The taste of fainting twice within twenty-four hours was truly unpleasant.
At least after waking up this time, Kate felt her body was heavier than ever before.
It felt as if every blood vessel in her body was blocked by something.
However, what surprised her wasn't her physical condition, but the people standing in her room.
Two old men and a middle-aged man.
She knew the former two, but the man behind them—wearing black robes, with a gloomy expression, sallow skin, and that iconic hooked nose...
Heh, the potion she drank earlier certainly hadn't come from the old butler's hands.
Recognizing the man's identity, she lifted her eyelids slightly with a weak expression. "Grandpa?"
Rand turned around and came over joyfully to hold her hand. "Miss, how are you feeling now?"
Kate carefully assessed her current physical condition and answered honestly, "Uncomfortable..."
How could it not be uncomfortable?
The magic throughout her body was blocked by the magic-suppressing potion. Even though they had helped clear it, it would still be several hours before the potion's effects wore off.
The hook-nosed man walked over briskly, his black robes billowing as if equipped with a blower.
Suddenly seeing a stranger who didn't look like a good person, Kate's first reaction was to shrink back into her quilt.
"Miss, do not be afraid. This is Severus Snape, a professor at Hogwarts."
Rand knew that his Miss rarely interacted with strangers, so he hurriedly comforted her.
Kate blinked, her small face pale. Her shrinking gaze lingered on Rand for a moment before finally casting toward a certain white-bearded old man at the very back.
Dumbledore had anticipated her reaction. He walked over and smiled with a slightly relaxed air.
"Kate, do not be nervous. This is indeed the Potions Professor at Hogwarts. If nothing unexpected happens, you will be seeing each other often in the future."
What did that mean?
Seeing each other often?
Did something go wrong with her body?
Several thoughts flashed through her mind quickly, but she soon tossed them to the back of her head. Kate continued to maintain the timidity expected of an eleven-year-old child.
She looked up cautiously at Snape and spoke in a soft, timid voice, "Hello, Professor."
Rand, standing to the side, was nearly moved to tears. His Miss was a polite, good child no matter the time!
Snape's expression remained unmoved, his pitch-black eyes staring fixedly at her.
Kate estimated that he was observing her magical fluctuations.
It was said that every wizard had them, but only wizards who had reached a certain level of strength could observe them.
Maintaining the same expression as she stared at Snape for a long time, Kate felt tired just lying there. She blinked her eyelids slightly, only to see Snape's thick, straight brows furrow.
This startled Kate, who had just wanted to move a little.
"How is it, Severus?" Dumbledore immediately stepped forward.
Snape straightened his neck and turned around. "The magic is indeed no small matter. I need to delete and add some ingredients to the original formula and brew it again."
Rand stood up and bowed slightly. "Then I shall trouble you. I will personally come to retrieve the potion in one day."
"No," Snape furrowed his brows again, "I need three days."
After speaking, he Apparated and left the place. It was clear he was in a hurry.
The two old men left in the room looked at each other in slight surprise.
Everyone knew Snape was a Potions Master. For something like a magic-suppressing potion, which wasn't considered particularly difficult, to require three days to modify the formula...
It seemed the problem with Kate's magic was more serious than previously predicted.
Amidst the silence in the room, the ignored Kate sat up weakly. "Excuse me... did something happen to me?"
If anything bad had happened, it could only be that fifty years of mana given by the System.
If there was a problem with that thing, then she would have to carefully consider whether or not to continue with the subsequent quests.
Rand snapped back to reality and forced a smile. "Miss, I think you do not need to go to Hogwarts for the time being."
Kate was stunned. Did something happen that she didn't know about while she was unconscious?
She looked at Dumbledore beside her with some confusion.
White Dark Lord, you were the one who wanted her to enroll from the moment we met!
Say something!
"Does Mr. Headmaster also believe... that I cannot enter Hogwarts?" Her voice even carried a hint of crying.
As the Headmaster of Hogwarts, Dumbledore had seen many children who came to him crying after suffering grievances.
He should have been adept at handling such children.
It was just that the Kate before him was different from other young wizards. This was a child who knew nothing about herself and couldn't even enter the school.
Looking at her kindly with his bright azure eyes, Dumbledore spoke in the gentlest tone possible. "As the Headmaster of Hogwarts, I welcome all young wizards of age to come here to study."
"Kate, you do not need to panic. From the moment you were born, your name was written on Hogwarts's enrollment list; it will not be erased."
"Were you not always afraid of the magical world before? Therefore, Rand and I have discussed it. For the sake of your physical and mental health, we will not let you enroll so soon."
"Of course, listen to me finish first. This does not mean you are forbidden from enrolling. Rather, we plan to find you a home tutor first, to let you slowly learn to integrate into the magical world."
"Once you have adapted to life in the magical world, you can come to Hogwarts to attend school at any time. What do you think?"
Home tutor?
She hadn't even brought that up yet; how did these two elderly men actively handle it for her?
Was the System quest completed this easily?
Kate still wore a bewildered expression on her face. "Hogwarts also agrees to my delayed enrollment?"
"Of course," Dumbledore blinked playfully. "As the Headmaster, I still have that much authority."
Alright then. She hadn't expected that just by actively drinking a bottle of potion that obviously had issues, she would make both Rand and Dumbledore change their minds together.
Since they were actively delivering the fruits of the quest to her, she would be a fool to push it away.
Kate pursed her lips, her small face finally tinged with a bit of a flush, and looked expectantly at Rand. "Grandpa Rand, then will you be my home tutor?"
In her view, since Rand was Dumbledore's comrade-in-arms, his strength must not be poor.
He would be more than qualified to be her teacher.
"This..." Rand pondered with some difficulty. "Miss, your enlightenment teacher must be carefully selected. I am merely an ordinary butler."
Old man, you are being humble, truly.
To the side, Dumbledore smiled faintly. "Kate, we have already decided on your teacher. You will definitely like them very much."
Looking at the benevolent face of the White Dark Lord, the expectant expression on Kate's face froze slightly.
She had a feeling that things were not that simple.
