Chapter 20 - Chapter 20

"Lilith, why did you do that?" Andreas asked with wide eyes immediately the kiss was over.

"That was wrong, you should not have done that," he said with his face filled with guilt.

"No, Andreas," Lilith held his hand affectionately. "I was the one who kissed you, you don't have to feel guilty about that. I wanted this and it is because I know I am old enough for that now. I am no longer a child, Andreas, I am a teenager now and very well matured," she said confidently.

"I know you feel like it's abuse or whatever you may call it, but I know what I want and you certainly did not abuse me."

Without words, Andreas pulled her face closer to his with both hands and gave her a sweet kiss. Lilith felt numb at the moment, like the whole world froze beneath their feet and the only things moving were their heads and his hands as he slid them slowly around her waist and pulled her closer.

Before the kiss could graduate to other things that were rated 18+, he broke it for them to catch their breaths.

"I think we'll stop here for now," he said between his unsteady breaths, and she nodded obediently.

"Good girl," he pecked her cheeks and drew her into a heartfelt hug. "I love you, Lilith," he said with the sexiest voice she had ever listened to.

"And I love you too"...

"Guess who decided to show up for training class early today? Lilith!" Sensei Helia called with a deep frown on his face. "I hope you have a good explanation for your absence yesterday."

Lilith and Rain exchanged glances. She definitely didn't have a cover-up story but was hoping that Rain would help her out.

"Lilith?!" He called again, louder than before.

"Yes... sensei." Lilith's voice had said enough already that she absolutely had no answer for that question.

"I am listening!" He stood directly before her now, which worsened the whole situation as Lilith had no excuse tangible enough to give. What exactly would she say? That she was too lazy to come to class or that she was in a very deep sleep she could not wake from? None of them sounded worth it to her and she was definitely going to serve a hell of a punishment.

"Ehm... sensei," Rain tried to step in for her.

"What do you have to say, Rain?" Sensei Helia turned to her with the ugliest frown Rain had ever seen, which made her swallow hard. But it did not stop her from saying what she had to say.

She fell on her knees immediately with her face on the floor.

"Sensei, I am the..." she wanted to take the blame for Lilith's absence but was interrupted by the voice of someone she knew very well.

'Why is he here?' She asked herself as a blush crept onto her face and she hid it so that he would not see it was her, else he might think of her as a troublemaker or a very stubborn person.

"Sensei Helia!" a not-too-deep male voice called from the entrance to their training ground.

"Come in, son," the sensei turned away his attention from Lilith and Rain to the handsome male aspirant that just walked in.

"Sensei," he bowed to him in a show of honor before raising his head to state his purpose.

"I am aspirant Florate Henshaw and I have come with word from my sensei, sensei Miratroy," he said boldly, making Rain's cheeks burn the more. 'Oh, he is so adorable.'

"Oh, ok," the sensei nodded. "Speak," he ordered.

"She sent me to tell you to meet by the fallen tree of Fin by sunset today. She wishes to speak to you concerning the test of courage as you both disciples would be teaming up. She wants everything to go well," he said and bowed.

"Good son. You may leave now."

"One more thing, sensei," Florate said hastily.

"And what might that be?"

"She asked humbly that you resume training with your disciples immediately because time is definitely waiting for no one."

"Your message is well received, son. You may take your leave now."

"Thank you, sensei." Florate turned and left.

As soon as he was out of sight, the sensei sighed deeply then released Rain and Lilith to join the class.

"You are forgiven for today, Lilith. Now join your brothers and sisters, including you, Rain."

As Rain stood, she could not help but wonder if Florate made his last message up just to save her. If he did, then that certainly meant that he felt the same way for her too. Oh, how she wished that was it! She squealed within herself before joining the others, before the sensei would change his mind.

...

'Why was she on her knees with her most beautiful face on the floor?' Florate could not help but question himself as he walked back to his own class. 'Was she a troublemaker or what? No! She doesn't seem like a troublemaker at all. Maybe it was a false allegation or maybe she was taking the blame for someone else.

Whatever it was, he was very glad that he was able to save her from the punishment she was on the verge of serving. He knew very well that lying in his sensei's name was a terrible sin but he did not regret one bit his actions of saving her. Besides, it was not utterly a lie. He was sure his sensei would have wished also that they waste no time unnecessarily, so he was definitely out of danger. He was sure sensei Helia would release her immediately for their class to commence, judging from the aura of urgency he spoke with.

He just doesn't know what, but he cared about her so much and hoped that one day, he would get her to feel the same way about him...
