Chapter 224 - Chapter 224: Son Goku VS Champa

"It's really too smelly... My nose has always been very sensitive, I truly can't stand this smell." Son Goku scratched his head, his face full of difficulty. After saying that, without waiting for Champa to speak again, Goku quickly activated his energy and flew away from the spot.

Seeing that Goku actually dared to ignore his command and fly away, Champa's face instantly turned even blacker.

Swish!

Champa's figure flashed, instantly giving chase at extreme speed.

Slap!

Champa appeared directly in front of Goku, blocking his path. By this time, Goku had flown a certain distance. At this position, although a faint stench could still be smelled, it was no longer obvious, and he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Lord Champa, is there something else?" Goku scratched his head and asked innocently, not understanding why Champa was blocking him.

"Kid, that 'borrowed knife to kill' trick of yours was quite good," Champa said, narrowing his eyes at Goku, his tone full of mockery and his gaze carrying a hint of scrutiny.

"Eh? Borrowed knife to kill?" Goku was slightly stunned, his face full of confusion, clearly not understanding Champa's words.

"I hit the mark, didn't I?" Champa snorted, his tone becoming even colder.

"Piccolo, do you know what 'borrowed knife to kill' means?" Goku turned to look at Piccolo, who had caught up, asking blankly, hoping Piccolo could explain it to him.

Champa's mouth twitched violently, and he almost fell over. Is this kid playing dumb with me? He clearly did it on purpose, yet he's acting like he doesn't understand anything!

"Borrowed knife to kill means... not stepping forward yourself, but using someone else's power to deal with your enemy. This way, you achieve your goal without having to take responsibility yourself," Piccolo explained helplessly, his tone full of amusement and frustration, trying his best to use simple language for Goku.

Champa: "..."

Are you really giving him a detailed explanation? This kid is just playing dumb!

"Kid, do you understand the meaning of that phrase now?" Champa looked at Goku with a cold face, his gaze full of disdain. "Bringing that guy named Moro to me was just to use my hand to get rid of him. Did you think your little scheme could hide from the eyes of a God of Destruction?"

"Well... actually, it wasn't my idea, it was Cabba's," Goku answered truthfully, without any concealment. "My original thought was similar to Hit's: find an uninhabited planet and deal with him ourselves. That way, it's simple and doesn't trouble anyone else."

"Hit? Is what he's saying true? This had nothing to do with him?" Champa turned to look at Hit, his tone carrying a bit of expectation. Champa was hoping Hit would back him up so he could find an excuse to deal with Goku.

"Yes, Lord Champa," Hit nodded and answered truthfully. "This was indeed Cabba's idea. He originally wanted to pilot the spaceship to lead Moro here, but the ship broke down halfway and couldn't continue flying. In the end, Son Goku used Instant Transmission to bring us here; he was just helping."

Champa: "..."

Champa's face turned black again. Are you missing a gear in your head? You're from Universe 6, yet you're speaking for someone from Universe 7! I was looking for a reason to fix Goku, and now you've exposed the reason. How am I supposed to move?

"Since it's a misunderstanding, then forget it. I'm not a petty person," Champa feigned generosity, giving a light smile and waving his hand dismissively. "It seems I blamed you wrongly, Son Goku."

"Hahaha, it's good the misunderstanding is cleared. I thought you were going to settle a score with me," Goku said with a sigh of relief. "Then I'll stay a bit further away. The smell here is just too strong. If I stay any longer, I'm afraid I won't be able to stop myself from vomiting."

With that, Goku lightly kicked off the ground, taking to the air to fly toward an open area in the distance.

"Ah... my Prophecy Grass!" Champa suddenly cried out, his voice full of grief. He then shot out like an arrow from a bow, instantly appearing at the spot Goku had just stepped on, crouching on the ground and looking at the earth in despair.

Goku was stunned, looking at Champa in bewilderment, not understanding why he was suddenly so agitated.

"Prophecy Grass! My Prophecy Grass! How could you be gone like this? Wake up, you mustn't die!" Champa wailed over an inconspicuous little weed on the ground, his voice shrill. However, Champa didn't shed a single tear; his acting was so poor it was hard to watch.

Goku: "..."

Piccolo silently wiped his sweat from the side. Lord God of Destruction, if you want to spar with Goku, just say so. Why put on such a show? With Goku's personality, as long as you ask, he'd be more than happy to fight you. Why go through all this trouble?

"Lord Champa, what is Prophecy Grass?" Goku landed on the ground with a look of confusion and approached Champa, asking curiously.

"You, you, you... kid, you're in big trouble!" Champa suddenly looked up, pointing a finger at Goku, his tone full of anger as if he had suffered a great injustice.

"What's wrong? I just stepped on a piece of grass, didn't I?" Goku was even more confused, scratching his head and asking in bewilderment.

"What you stepped on wasn't ordinary grass! This is Prophecy Grass I've nurtured for hundreds of millions of years!" Champa said with a black face and an angry voice. "You should know about the Prophecy Fish from your Universe 7, right? The kind that can predict the future!"

"I know, I've seen it," Goku nodded, finally understanding what Prophecy Grass was.

"My Prophecy Grass has the same effect as the Prophecy Fish; it can predict future events. And my Prophecy Grass was just about to start talking, but you stepped on it and killed it! What are you going to do about it?" Champa snorted, grinding his teeth in rage. Is the reason sufficient enough this time? Let's see you dodge now!

Actually, Champa had wanted to fight Goku from the start, but Goku had been too friendly—he hadn't provoked or offended him. Attacking directly would not only make him look unrefined but might also lead to Beerus coming to settle the score. If Beerus knew he had hit Goku for no reason, he would definitely never hear the end of it. So, Champa had to find a reasonable excuse to fix Goku openly while leaving Beerus with nothing to say. And he could have a satisfying fight.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I really didn't do it on purpose. I didn't see any grass here," Goku quickly apologized and even gave the little weed a deep bow. "This is easy to fix. Once I find the Dragon Balls, I'll use them to revive it. After it's revived, I'll apologize to it properly and make sure it forgives me!"

Champa: "..."

His face instantly turned green. How does this kid not play by the rules? Actually wanting to use the Dragon Balls to revive it! This way, the reason I found is useless again. How am I supposed to fix him?

"You stepped on my Prophecy Grass and killed it, and you think using the Dragon Balls to revive it can offset your fault?" Champa asked with a cold face, his tone full of dissatisfaction. "It's like if I beat you to death and then use the Dragon Balls to revive you—would you be willing? Can that offset the sin of me killing you?"

"That seems to make some sense. Then what should I do?" Goku scratched his head, looking troubled, truly feeling he had done wrong and wanting to make amends.

"It's simple. Let me give you a fixing, consider it avenging my Prophecy Grass. That way, we're even. How about it?" Champa snorted, a triumphant smile appearing on his face. You can't refuse this time, can you?

"Eh? It's actually that simple? Then go ahead and hit me, I won't resist." Goku let out a long sigh of relief, the trouble on his face instantly vanishing. Goku thought Champa would ask him to do something much harder; he didn't expect it was just to take a beating. To Goku, this little thing was nothing at all. Originally, Goku had been blaming himself for stepping on the Prophecy Grass, worried he couldn't make amends. Now it was fine; as long as he took a beating, it would be resolved. It was just too easy.

"I apologize again for my actions just now. I'm sorry, Prophecy Grass." Goku bowed to the little weed again, his attitude sincere.

Looking at Goku's sincere manner, Champa suddenly felt a bit embarrassed. He was clearly looking for an excuse to fight him, yet Goku was taking it so seriously. If he really hit him, wouldn't it be a bit much?

"Uh... you can't not resist, you have to fight back," Champa said quickly. "Only if you fight back will I feel a sense of accomplishment. Otherwise, what's the difference between me and hitting a sandbag?"

"Eh? I have to fight back too?" Goku was stunned, scratching his head. "Aren't you avenging the Prophecy Grass? If I fight back, wouldn't I be going against you? Is that appropriate?"

"Uh... this is what the soul of the Prophecy Grass just told me. It said only if you fight back can it vent its anger and forgive you." Champa thought quickly and made up an excuse, his face showing a sincere expression as if he had truly heard the Prophecy Grass's heart.

"Is that so? Then I won't be polite!" Goku's eyes instantly flashed with excitement, he rubbed his hands, and his battle intent was instantly ignited. Goku had wanted to spar with Champa for a long time; he just never had the chance. Now that there was such a good opportunity, how could Goku let it pass?

"That's the spirit! That's exactly what I mean!" Champa laughed, he was so happy he was almost bursting. He quickly added, "Just consider it a spar between us. Don't have any psychological burden. Even if you injure me, I won't blame you."

"A spar? Great! I've wanted to spar with Lord Champa for a long time!" Goku nodded excitedly and cast a grateful look at the little weed. Thank you, Prophecy Grass. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have the chance to spar with Lord Champa!

"Come, come over here, attack me with all your strength, just like how Moro attacked me earlier. Don't show any mercy!" Champa beckoned to Goku, his smile growing more brilliant, his body leaning forward slightly as he prepared for battle.

"Attack with all my strength?" Goku was slightly stunned and shook his head somewhat embarrassedly. "That's not very appropriate, is it? If I accidentally hurt you, Lord Beerus will definitely blame me."

"You say you can hurt me? That's hilarious! Are all you people from Universe 7 so confident?" Champa was instantly interested, a cheeky expression on his face and his tone full of provocation. "I'd like to see if you can even make me move!"

"Actually... I'm really strong, you should be prepared," Goku said seriously. He didn't want Champa to let his guard down because of his strength.

"Oh? Is that so? That's great! I love fighting strong opponents!" Champa's eyes shone with excitement, and a faint aura of Destruction energy began to emanate from his body; he was clearly getting serious.

"Since you say so, then I won't be polite!" Goku stretched his muscles, his joints making a click-clack sound, and the aura around him began to gradually rise.

Hit: "..."

Hit silently wiped his sweat from the side. Son Goku, oh Son Goku, aren't you too confident? You're strong, but Lord Champa is a God of Destruction who masters the power of Destruction. How could you possibly defeat him? Even if you've grown stronger in this life, you can't be a match for a God of Destruction. You're asking for trouble!

"Let's go to that open area over there to fight. The smell here is just too pungent, it'll affect the performance." Goku pointed to an open area in the distance where there were no obstacles, very suitable for fighting.

"Fine, I'll grant you that request." Champa snorted and pointed to the open area. "Go there, so the aftershocks of the battle don't affect my Prophecy Grass... oh no, so they don't affect other things."

Goku, of course, would not object.

Swish!

The two instantly appeared on that open area. Hit and Piccolo followed closely, flying high into the distance to prepare to watch the battle. After landing, Goku immediately began warm-up exercises, moving his wrists and ankles, stretching his muscles, preparing for the coming fight.

Swish!

Vados also flew over from a distance, leaning on her staff, landing with a smile beside Hit and Piccolo, clearly not wanting to miss this rare battle.

"I'm ready, Lord Champa, I'm going to start!" Goku gave Champa a standard battle salute, his tone full of excitement.

"Come on, let me see your strength, don't disappoint me!" Champa nodded, the Destruction energy around him growing more intense, the air beginning to slightly distort.

Slap!

Goku no longer hesitated. The aura around him instantly exploded, his hair rapidly turning silver-white, and silver-white electric sparks circled his body. The powerful energy fluctuations spread in all directions like a hurricane, and the ground was pressed into ripples by this energy. Goku directly entered the Super Saiyan 5 form!

This vast energy made the entire Planet Champa tremble slightly. The distant mountains even began to show small cracks, and the clouds in the sky were blown away by the energy aftershocks.

When Champa felt this energy, his eyes widened, a look of disbelief on his face, his mouth slightly open, unable to speak for a long time. This energy was actually even stronger than he had imagined!

Hit's pupils shrank violently, his face instantly turning pale as he took an involuntary step back, his heart filled with shock. Is this Son Goku's new transformation? It's completely different from the Super Saiyan God and Super Blue of the previous life! How can this energy be so strong?

Vados also withdrew her smile, her eyes full of surprise as she softly remarked, "I didn't expect Mr. Son Goku to reach such a level. It's truly surprising."

Piccolo, however, stood with his arms crossed, a calm expression on his face as if he had long known this would happen. Piccolo had seen Goku transform into Super Saiyan 5 with his own eyes and was no longer surprised by this energy. This wasn't even Goku's strongest form. If he were to activate Super Saiyan 6 or 7, he wondered if Champa would be directly terrified.

"Lord Champa, I'm going to start my attack!" Goku took a fighting stance, his body leaning forward slightly like a leopard ready to pounce.

"Kid... you've actually been playing the pig to eat the tiger!" Champa's face darkened as he narrowed his eyes at Goku, his tone full of surprise and a trace of undetectable excitement. The stronger the opponent, the more it stimulated Champa's desire to fight!

"I haven't, I've just preferred fighting in my base form lately," Goku shook his head and asked seriously, "I'm really going to start, are you ready?"

"Come! Let me see how hard your fists are!" Champa's expression became incredibly serious.

Whoosh!

Goku kicked off the ground, instantly cracking a large crater. His body shot toward Champa like a bolt of lightning. Simultaneously, he condensed all his power and threw a punch at Champa's chest, his fist wrapped in silver-white energy with a sharp sound of tearing air.

Seeing Goku's swift attack, Champa didn't dare be careless. He raised his right hand, condensing Destruction energy, preparing to take the punch head-on.

Bang!

The moment the fist and palm collided, a massive force surged from Goku's fist. Champa felt an irresistible impact travel up his arm and through his entire body. He was pushed back several steps, each step leaving a deep footprint in the ground.

At this moment, Champa was completely stunned. This kid's power is actually this strong! He can actually make me retreat! And he did it with just one punch!

"He pushed back a God of Destruction with one punch!" Hit muttered to himself, his mouth twitching. The shock in his heart was beyond words. Hit finally understood that Goku's strength had far exceeded his imagination.

Piccolo remained calm. Just as I expected.

After landing the punch, Goku didn't pause. He charged again, his fists, knees, and elbows attacking in turn, each move carrying powerful energy, launching a fierce assault on Champa like a violent storm.

After the initial shock, Champa quickly adjusted his state and engaged Goku seriously.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Destruction energy and silver-white Saiyan energy collided in the air, creating a series of booms. The battle's aftershocks blasted huge craters into the surrounding ground, and the entire Planet Champa trembled violently.

After several rounds of intense clashing, Champa finally caught a opening in Goku's defense. He pulled back his right leg and kicked out fiercely, his toes wrapped in thick, pale-purple Destruction energy. The speed was so fast it left an afterimage in the air, heading straight for Goku's chest.

Goku reacted quickly, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

Bang!

A dull thud exploded. Goku took the kick head-on but was pushed back by the massive impact, his feet carving two half-meter-deep trenches in the hard ground. Debris flew, and dust filled half the sky.

"Kid, you've got some skill! To actually take a kick from me head-on, no wonder you dared to spar with me!" Champa snorted, a smile of recognition appearing on his round face as he lightly patted his pant leg. Champa had originally thought this kick would send Goku flying; he hadn't expected the opponent's defense to be so strong.

"Haha, it's alright. It's mainly because you didn't use your full strength, Lord Champa, otherwise I definitely wouldn't have held out," Goku grinned and rubbed his somewhat numb arm, his tone carrying a bit of humility.

"You are indeed strong, but compared to a God of Destruction, you're still far off!" Champa snorted coldly.

As the words fell, Champa's figure suddenly vanished, disappearing without a trace as if merging into the air, not even leaving a trace of energy fluctuation. The next second, Champa appeared behind Goku, his right hand condensing a ball of thick Destruction energy, slamming it hard toward Goku's back.

Bang!

The palm hit Goku's body squarely. Goku stumbled forward a few steps, nearly falling. Champa followed up immediately, preparing to press the advantage and deliver a decisive blow.

However, it was as if Goku had eyes in the back of his head. He suddenly turned, his right leg lifting backward and upward in a magnificent flying kick, his toes accurately striking Champa's cat-like face.

"Awooo!"

Champa let out a shrill cry, flying backward like a kite with a broken string.

Boom!

Champa slammed into the ground, carving out a deep crater ten meters in diameter. Dust shot into the sky, and even the distant rocks were shaken.

"Oh my, oh my, this is trouble. Lord Champa is definitely going to be angry now," Vados covered her face with her staff, her tone full of helplessness, but she couldn't hide the smile in her eyes. Vados had long seen that Champa didn't really want to fix Goku; he was just enjoying the fun of battle. Now that he had suffered a loss, he was likely to throw a tantrum.

"That idiot! How dare he strike a God of Destruction like that? Does he want to be completely destroyed?" Hit felt a massive headache, fine cold sweat seeping from his forehead, his hands instinctively clenching. Hit knew better than anyone how terrifying a God of Destruction's wrath was. Goku's kick was simply dancing on the edge of a blade.

"You can rest assured, he'll be fine," Piccolo smiled lightly, his tone full of certainty and his gaze carrying a bit of understanding.

"What do you mean?" Hit raised an eyebrow and turned to Piccolo, his eyes full of confusion. A God of Destruction's dignity was not to be violated; how could Goku be fine after doing that?

"You'll know soon enough," Piccolo's mouth curled into a slight arc, and he said no more, just quietly watching the direction of the crater.

Boom!

A loud explosion suddenly came from the crater. Pale-purple Destruction energy shot into the sky like a volcanic eruption. Champa floated in the air, his eyes blood-red, his fur standing on end with rage, the Destruction energy around him boiling like molten lava. The entire Planet Champa trembled slightly, and small cracks began to appear in the rocks on the ground.

"I'm sorry, Lord Champa, I didn't do it on purpose. I didn't expect you wouldn't dodge," Goku walked to the edge of the crater, leaning over to look at Champa in the air, speaking with an apologetic face and a sincere tone. Goku had indeed reacted instinctively and hadn't meant to truly hurt Champa.

"Kid, it's too late for apologies now! You'd better worry about yourself!" Champa was fuming, the purple-red aura on his body suddenly exploding. The Destruction energy became so thick it materialized, forming a massive energy shield. He had clearly used his full power, and even the surrounding air began to distort.
