Morning, 9:00 AM in Delhi. The scene opens at Shri Ram College of Commerce, inside the campus where a group of four girls are chatting.
Girl 1 says,
"Do you guys know what happened yesterday?"
The other girls immediately get curious and ask,
"What happened yesterday?"
"Vanshika, tell us what happened!"
Vanshika replies,
"Riya Kashyab and Chaitanya Malhotra from our college were dating each other, and yesterday they finally kissed."
Just then, one of the girls says,
"How is that possible? Wasn't Riya Vijay's girlfriend?"
Another girl responds,
"What are you even talking about, Swita? That guy is the poorest boy in the entire college, and you're giving him the status of being Riya's boyfriend? Riya is the daughter of a businessman!"
Just then Swita says,
"Why are you saying that, Darshita? So what if Vijay is poor? He's a kind-hearted guy."
Darshita replies,
"Oh really? If you like that useless and poor guy so much, then you become his girlfriend, Swita."
Hearing that, Swita goes completely silent.
Vanshika then says,
"Just because his name is Vijay doesn't mean he has the personality of South actor Vijay Thalapathy sir."
Hearing that, all the girls burst out laughing, "Ha… ha… ha… ha…" Only Swita doesn't laugh at their pointless jokes.
Now we see the scene in Vijay's class. Vijay and his best friend Rahul are sitting on a bench when a guy from their department walks in.
He is also Vijay's rival and hates him.
That guy says to Vijay,
"Oh look who's sitting here so calmly, not even knowing that last night his girlfriend cheated on him. But poor guy still doesn't know."
Hearing this, Vijay angrily says,
"Oi, what nonsense are you talking about this early in the morning? Do you even know what you're saying?"
Rahul adds, "Oi Mohit, did you come here drunk or something?"
Mohit replies,
"No, I'm not drunk. I saw it on social media. Vijay's girl posted on Instagram 'Love with Chaitanya Malhotra' and even mentioned his ID in her bio. And don't tell me your phone recharge is over. If it's not, then check it yourself."
In anger, Vijay grabs Mohit by the collar and says,
"What did you say about my Riya? Say it again."
Mohit says,
"I'm not lying. Take out your phone and check for yourself."
Vijay lets go of his collar.
Then everyone in the class takes out their phones, opens Instagram, and sees that Riya has really written that in her bio.
They also see a post where Riya and Chaitanya are kissing each other.
Seeing this, it feels like Vijay gets a massive shock. For a few moments, he can't even believe what he has just seen.
Then suddenly—thud!—he falls to the ground.
It feels like the ground has slipped from under his feet.
Rahul quickly supports him and says,
"Bro, control yourself. Are you okay?"
Mohit again mocks him,
"Careful, he might die from heartbreak. Poor Vijay, he only had a girlfriend in the name of family, and now even she's gone."
Rahul angrily says to Mohit,
"Mohit, before I lose my temper, you better leave. Otherwise, whatever happens to you won't be my responsibility."
Understanding the situation, Mohit says,
"Fine, fine. I was leaving anyway. I don't even like this useless drama."
Saying that, he leaves.
Rahul looks at Vijay, who is still sitting on the ground in shock.
The whole class is staring at him.
Realizing this, Rahul forcefully helps Vijay stand up.
"Oi Vijay, get up. Let's go ask Riya about this. Did she really do this? Doesn't she care about you at all? Come on, get up."
Vijay stands up. Now he is filled with anger. He says to Rahul,
"You don't need to come with me. I want to talk to her alone and ask why she did this."
And saying that, he walks away.
