melee bonuses. A true mage should carry a mace-like staff and smash enemies to death.
However, his current physical constitution was simply not up to the task, so he could only use this staff with tears in his eyes. As for any 'it's actually great' feelings... they didn't exist.
Xia Yu casually swung a Rock Sling imbued with purple gravity, smashing a patrolling soldier to death. A stream of pale gold Runes immediately drifted out of the soldier's body and merged into his own.
No 'it's actually great.' He said he wouldn't say it, so he absolutely wouldn't!
*Whistle—*
With a whistle, Xia Yu summoned Torrent from the spectral steed whistle, leaped onto his back, and headed toward Stormhill.
Stormhill lived up to its name, with never-ending storms blowing through. It was said that Stormveil Castle was once ruled by the Storm Lord, but the Storm Lord was defeated and banished by the first Elden Lord, Godfrey. Thus, the current ruler was Godfrey's descendant, Godrick.
Although the ruler had changed, the storms had not ceased, still raging across this land.
Xia Yu rode Torrent across the terrain of Stormhill, occasionally clashing with Godrick's soldiers. Since his strength was no longer what it used to be, those soldiers could not effectively hinder him.
Even a Troll, after being hit in the head by a few of his Rock Slings, would die in resentment. While the Rock Slings buffed by gravity magic weren't as powerful as true meteorites, they were enough to dominate the early game.
Even in the late game, the Rock Sling sorcery would not become obsolete; it would remain one of the most useful spells in a mage's arsenal.
A moment later, while traversing Stormhill, Xia Yu found a shack on the hill plains—a dilapidated little wooden hut from which the sound of low sobbing could be heard.
The sobbing dissipated into the air with the fierce wind, but Xia Yu, with his excellent hearing, still caught the sound. However, even if he hadn't heard anything, he wouldn't have ignored this shack.
Inside the house was a crucial character. Although she hadn't discovered her own talent yet, in the late game, she would be just as important as the blacksmith.
Furthermore, her ending was one of the rare good endings in the game—she didn't die. In Miyazaki's games, as long as you don't die, it counts as a good ending.
Probably... Xia Yu patted Torrent, letting him turn into spiritual smoke and return to the whistle. He then tidied his appearance, but as soon as he finished, the storm blew it into a mess again.
"Tch..."
Brushing his hair back haphazardly, Xia Yu stopped caring about his appearance and strode into the shack.
In the corner of the shack, a young woman wearing a red hooded shawl was sobbing quietly. She looked to be in her early twenties, with shoulder-length wavy blonde hair and a delicate face. At this moment, she sat slumped on the ground, completely defenseless.
"Tsk tsk, it's a good thing you met me. If you'd met someone else, they might have gone soft and let you off the hook."
Xia Yu spoke these rather ominous words as he sat down boldly beside the girl, pulling a bottle of wine from his lower back at the same time.
"Want a drink? It's not top-shelf stuff, but it's good for warming the body."
"...?"
The sobbing paused. The girl raised her slightly reddened eyes and glanced at the Tarnished beside her. Though she didn't know why he had suddenly struck up a conversation, he seemed like someone she could confide in.
"Everyone was grafted... those who came with me to The Lands Between and fought for me... do you know? After being grafted onto a spider..."
"Stop, stop, stop!"
Xia Yu suddenly interrupted the girl's story, and she looked at him with a confused gaze.
"Why are you just talking to yourself? We don't even know each other yet. Can we follow the proper order? For example, my name is Xia Yu. What's yours?"
"Uh... sorry. I... my name is Rodrika."
Rodrika's words were somewhat hesitant. Xia Yu's refusal to follow the script had broken her gathered emotions, and now she didn't know whether she should continue pouring out her misfortunes.
