Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 16: The morning after

The car came to a stop in front of a cabin. It was small but charming—the kind of aesthetic place I only ever see on my social media feed, but now it was right in front of my eyes. I glanced at the woman beside me. There she was again, leaning in close.

Wahh! Control yourself, Alice! Remember, she's a girl, and you're a girl, too!

You are not a "tibo" like Kianna says, okay?

She stopped moving when I raised both my hands to my chest like a shield.

"Hep! I've got it. I can do this myself; I'm a big girl now," I blurted out, quickly unbuckling my seatbelt before she could get any closer. My heart was racing far too fast for comfort.

"See? Basic," I added with a nervous grin, retreating to my corner of the seat.

She stepped out of the car, and I followed her into the cabin.

"Have a seat," she said simply.

"Would you like coffee? Tea? Or beer?" she offered. It was a bit embarrassing, but I chose the beer. I felt like I hadn't finished what I started at the bar earlier.

"Beer, please, hehe," I replied. She grabbed two bottles from a small refrigerator.

She sat beside me and shrugged off her blazer. Now, she was just in her tube top. I couldn't help but notice how perfectly shaped her body was—she was incredibly toned and sexy, reminded me of Lalisa Manoban from Blackpink.

Suddenly, a wave of shyness hit me. This didn't feel normal. Is this what they call "gay panic"? No, that can't be it.

"W-wait, I'll just go outside for some fresh air," I excused myself, literally sweating from the tension. I hurried out with my beer and made sure the door was shut so she couldn't see me losing my mind.

"Alice, listen. She's a girl, and you're a girl, okay? This feeling is normal because she's just really beautiful... Don't be nervous. I repeat: this is normal," I whispered to myself, trying to convince my heart to stop thumping.

"I am a girl. A total girl," I muttered, closing my eyes and looking up at the sky.

"Were you saying something?"

I felt a sudden puff of warm breath against my ear. I jumped, startled and flustered. She was looking at me intensely. I quickly turned my back to hide my face.

"A-ah, nothing! W-why are you out here? Is there a p-problem?" I stuttered. Suddenly, I felt something soft and warm wrap around my back.

"Nothing. I just thought it was too cold out here and you might get sick. I'm a little worried, you know? You're my first guest, so I need to take care of you while you're here," she said softly, hugging me from behind.

It was embarrassing, but I didn't pull away. I actually felt... comfortable. It was weird, but it felt right.

After a while, I turned to face her, and she let go. "Aren't you cold in that?" I asked, noticing she hadn't taken a jacket for herself. She just smiled at me. Moved by the gesture, I pulled her into a hug to share my warmth. She seemed surprised but, just like me, she let the hug last as long as it needed to.

In that moment, we looked like two people in love, ignoring the chaos of the world outside. Was this feeling possible? Or was I just desperate for comfort—someone to lighten the weight in my chest and make me feel like I truly belong?

By the way, I still didn't know her name. I decided to wait for the right moment to ask.

Tittit! Tittit! Tittit!

I was jolted awake by the shrill sound of an alarm clock. My body felt incredibly heavy, but I knew I had to get up for class. I stretched my limbs before finally dragging myself out of bed.

I stood in front of the mirror, rubbing my eyes. As my vision cleared, I froze. My reflection showed me... shirtless and in my underwear. I rubbed my eyes again, thinking I was still dreaming. I never sleep like this!

Then it hit me. I wasn't hallucinating, and I wasn't in my own room.

"WAAAAAHH!"

I shrieked in panic, frantically looking for my clothes. I found them scattered all over the floor. My heart sank. Did something happen between me and that woman last night?

Luh! Alice, what did you do?! Waahhhh!

I crept downstairs and peeked into the kitchen. I saw her setting the table with breakfast.

Wait... I know this trope. I've read this in novels. After the guy takes the girl's virginity, she wakes up to find him preparing a romantic breakfast for her...

So... that means...

SOMETHING HAPPENED TO US LAST NIGHT?!!!

"WAAAHHHH!!!!"

"Oh, you're awake," she said, noticing me peeking from the stairs. "Breakfast is ready," she added with a smile.

O-M-G! I didn't want to assume, but I had to know. I had to ask! I took a deep breath before approaching her.

"Uhm~ hey," I called out, still not knowing her name.

"Yes?" she asked, pouring hot water for tea.

"D-did anything happen between us l-last night?" I asked, looking at the floor. The embarrassment was never-ending.

She sat on the sofa, looking at me while sipping her tea. She didn't say anything at first—she just gave me a mysterious smile.

So it's true?! Alice's face turned a deep shade of crimson.

"Are you serious?!" I asked hysterically, turning my back and covering my face with my palms.

"Do you really not remember anything?" she asked, her voice teasing, making my face even hotter.

"N-no!"

"Okay, I'll tell you what happened last night."

Flashback

"Give me that, you've had too much to drink."

"NO! ThIs Is MiNe! No oNe tAkEs mY bAbY!"

Geez. "That's enough, Alice. You're drunk. Give me the fvcking beer and rest, understand?"

"Don't speak to me like that! I'm not in the moooood..."

Bwahfkwkdb! (Sound of Alice vomiting)

Hysst!!

"It was simple," she explained. "I had a hard time getting the beer bottle away from you while trying to avoid the mess you made on the floor. You walked upstairs while I was busy cleaning up after you. I had to support you until we got to the room."

"That's it?" I asked, finally looking at her.

"Then I laid you on the bed so you could rest, but you immediately pulled me down beside you."

"And then?" I asked, my mind racing. Is that where the 'magic' happened?!!!

"You said, 'I'm so hot!' and started to undress yourself. You took off your shirt and your pants. I asked what you were doing, but you weren't listening. I went back down to finish cleaning, but then I heard you crying upstairs, so I rushed back. You were crying while saying sorry to your mother over and over again. I think you have a heavy problem you're hiding."

Silence filled the room. So that's how I am when I'm drunk. Hysst.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't know that's what happened last night," I apologized, feeling like an idiot for assuming something else.

"It's not a big deal. Eat now before the food gets cold," she said kindly. I didn't know how to repay her; she was being so good to me even though we were practically strangers.

"By the way," she said, meeting my eyes. "I'm Ruoxi Jane."
