Chapter 1 - To the Abyss

Just like anybody else, Agra's soul was subconsciously traveling to the dark abyss after his death, and there was nothing that he could do about it.

He perfectly understood what awaits him. Not hell. Not heaven. Just an endless of nothingness that would drive anybody crazy , and yet, the composure that his soul maintained was certainly uncertain.

It was more like death was a relief to him, a key to unbind him from the chain of slavery.

Something that granted him the freedom he had been longing for for as long as he could remember, as he couldn't have imagine just how much he had wished to have been born as a human, rather than a medley.

Maybe then he would have met a different fate, a loving family, a brother, a sister, but as they say, it was all but a fantasy right now.

'Maybe my death would grant them'll the freedom they were longing for.' he thought with a smick at the face as his soul, but suddenly, the unsettling chill run down his spine that forced him to open his eyes wide.

Just a few distance, the gate to the abyss could be seen, cold, chilling and terrifying that made Agra to question if he was really ready to be dead right now.

It was so terrifying to be this close to it, so what if he truly enters through the gate?

He knew the medley race were an abomination to the Maker, but this made him to wonder if the Maker really hated them this much to create such a terrifying place for his kind.

At this point, even hell could have been better, and this certainly made Agra to realize just how much he wasn't ready for this.

He quickly struggled to stop his floating soul that was dashing to the abyss gate, but unfortunately, he was already too late as he was too close to the abyss.

From nowhere, a massive force pulled him towards the gate, and the more he got closer, the more terrifying it look.

He struggled, screamed for help, cursing the Maker for hating them so much and yet, this was all meaningless as this was the fate to all the Medleys after there death, and it doesn't matter how good or bad they were while still breathing.

"If only I could have a second chance, I swear to become a villain that even the heavens would fear!" Agra found himself desperately cursing, but it was of no use.

This wasn't some fantasy novel, or anime, or K-drama where the mc would suddenly awaken a system and found themselves reborn to the moment they were supposed to make a life changing decision. No. it wasn't, this was a reality.

A life to all the medleys, the beings that originated from the bloodline of a god and a mundane.

Some might call them demigods or half gods, some might even call them Hercules and yet, to the Maker, the creator of all, these were nothing but an abomination that needed to be eliminated without a second thought.

So yeah, there was no coming back to Agra and yet, at the pick of his despair, something strange happened.

Everything around him suddenly seemed to have been frozen, quiet, cold and chilling as if time itself had been frozen.

Yeah, the abyss was already quite, cold, and chilling, but not like this. This was more... Chaotic in nature that looked even more terrifying than the abyss itself, and before Agra could wonder what was happening to him, a dark black background computerized screen with a crimson writings suddenly materialized in front of his ocean blue soul's eyes.

{Soul interception successful}

{A period of 10 seconds granted}

{A life time opportunity granted}

{Congratulations! You have been selected as the contestant for the throne of Chaos}

{Would you accept this fate?}

{Yoo have been granted 10 seconds to decide}

{10}

...

Agra looked at the screen displaying in front of his soul with both disbelief and confusion.

Was this even possible? Or was this just some last joke the universe was throwing on him?

He tilted his head to the side and looked at the gate to the abyss from a distance away, and subconsciously he found himself clenching his fist tight.

{9}

...

No, it wasn't supposed to end like this for him. He still had so much to accomplish. He still has too many places to visit, he still had too many girls to ...

{8}

...

What pained him the most was the fact that he couldn't accomplish all of this because of his own family.

Agra was the fourth child in the house Asha, and having a surname in the FirstWorld, the world first created by the Maker and centered in the middle of all the universes, meant only three things; one was that the person belonged to the royal bloodline, noble bloodline, or the person received an emblem from their core parent, who are typically gods.

{7}

...

The house of Asha were nobles, city Lords to be price, and yet, Agra had never experienced any kind of nobility for as long as he could remember.

{6}

....

Just at his birth, his mother Mysteriously disappeared and left him with his father. And for some reasons, his family were blaming him for this.

{5}

...

Agra had never experienced any love or joy of having a family, he was treated as a slave, no, even a slave had a better fate than what he endured.

{4}

...

He was tortured, tormented untill recently when his body couldn't take it anymore as it gave in, forcing him to an earlier death.

{3}

...

With this already running in his mind and with the fact that he was already dead, Agra felt like he had nothing else to lose.

{2}

...

"So what if it is a joke?" He smirked in away that, if he was still in his body, one could have seen tears dangling in his blueish eyes.

{1}

...

"I accepted!" He should just before zero could display.

{Fate accepted}

{Role calculate}

{Role found}

{Congratulations! You have been granted a throne protector role}

[@$#&¥€®©§π€^£}®-#9+-#6&@5@(&#&-&@&]

[Error @##$]

{You have been granted a Throne sitter role}

The text displayed that left Agra puzzled for a moment.

"Was that... a glitch..? Is that even possible..?" He wondered as that seemed completely strange, but the screen did not stop there.

{Congratulations! You have been granted one of the Chaos Fluxed Energy}

{Note; a great sacrifice is need for one to utilize the Chaos Fluxed Energy}

{Thus, your health will deteriorate in the proposition to the Chaos Fluxed Energy used.}

{The contestant's soul would now return to his body.}

The texted displayed, and with that, Agra's vision went dark again
