Linda was on her electric pink scooter when the weather suddenly became bad. A heavy wind came, rain began to fall, and lightning struck the side of her scooter. She lost control and was forced to jump off, making her fall badly and severely injure her leg.
At that particular moment, a portal opened above, and Blade came crashing down towards Linda.
"AHH!" Linda shouted as she saw something that looked like a human figure coming directly at her. She tried to dodge, but it was too late. Blade had already landed on her, and in the process of the shock, Linda fainted.
~ Black Out ~
In a small rented apartment—not that spacious, just a simple self-rented place—Blade laid Linda on the couch while keeping her injured leg on his lap.
Linda woke up and saw a strange face, which looked like the same one that had appeared to her before she fainted. She panicked, then noticed her leg resting on his lap. She quickly stood up and stepped back in a threatening gesture.
"Who are you?"
"Who sent you?"
"What's your mission? How did you know my house address?"
Linda interrogated him while holding a remote as her defence weapon.
Blade stood up and slowly walked toward her while Linda backed away.Linda kept moving backward until she reached a stage where she had nowhere else to go. Blade had already trapped her against the wall.
"No where to go, human girl," Blade smirked.
"Firstly, let me answer the first question. Hmm… who am I? I'm a vampire, an alpha of my pack. And you also asked my mission? My mission is to take my flower and return back to my kingdom to ascend the throne. And lastly, how did I know your house address? I saw it in one leather stuff in your black handbag," Blade answered sincerely. Stop coming closer!" Linda warned, gripping the remote tighter. Her heart pounded loudly in her chest. "I swear I'll scream."
Blade stopped. A slow, calm smile spread across his face.
"how can u suddenly say you are a vampire hey mister we are not in the dream world "
"You already asked for proof," he said quietly. "So don't be scared when you get it."
Before Linda could respond, the lights in the apartment flickered—once, twice—then suddenly went out. The room fell into darkness.
"Hey! What did you do?" Linda shouted, her voice shaking.
In the blink of an eye, Blade appeared behind her.
Linda gasped and spun around. "H-How did you— You were just there!"
"I didn't walk," Blade replied calmly. "I moved."
Suddenly, the lights came back on. Blade stood a few steps away from her. Slowly, his eyes changed color, glowing a deep crimson red. Linda stepped back, her legs trembling.
"N-No… this isn't possible," she whispered.
Blade tilted his head slightly and opened his mouth. Two sharp fangs slid down from his upper teeth.
Linda froze.
"To make it clearer," Blade said, reaching for a small knife on the table. Before she could stop him, he made a shallow cut on his palm. Blood appeared—but within seconds, the wound closed and disappeared completely.
Linda's eyes widened in horror.
"That's not human…" she muttered.
Blade met her gaze seriously. "Exactly. Humans don't heal like that. Humans don't move faster than sight. And humans," he paused, "are afraid of the dark."
He waved his hand, and his shadow stretched unnaturally along the wall, twisting into something dark and alive before snapping back to normal.
Linda slid down onto the couch, her strength leaving her.
"Y-You're really a vampire…" she said weakly.
Blade nodded. "Now you believe me."
Silence filled the room as Linda tried to process everything. Her world had changed in one night—storms, portals, vampires—nothing made sense anymore.
"And the flower you talked about?" she finally asked, looking up at him. "What does it have to do with me?"
Blade's expression darkened.
"Everything," he replied.Linda watched Blade carefully as he stood across the room. Her heart was still racing, but she forced herself to speak.
"You didn't answer all my questions," she said, trying to sound brave. "Why are you really here?"
Blade crossed his arms, his gaze sharp and unreadable. He explained himself calmly—about his world, his mission, and why he couldn't leave yet. His voice was steady, confident, almost commanding.
Linda listened silently. Is this vampire… staying here? she wondered in her mind. The thought made her uneasy.
After a long pause, she nodded slowly. Fear crept through her, but she agreed anyway—not because she trusted him, but because she was scared of what might happen if she didn't.
"You can stay," she said quietly. "But… you sleep on the couch."
Blade raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
Moments later, he lay down on the couch, one arm resting behind his head, eyes closed. Linda stood there for a while, watching him, half-expecting him to attack. When he didn't move, she slowly walked into the kitchen.
She boiled water and cooked noodles, her hands shaking slightly. The whole apartment felt strange—too quiet, too tense. When the noodles were ready, she took a deep breath and walked back to the living room.
She bent slightly and shook him. "Hey… wake up."
Blade's eyes snapped open instantly.
The air in the room changed.
He sat up slowly, his expression dark. This was a man who hadn't truly slept in over seventeen hundred years—twenty years without rest—and today felt different. Being awakened like that annoyed him deeply.
"Do you know who you're touching?" he snapped, his voice cold. "I am Blade. Alpha of my kind. Ruler by blood. Feared across kingdoms. I have—"
Linda cut him off.
"Are you eating or not?" she asked bluntly, holding up the bowl of noodles.
Blade stopped mid-sentence and stared at her.
Slowly, he stood up and stepped closer. His presence alone made Linda's breath hitch.
"I do not eat," he said quietly, his voice low enough to send shivers down her spine. "I drink blood."
Linda's eyes widened.
Her grip on the bowl loosened as fear took over. She stepped backward—once, twice—until her back nearly hit the wall again.
"B-Blood?" she whispered.
Blade watched her reaction closely, his eyes unreadable.
"Yes," he replied calmly. "That is what vampires live on."
Linda swallowed hard, her heart pounding.
Blade fangs came out sharp as Linda shuddered in fear.
Blade fought he didn't want to harm Linda, his fang withdrawed then stepped backwards and went outside to free his mind.
Linda stood there dumbfounded she thought just now that she was about to be a vampires feast, she then breathed a sigh of relief.
She didn't have the appetite to eat so she tossed the noodles 🍜 in the trash and went to her room all through that day she tried as much as possible to avoid blade.
