The letter had just arrived, and Matthew was humming with joy. It had been a long time since he had done some fun, and divination revealed that interesting events would take place in Hogwarts.
After calming down, he took four cards out of his pocket, The four cards were a lion, badger, raven, and a snake.
Placing the card face down, he waved his hand over the cards, and they magically

Looking at the four cards, he thought for a moment, then flipped the first one.
"Gryfindor."
Smiling, he reached for the letter and took out the second parchment, and looked at its contents.
"Lockhart? Why does he have so many books?"
Frowning slightly, he tucked the letter into his pocket, then with a crack, he disappeared.

The leaky cauldron's door opened, and Matthew entered. Looking around, he noticed a lot of witches gathered together with exited faces. Wondering what they were talking about, he asked a man nearby.
"Hello sir, I'm wondering if there are any events nearby."
The man turned and looked at Matthew.
"You don't know? Lockhart is doing a book signing today. You go to hogwarts, right? You should get your books quickly it's gonna be crowded soon."
"Thank you for the advice, sir."
Matthew thanked the man and headed out the back door tapping the stone brick he headed into Diagon Alley.
Looking around, Matthew thought for a moment and walked towards a shop selling ice cream.

Having bought everything except the books, Matthew slowly walked towards Flourish and Blotts. Going inside, there was a table full of pictures of a face, all smiling at people.
Looking at the clock on the wall, he noticed that there was still some time until the book signing, so he grabbed a book and read it in the corner.
Gradually, more and more people gathered, and Gilderoy Lockhart came in smiling and praising himself. Matthew chuckled, looking at Lockhart he thought that Hogwarts was going to be fun.

As Matthew was about to leave, a sudden shout came from Lockhart.
"Harry Potter?"
The crowd parted, and Lockhart grabbed the arm of a boy with a lightning shaped scar on his forehead, pulling him forward.
He then waved at the crowd.
"Ladies and gentlemen, what an extraordinary moment this is!
I have an announcement to make today I shall present young Harry here my autobiography of Magical Me free of charge! Not only that, he and his schoolmates will, in fact, get the real magical me!
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have the pride in announcing that this September,
I will be taking up the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!"
As the crowd cheered, Matthew was silently laughing in the corner, looking at Harry Potter's awkward face.
Harry soon escaped and started to head out.
Matthew wanted to meet him followed but before he arrived, a blonde boy came faster and started to mock Harry.
"Bet you loved that, didn't you, Potter."
"Famous Harry Potter. Can't even go into a bookshop without making the front page."
"Leave him alone. He didn't want all that!" Suddenly, the red-headed girl beside Harry spoke, glaring at the blonde boy.
Another red-headed boy and a girl with bushy brown hair arrived, the red headed boy looked at the blonde boy and insulted him with an unpleasant voice.
Soon, the red-headed boy's father came and was about to take them out of the crowded shop but was stopped by the blonde boys' father, and they began to fight.causing the surrounding crowd to move away.
Matthew, looking at the two fight decided to interfere.
'lapsus inpes'
As malfoy was about to punch Weasley, he suddenly slipped and punched the shelf, causing books to fall down on both of them. The crowd gasped, and the two men fighting momentarily stopped. But the pause didn't last long as they soon began fighting again
Mrs. Weasley was shouting at him to stop while his children were excited and encouraging him.
"Break it up, there, gents, break it up."
A huge man broke through the crowd and pulled Mr. Weasley and Mr. Malfoy apart.
Mr. Malfoy shook the huge man off and left with his son.
"Thank you, Hagrid," said Mrs. Weasley
As she led everyone out.
Matthew watched them walk out and decided to leave for now he could meet them at hogwarts anyways.
