Chapter 218 - Chapter 218: There Really is a Super Evil Dragon

"Piccolo, should we go check it out? They should still be on the spaceship, they haven't gone too far." Son Goku suggested, a flash of battle intent crossing his eyes. "I'll use Instant Transmission to lock onto their location right now."

Piccolo didn't hesitate, placing his hand directly on Goku's shoulder. "Alright, let's go see what this Moro guy is all about."

Goku immediately released his senses, searching the vast starry sky for Moro's evil aura.

Soon, Goku captured a familiar, unsettling ripple.

It was exactly that evil power of Moro's, mixed with life energy.

However, the instant Goku concentrated his mind to sense it.

Goku's face suddenly changed drastically. His eyes went wide, and fine beads of cold sweat even broke out on his face as his body trembled slightly.

"What's wrong? Goku, what happened?" Piccolo noticed his abnormality and hurriedly asked, his tone full of worry.

"Mr. Goku, are you alright? Did you sense some kind of danger?" Muli also leaned in nervously.

"You sensed that guy's aura? Is he strong?" As Piccolo spoke, he also wanted to release his own senses to investigate personally.

"Piccolo, don't sense it!" Goku hurriedly stopped him, his voice low. "He's already noticed I'm sensing him. This guy... is interesting."

"Interesting?" Piccolo was stunned, his face full of confusion. "What exactly did you sense? Is his Ki strong?"

"It's not a matter of whether his Ki is strong or not." Goku shook his head, his brows furrowing even tighter. "The intensity of his aura isn't actually top-tier, but I've never seen Ki this heavy, this terrifying."

"Terrifying Ki?" Piccolo still didn't understand, his eyes full of doubt.

"It's like the screams of countless people and the pain of countless lives are all concentrated in his aura. it makes you feel very suffocated." Goku explained with a solemn expression.

This kind of aura was more unsettling than any evil existence he had ever seen.

"That guy named Moro is said to be able to absorb life energy and turn it into his own power, even the energy of planets." Muli hurriedly added, his face looking even worse. "Just now, he sucked away a portion of New Namek's energy, and his appearance became a bit younger because of it!"

"So his energy is actually a collection of the countless lives he's murdered?" Piccolo understood instantly, his tone full of fury.

This method of becoming stronger by plundering life was what Piccolo despised the most.

"Just how many lives has he killed?" Goku pressed, a flash of killing intent crossing his eyes.

"I'm not sure about that... but if he really can absorb the energy of humans and planets, the number is probably astronomical." Muli's voice was low, as if he could see the scene of countless lives withering in Moro's hands.

"Forget it, no matter how many people he's killed, let's find him first!" Goku took a deep breath, suppressing the anger in his heart. "We're going over there now. We can't let him find the Super Dragon Balls."

Piccolo nodded heavily and said no more. He gripped Goku's shoulders tightly, ready for the teleportation.

...

Cabba's spaceship was soaring through the starry sky at an extremely high speed.

Outside the window was a brilliant galaxy, but the atmosphere inside the cabin was subtle.

Suddenly, Moro's relaxed body tensed up. He abruptly glanced back toward New Namek, his brows knitting tightly together as a flash of coldness crossed his eyes.

"What's wrong? Are you seasick?" Cabba noticed his abnormality and asked with feigned innocence, though he was secretly on guard.

Could this guy have noticed something?

Moro: "..."

Hit: "..."

The two were instantly speechless.

Cabba's ability to play dumb was really getting more and more proficient.

"Someone is sensing me, from the direction of Planet Namek just now." Moro said coldly, his tone full of displeasure. "It seems my decision to spare that planet just now was a mistake—not only are they ungrateful, but they even dare to probe me with their Ki!"

"Oh, maybe the Namekians were worried about us and accidentally sensed us." Cabba gave a laugh, trying to brush it off. "We've already flown this far, we can't exactly go back to settle the score, can we? Finding the Super Dragon Balls is more important."

"I see you just don't want to go back because you're afraid I'll destroy that planet." Moro gave a light smile, seeing through Cabba's thoughts in a single glance, but he didn't press further.

For Moro, finding the Super Dragon Balls to restore his magic was the most important thing right now.

Everything else could be put aside for the time being.

"Hehe, you're still the smart one, Mr. Moro." Cabba grinned with a heartless look, but in his mind, he was calculating the next step of the plan.

Whoosh!

In the gap between their words, a flash of white light suddenly appeared.

Son Goku, bringing Piccolo along, appeared instantly in the center of the cabin, coming face-to-face with Moro, Cabba, and Hit.

"Son Goku!" Hit recognized him at a glance, his tone carrying a bit of surprise.

As a reincarnator, Hit was quite familiar with Son Goku's strength.

Cabba didn't have a deep impression of Son Goku. He stared at him for a long time before having a sudden realization: "You... you're the Saiyan from Universe 7! I remember now! Your name is Son Goku, right? That name is a bit different from our Saiyan naming conventions, it's a bit strange."

"Ah... hello!" Goku smiled and nodded, admitting frankly, "This is my name on Earth. My Saiyan birth name is actually Kakarot."

"Now that sounds like a proper Saiyan name!" Cabba realized and hurriedly pressed, "By the way, is my master, Mr. Vegeta, doing well? I haven't seen him in a long time."

"Vegeta? He's doing great. He's been in seclusion training at home lately, focused entirely on increasing his strength." Goku replied with a smile.

"That's great! Once this is over, I definitely have to go to Earth to pay him a visit!" Cabba said excitedly, then turned to Piccolo and gave a polite greeting.

Piccolo nodded slightly, but his gaze remained locked on Moro, his aura gradually turning cold.

"You're Moro, right?" Goku stopped the small talk and turned his gaze to Moro, his tone becoming serious and his eyes full of scrutiny.

"You were the one sensing me just now? You've got some nerve." Moro snorted coldly, killing intent flashing in his eyes. His evil aura began to spread slowly, and the temperature in the cabin seemed to drop a few degrees.

"It was me." Goku didn't deny it, admitting it frankly. There was no fear in his eyes, only a hint of battle intent.

"You're quite direct." Moro gave a light smile, his gaze sweeping over the narrow cabin as he secretly calculated.

It wasn't suitable to fight here. If the spaceship got damaged, the plan to find the Super Dragon Balls would be delayed.

The most important thing now was to make the wish first. Once he restored his peak strength, it wouldn't be too late to deal with these nuisances.

"Are you going to look for the Super Dragon Balls?" Goku suddenly changed the subject, an excited expression appearing on his face as if he were also very interested in the Super Dragon Balls. "I'm also curious about the Super Dragon Balls. How about we go look for them together? More people means more strength."

"Of course! The more the merrier!" Cabba immediately agreed readily, afraid Moro would refuse, and even gave Goku a secret look.

"Then I'll have to trouble you." Goku said with a smile, cooperating seamlessly.

"No trouble at all. This ship is big enough anyway, two more people won't be a problem." Cabba laughed, looking indifferent, but he was secretly laughing in his heart.

Moro, oh Moro, you don't even know you've fallen into a trap.

Seeing Goku, Cabba, and Hit getting along harmoniously, Moro didn't say much.

In Moro's eyes, these people were nothing more than a bunch of jumping clowns. Once he made his wish and restored his strength, crushing them would be as easy as crushing ants.

"By the way, do you know the exact location of the Super Dragon Balls? We can't just search blindly in the universe, can we?" Goku turned to ask Cabba, intentionally acting curious.

"I know! Hit and I accidentally encountered a Super Dragon Ball while on a mission before, and I even took a photo!" Cabba replied with a smile. While speaking, he kept giving Goku looks, hinting for him not to blow their cover.

Goku realized instantly that Cabba had other intentions and hurriedly cooperated with a laugh: "That's good! Having a photo makes it much easier. Let's head out right away!"

Whoosh!

The spaceship accelerated again, the engine roaring as it left a long trail in the starry sky, flying toward the location of the Super Dragon Ball Cabba had mentioned.

Before they knew it, several hours had passed.

Moro sat in the corner of the cabin. Bored, he stretched and yawned. Feeling a bit sleepy, he stood up and walked toward the sleeping pod: "I'm going to rest for a bit. Call me when we get there."

With that, Moro walked into the sleeping pod and closed the door.

Seeing Moro leave, Hit immediately snapped his fingers. A pale blue energy instantly enveloped the area where Goku, Piccolo, and Cabba were, forming a transparent protective shield.

This way, their conversation wouldn't be heard by Moro, and it would also isolate any Ki fluctuations.

"Cabba, you aren't really planning to take this guy to find the Super Dragon Balls, are you?" Hit lowered his voice, his tone full of doubt and his eyes carrying a hint of confusion.

"Hehe, how could I!" Cabba also lowered his voice, winking at Son Goku and Piccolo. "I've already planned it out. I'm going to fly the spaceship to Lord Champa's world! I'll let Lord Champa deal with this guy!"

Hit was momentarily stunned, then had a sudden realization.

You're the ruthless one!

This was a plan to throw Moro into the fire, making him provoke a God of Destruction—it was practically forcing him onto a path to death!

"Going to Lord Champa's world, huh!" Goku also understood Cabba's intentions and couldn't help but laugh. "I thought you were really going to take him to find the Super Dragon Balls. Turns out you're planning to kill with a borrowed knife."

"Of course! We can't let him make his wish!" Cabba snorted coldly, his tone full of determination. "This guy's strength is already this high. If we let him restore his peak magic, we won't be his match at all. The entire universe would suffer!"

"Is he really that strong?" Goku asked curiously, his eyes full of battle intent.

He really did want to have a good fight with this Moro.

"Cabba's Super Saiyan God form isn't even enough to look at in front of him." Hit added, his tone carrying a bit of solemnity. "Even if Cabba turns Super Saiyan Blue, at most he could only fight him to a draw. Completely killing him is almost impossible."

"Not bad, Cabba! You can even turn Super Saiyan Blue now? You've improved so fast!" Goku marveled, his tone full of praise.

"It's all thanks to Master Vegeta's guidance that I was able to break through to this realm." Cabba mentioned Vegeta, his tone full of gratitude. "But even so, I'm still not sure I can beat Moro. His magic is too weird. He can control a planet's energy and absorb others' power. He's very hard to deal with."

"Hmph, just because you can't beat him doesn't mean I can't." Hit snorted coldly, his tone carrying a bit of confidence. "How about we find a planet to land on? I'll move now and finish him off to save us from any more trouble."

"Don't, Hit! Now isn't the time!" Cabba hurriedly shook his head, stopping him. "I think we'll have a better chance if we lure him to Lord Champa's world before moving. At least we'll have a God of Destruction as a backer. Even if we can't beat him, Lord Champa won't just sit by and watch, right?"

"Do you think Lord Champa would care about such trivial matters? He's too lazy to bother with the universe's business." Hit gave Cabba a white eye, his tone full of helplessness.

Hit knew Champa's personality too well. To get him to act, Moro would probably have to destroy all his food.

"Maybe Lord Champa won't take the initiative, but with Moro's personality, he might just provoke Lord Champa himself!" Cabba put on a wicked smile, looking more and more pleased with himself. "Think about it. Moro is so arrogant. When he sees a God of Destruction, he definitely won't be able to resist wanting to test him. When that time comes, we won't even have to lift a finger—Lord Champa will deal with him!"

Hit's mouth twitched. After thinking about it carefully, he suddenly felt that Cabba made a lot of sense.

For an arrogant guy like Moro, seeing a God of Destruction might actually lead him to provoke them.

When that time comes, he'll probably die a miserable death without even knowing how he died.

"And, I also need to report the matter of the Super Dragon Balls to Lord Champa." Cabba added, his eyes carrying a bit of worry. "By the way, I'll ask him if it's normal for a Super Dragon Ball to have a crack. I always felt that crack was a bit off."

"What's wrong with the Super Dragon Balls?" Goku was stunned and hurriedly pressed, his heart skipping a beat.

"Hit and I encountered a Super Dragon Ball in Universe 6 before. It had a very deep crack on it." Cabba explained, his tone carrying a bit of lingering fear. "But looking at it from space, the crack became very shallow, and it was emitting black gas. It looked really weird."

"A crack!" Goku's face changed drastically. His hands unconsciously clenched, and his expression became much more solemn.

Goku immediately thought of the Shadow Dragon incident from before.

"Old Son, is there a problem? It's just a crack, isn't it?" Piccolo noticed his abnormality and hurriedly asked, a hint of unease rising in his heart as well.

"Did you forget? I told you before, the Shadow Dragons back then were born because the Earth's Dragon Balls were overused and developed cracks!" Goku explained to Piccolo, his tone full of worry. "If the Super Dragon Balls have this kind of problem, the consequences will be unimaginable!"

"But didn't Mr. Whis say it before? The Super Dragon Balls won't birth Shadow Dragons like the Earth's Dragon Balls do." Piccolo gave a bitter smile, fine beads of cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.

Piccolo also hoped he was overthinking it, but Goku's words made it impossible for him to ignore.

"That's what he said, but what if?" Goku clenched his fists tightly, his eyes full of anxiety. "If the Super Dragon Balls really birth a Shadow Dragon, with its energy level, the Shadow Dragon born would probably be tens of thousands of times stronger than Syn Shenron back then, or even higher!"

"What are you guys talking about? What is a Shadow Dragon?" Cabba was completely confused, looking at Goku and Piccolo with a bewildered face. Hit also cast a curious gaze.

They had never heard the term "Shadow Dragon" before.

"As far as I know, if Dragon Balls are overused or damaged, the accumulated negative energy can condense into a Shadow Dragon." Goku said in a deep voice, his tone full of seriousness. "But Mr. Whis said the Super Dragon Balls wouldn't have this problem. I'm not sure if that's true or not now."

"That sounds terrifying!" Cabba swallowed hard and hurriedly asked, "By the way, Goku, didn't I take a photo of the Super Dragon Ball? Do you want to see it? Maybe you can spot some problem."

"Yes! Let me see it, quick!" Goku nodded hurriedly, his eyes full of urgency.

Cabba pulled out his camera, found the photo, and handed it to Goku.

Seeing the faint crack on the surface of the Super Dragon Ball in the photo, as well as the black gas seeping out from the crack, Goku's face became even worse.

The form of this black gas was almost identical to the energy fluctuations when the Shadow Dragons were born back then!

"Is a Shadow Dragon really about to be born?" Goku's brows furrowed even tighter. After thinking for a moment, he immediately pulled out a silver communicator from his pocket and pressed the red button on it.

This was the emergency contact method Whis had left for him.

Soon, the communicator's screen lit up, and Whis's avatar appeared on it.

Whis still had that same composed smile: "Oh my, oh my, isn't this Mr. Goku? Why the sudden thought to contact me? Have you run into some trouble?"

"Whis, let me ask you, can the Super Dragon Balls actually birth Shadow Dragons?" Goku didn't waste any words and went straight to the point, his tone full of urgency.

"Mr. Goku, you're really overthinking it." Whis smiled slightly and shook his head gently. "The Super Dragon Balls are completely different from ordinary Dragon Balls. How could they birth Shadow Dragons? Rest assured, there won't be such a thing."

"Then look at this photo!" Goku held the camera up to the communicator, letting Whis see the details in the photo clearly. "There's a crack on the Super Dragon Ball, and it's emitting black gas. What exactly is going on?"

"So it's just a crack on a Super Dragon Ball. I thought it was some major event." Whis still smiled composedly, explaining in a relaxed tone, "This is very normal. The Super Dragon Balls have been floating in the universe for billions of years. It's inevitable they'd be hit by meteors. Having a little crack is very common."

"Normal?" Goku's mouth twitched slightly; he clearly didn't believe this explanation. "What about the black gas on it? That can't be normal too, can it?"

"Of course it's normal." Whis explained with a smile, a flash of something imperceptible crossing his eyes. "You can understand this black gas as the Super Dragon Ball's breathing. It's using this method to regulate its internal energy balance. Only this way can it better grant wishes."

"Breathing?" Goku was stunned, completely confused. "Dragon Balls can breathe? I've never heard of that before."

"The universe is vast, and there's no end to its wonders." Whis gave a laugh, trying to change the subject. "Don't obsess over these small matters."

"I'm still not at ease..." Goku rubbed his head, his brows still not smoothing out. "What if a Shadow Dragon really is born? What then?"

"Put your heart in your stomach. Even if there really is an accident, isn't there still Lord Beerus?" Whis comforted him with a smile. "If the sky falls, Lord Beerus will be there to hold it up. What are you worried about?"

"What if even Lord Beerus can't beat it?" Goku wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and asked with a serious face.

"Then there's still Lord Zeno." Whis smiled even more composedly. "Lord Zeno can wipe out any evil existence with a light wave of his hand. Even a Super Shadow Dragon wouldn't be his match."

"This... alright then." Although Goku was still a bit worried, he knew that pressing further wouldn't yield any results. He could only nod and ask, "By the way, Whis, aren't you coming to take a look? That cracked Super Dragon Ball is in Universe 6, and we're about to head over there."

"I've already seen the photo. Even if I went to the scene, the situation would be about the same as in the photo. There's nothing much to see." Whis smiled, his tone indifferent and self-assured. "Besides, Lord Beerus is still sleeping. I have to stay by his side. If he wakes up and can't find me, he'll throw a tantrum again."

"I understand... but I'll keep an eye on this." Goku said with a serious face, secretly making up his mind to find out the truth about the Super Dragon Balls.

"Where are you guys now?" Whis changed the subject, asking about their whereabouts.

"We're on Cabba's spaceship, heading toward Universe 6." Goku nodded in response. "There's a guy named Moro here who can absorb life energy to get stronger. He also wants to collect the Super Dragon Balls to make a wish. I'm following along to check it out and stop him while I'm at it."

"Alright, I wish you a smooth journey." Whis waved his hand and said no more, directly ending the call.

The communicator's screen went dark. Goku looked at the screen, his brows still tightly furrowed.

He felt like Whis was hiding something, but he couldn't say exactly what was wrong.

...

In the God of Destruction's world of Universe 7, after Whis ended the call, he turned to look at the Oracle Fish lying in the fish tank.

The Oracle Fish looked at him with a face full of hesitation, its fishy face filled with conflict.

"Oracle Fish, if you have something to say, just say it. Don't beat around the bush." Whis smiled and walked over, lightly tapping the glass of the fish tank.

"Whis, is it really appropriate for you to lie to Mr. Goku like that?" The Oracle Fish blew a bubble, its tone full of worry. "The crack on the Super Dragon Ball is clearly very dangerous. Why didn't you tell him the truth?"

"The time isn't ripe yet." Whis explained with a smile, his eyes becoming a bit deeper. "Letting Mr. Goku know about the Shadow Dragons too early might affect the development of the overall situation, and could even trigger even greater chaos."
