Chapter 1 - Chains of Destiny

Lunara's life had never been kind. Her stepmother hated her with a quiet, burning fury, her stepsisters mocked her endlessly, and the villagers barely noticed her existence. But the cruelty of home was only the beginning.

One night, her stepmother saw a chance for profit. She sold Lunara to a rich merchant, a man known across the lands for his greed and cruelty. He treated her as property, a tool to be displayed and commanded. Nights were spent in cold, gilded cages, days under the whip of his servants' orders.

Lunara had no friends, no allies—only the restless wind that always seemed to follow her. She whispered her fears to it, and sometimes it answered, brushing her hair across her face as if in sympathy.

But danger had other faces. One of the merchant's guests was a witch of terrible repute, drawn to Lunara's hidden power. The witch sought to manipulate her, to twist her gift of the air into a weapon. The merchant, oblivious, thought he had bought wealth, but he had unknowingly invited peril into his home.

When the witch tried to take her, the world changed in an instant. The walls of the merchant's mansion seemed to close in, shadows twisting and reaching for her. Fear clawed at Lunara's chest, but in that desperate moment, a figure appeared: Anefiala.

Anefiala was a woman of terrifying beauty and quiet strength. Her eyes were dark and infinite, and her hands could summon the very earth itself. With a gesture, trees burst from the floors and walls, roots twisting around the witch and throwing her from the room. The air vibrated with power as Lunara realized that she was being saved, not by fate, but by someone who understood the dangers of power.

"Come," Anefiala said, her voice calm but unyielding. "If you stay, you will die. If you run… perhaps you will survive."

And so Lunara's journey began—a path through darkness, danger, and enemies that would never stop hunting her. Every step carried the threat of death, betrayal, or manipulation. Witches waited in forests, greedy nobles stalked villages, and even nature itself could turn against her if she did not learn to control the storm inside her.

But Lunara was no ordinary girl. The winds whispered her name, and somewhere deep within, she knew that survival alone was not enough. She was destined for something greater. Something terrifying.

Her life would be a battle against fear itself, and only by mastering the powers she had never fully understood could she hope to escape the chains that bound her.
