Akira stood silently before the brilliant white sphere, his eyes reflecting the soft glow that pulsed from within it.
It was not merely another Quirk. It was the culmination of a month of planning, experimentation, and countless calculations. More importantly, it was a gift that had been created with a single person in mind.
Behind him, Izumi remained completely occupied by the sentient Quirks, who were desperately trying to survive another barrage of her endless questions.
Akira smiled faintly. 'Good. That should keep her distracted for a little while.' He slowly raised his hand and placed his palm against the smooth white sphere. Its surface rippled gently beneath his touch.
He closed his eyes as his thoughts drifted toward the Quirks that had become this unfinished soul.
Fox
Type: Mutant
Allows the user to possess the physical characteristics and instincts of a fox. Their agility, balance, hearing, smell and reflexes are all enhanced considerably, making them excellent trackers and evasive fighters.
Energy Conversion
Type: Emitter
Converts external impact force or absorbed heat into usable energy. The accumulated energy can either be stored within the body for later use, released as destructive energy beams, or redirected to temporarily amplify the user's physical abilities.
Enhancement Aura
Type: Emitter
The user releases a white aura that enhances every physical attribute by a factor of ten. Strength, speed, durability, reflexes and stamina all receive an enormous increase while the aura remains active.
Photosynthesis
Type: Mutant
The user absorbs sunlight to regenerate their body. Minor injuries may heal within seconds under strong sunlight, while severe wounds require significantly longer exposure. Regenerating lost limbs is possible, although it may require months of continuous sunlight depending on the extent of the damage.
Eclipse
Type: Accumulation
The user absorbs sunlight to gradually strengthen every aspect of their body, including strength, speed, stamina, durability and heightened senses. The absorption rate depends on the time of day, reaching maximum efficiency under direct sunlight and becoming significantly weaker during the night.
Energy Generation
Type: Accumulation
Continuously generates energy inside the user's body. The stored energy can be expelled through the mouth as concentrated flames or released explosively from any part of the body to dramatically enhance physical speed, strength and mobility.
Those six Quirks alone would have created an incredibly powerful ability. However, Akira had gone a step further during the creation process. Instead of simply merging them together, he had carefully extracted fragments from several purified Quirks and incorporated those fragments into the foundation of this new Quirk, reinforcing its stability while ensuring that every ability complemented the others instead of conflicting.
Even so, he wasn't completely satisfied. 'The energy isn't enough yet,' Akira thought calmly. 'It can function perfectly, but it still hasn't reached the level I envisioned.'
His thoughts naturally drifted toward the future.
'That problem will solve itself when Izumi inherits One For All.'
Unlike everyone else, Akira understood what truly resided within One For All. The Quirk wasn't merely an accumulation of power. It was also a collection of souls, each carrying immense energy. Once Izumi received it, he planned to purify every Vestige Soul within One For All except Nana Shimura's before merging the Quirk with this one.
As for Nana herself...A small smile appeared on his face. 'Dad deserves to speak with his master again.'
If Nana's soul remained intact, All Might would finally be able to have one last conversation with the woman who had sacrificed everything for him.
'And once One For All merges with this Quirk...' Akira's eyes softened. 'There should finally be enough energy to completely regenerate Dad's ruined organs and stomach. No more coughing blood. No more time limit. No more pretending everything is fine.'
He slowly tightened his hand against the sphere. 'Just wait a little longer...' The thought alone made him smile. His father had sacrificed everything for the world. It was about time someone saved him instead.
Behind him...The Quirks were still struggling.
"Izumi!"
"Please!"
"One question at a time!"
BoBoiBoy cried dramatically while Panny spun around helplessly.
"My pan is overheating!"
"I don't even have a brain!"
"How am I supposed to answer biology questions!?"
Luffy scratched his head. "I forgot what she asked!"
"You forgot after the first question," Senku sighed.
Meliodas simply laughed. Even Kaguya covered her mouth politely, unable to hide her amusement.
Everyone suddenly fell silent as they noticed the white sphere beginning to tremble.
Kaguya's gentle smile disappeared, replaced by curiosity.
Ddraig folded his wings.
BoBoiBoy crossed his arms.
Even the perpetually lazy Slaking lazily opened one eye.
Every gaze shifted toward Akira as the white sphere pulsed once.
Then again.
A deep hum echoed throughout the endless void as waves of pure energy rolled outward like ripples spreading across an ocean.
Izumi's emerald eyes sparkled so brightly that they looked like stars. "I-It's changing..." she whispered, unable to tear her gaze away.
"So this... this is how a new Quirk Soul is born..." Her breathing quickened as she watched the miracle unfold before her eyes.
The sphere slowly changed colour. White gradually faded into brilliant orange.
The glow intensified until the entire space seemed to be bathed in warm golden light, forcing everyone to shield their eyes for a brief moment.
Akira quietly stepped backward, giving the Quirk enough room to complete its birth.
The energy surrounding the sphere expanded before slowly collapsing inward. Its shape began to change.
Four legs formed first.
Then a powerful torso.
Nine magnificent tails unfurled one after another behind the growing body.
Large fox ears twitched atop its head as crimson eyes slowly opened.
When the light finally dispersed completely, a giant orange fox stood proudly before everyone. It was nearly the size of a delivery van. Its nine tails swayed gracefully behind it, radiating overwhelming yet gentle power.
Akira looked up at the majestic fox with a smile filled with satisfaction. "Welcome to the world.....Kurama."
The enormous fox lowered its massive head respectfully. "Thank you for giving me life, Master."
Its deep yet calm voice echoed gently throughout the mindscape. Akira stepped forward without hesitation and affectionately rubbed the fox's muzzle. "I'm glad you like your new life."
Kurama closed his eyes slightly beneath the gentle pats before letting out a content rumble.
Only then did Akira turn toward the still speechless Izumi.
She looked completely frozen. Her mouth hung open. Her brain had seemingly stopped functioning after witnessing an actual Quirk being born before her eyes.
Akira couldn't help chuckling. "Come here."
Izumi subconsciously walked toward him, still staring at the gigantic fox.
"S-So..."
"So?"
"He's... really alive?"
"He is."
"And he can think?"
"He can."
"And he can talk?"
"He already did."
"And..."
Akira gently flicked her forehead. "Stop buffering."
"E-Eh!?" She covered her forehead with both hands while pouting. "I wasn't buffering!"
"You were."
"I wasn't!"
"You looked like your brain crashed." Izumi puffed out her cheeks in protest while the surrounding Quirk Souls quietly laughed.
"You wanted to know what your birthday present was, right?" Akira smiled before looking back toward Kurama. "Kurama."
The nine-tailed fox immediately lowered his head. "From today onward...You will become Izumi's Quirk."
"Please take care of her for me."
For the first time since entering the mindscape...Izumi's expression completely shattered. "W-What...?"
She stared back and forth between Akira and Kurama.
"W-Wait...W-WHAT!?"
Her voice echoed throughout the endless space.
Kurama simply bowed respectfully. "As you command, Master. I shall protect Lady Izumi with my life."
Izumi's breathing became uneven. "M-Me...?"
"M-My Quirk...?"
Akira nodded with a warm smile. "Happy birthday."
She looked at him in complete disbelief.
"T-This...This is my birthday present...?"
"It is."
"B-But...I-I can't accept something this precious!"
Akira simply smiled and stepped closer before gently placing a hand on top of her head.
"A year ago...I met my very first friend." His voice was calm, yet every word carried undeniable sincerity.
"She had the heart, the determination, and the kindness of a true hero long before she ever possessed a Quirk. Even when everyone laughed at her dream due to her quirklessness, she never stopped wanting to save people."
Izumi's eyes gradually became blurry.
"And without even realizing it...she also saved me." Akira looked directly into her trembling emerald eyes.
"She pulled me out of my shell."
"She made me smile more."
"She gave me someone to laugh with."
"She listened to all my ideas, helped me improve my Quirks, and somehow managed to make every training session fun."
A soft chuckle escaped him. "She is a little absent-minded."
"She mumbles so much that sometimes I can't even understand half of what she is saying."
"She absolutely adores All Might."
He smiled at her teasingly. "And sometimes you're so shy that you look like you'll faint if someone compliments you."
His smile became even gentler. "But...I wouldn't trade you for anyone else."
Tears finally escaped Izumi's eyes. They rolled silently down her cheeks as she desperately tried to stop crying.
Akira continued speaking anyway. "So...To make sure you can safely reach your dream...I made this Quirk for you."
He closed his eyes for a brief moment before smiling once more as he placed a hand gently over his heart.. "You don't need a Quirk to be my hero."
"You already became one the day you became my friend."
"But...I still want to help my hero."
"Happy birthday, Izumi."
"Thank you...for being born into this world."
"A-Aki-kun..." That was the final straw.
Izumi burst into tears before throwing herself into Akira's arms with all the strength she had.
She hugged him tightly, burying her face against his shoulder as her sobs echoed through the endless void.
Akira simply smiled and gently patted her head without saying another word.
Sometimes...Silence conveyed feelings far better than words ever could.
Not far away, the Quirk Souls quietly watched the scene unfold.
Kurama's nine tails swayed peacefully as he smiled.
Kaguya folded her hands together with a warm expression. "I'm sure they'll accomplish wonderful things together."
Kurama nodded slowly. "I shall ensure she reaches the future Master envisioned."
On the opposite side, however...BoBoiBoy was bawling dramatically while rivers of tears poured from his eyes. "T-That's so beautiful!"
"My eyes are leaking!" Panny somehow produced an entire handkerchief despite being a frying pan. "I can't stop crying! My tears are rusting me!"
Luffy wiped his nose with one sleeve while openly sobbing. "Shishishi... that's what friends are!"
Even Groudon sniffled quietly.
Ddraig sighed dramatically before pretending to wipe nonexistent tears from his dragon eyes.
Even Senku quietly smiled as he closed the book in his hands. "It's ten billion percent impossible to calculate human emotions."
Meliodas laughed helplessly, while only Slaking remained lying comfortably on Ariados' web hammock.
He lazily opened one eye before yawning. "...Cute."
Then he rolled over and immediately fell asleep again, making Ariados sigh while everyone else laughed softly at the ever-lazy ape.
