Chapter 100 – The Start of Filming for Mission: Impossible – Fallout
April was in full swing, and Jacob was leaving behind the festive atmosphere of Coachella to embark on a new and exciting challenge: filming Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
The role of August Walker, originally intended for Henry Cavill, was now his. A formidable antagonist, a CIA agent with brute strength and impressive combat skills. For Jacob, this meant another physical and mental challenge, in addition to working with a legendary cast.
The sun shone over Paris, where the first scenes would be shot.
Jacob arrived on set on time, wearing a black leather jacket, dark jeans, and boots. As he got out of the car, he took a deep breath. He had starred in action films before, but Mission: Impossible was an icon of the genre, and he knew he needed to deliver something grand.
As soon as he entered the studios, Christopher McQuarrie, the director, came to greet him.
— Jacob! Welcome officially to the team. We're excited to see what you'll bring to August Walker.
Jacob shook his hand firmly.
— Thank you, Chris. I'm ready to give it my all.
— And I know you will.
Minutes later, he met the legend in person: Tom Cruise.
The actor was in his classic style, leather jacket and a charismatic smile, contagious energy.
— Jacob! We finally meet. I've heard so much about you.
Jacob smiled and extended his hand.
— And I grew up watching your movies. It's an honor to be here, truly.
Tom laughed.
— I hope you're ready, because I like to do my own stunts… and I heard you like that too.
Jacob crossed his arms, defiantly.
— Well, they say that's what separates the men from the boys, right?
Tom chuckled.
— I want to see that!
Then, other cast members began introducing themselves.
Rebecca Ferguson, who played the mysterious Ilsa Faust, greeted him with a smile.
Simon Pegg, the comic relief and tech genius Benji, cracked a joke.
Ving Rhames, as Luther Stickell, shook his hand firmly and said, "Tom said you can take a beating. Let's see if that's true."
Jacob already felt at home.
Even though he was an athlete and combat expert, Jacob needed to embody the character.
August Walker was an elite CIA agent, so his posture, body language, and even his fighting style needed to be impeccable.
For weeks, Jacob underwent grueling training, which included:
✔ Advanced CQB (Close Quarters Battle) techniques,
✔ Choreographed fights, mixing Krav Maga, Jiu-Jitsu, and brutal brawling,
✔ Weapons training, improving precision and handling,
✔ Parachuting training for the iconic HALO scene.
During one of the fight training sessions, Rebecca Ferguson entered the room, observing Jacob exchanging blows with an instructor.
"Wow… you really know how to fight."
Jacob dodged a blow and immobilized the instructor in seconds.
"I do what I can."
Rebecca crossed her arms.
"You know… in the last fight scene I filmed, Tom accidentally punched me."
Jacob laughed.
"I'll try to avoid that."
Rebecca smiled.
"Or maybe I'll hit you first."
The first major scene Jacob would film was one of the most iconic in the movie: the bathroom fight, where August Walker and Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) face a deadly assassin.
The set was built to look like a luxurious hotel bathroom. Marble sinks, giant mirrors, perfectly aligned toilets… all to be destroyed.
Before the cameras started rolling, Tom Cruise, Jacob, and the stuntman playing the assassin met with the fight choreography team.
The action coordinator explained:
"This fight has to be brutal, realistic. No fancy moves. We want it to look like a real fight, where everyone is trying to survive."
Jacob and Tom practiced the movements before filming.
Tom looked at Jacob and smiled.
"Remember, if you really hit me, don't stop. We'll go all the way."
Jacob laughed.
"Okay, but if I hit you hard, you'll remember that from the helicopter scene."
— I'm going to hit you hard up there.
The cameras started rolling.
The scene was frenetic.
Jacob threw a devastating punch, shattering the mirror.
Tom dodged and counter-attacked with speed.
The assassin stuntman attacked with agile movements, forcing the two to use all their strength and skill.
The fight was dirty and violent. They threw themselves against sinks, broke cubicles, and landed punches that looked real.
At one point, Jacob grabbed the stuntman by the collar and forcefully lifted him, throwing him against the wall.
When they finally finished the scene, the set erupted in applause.
Tom patted Jacob on the shoulder.
— That was incredible! You really brought something new to this character.
Jacob smiled, taking a deep breath.
— Let's see how it looks on screen.
After the fight scene, preparations began for one of the most difficult moments in the film: the HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) jump, a freefall from 8,000 meters.
Jacob already had parachuting training, but this jump was on a completely different level.
During the first rehearsal, Tom Cruise approached him and said:
"Are you scared yet?"
Jacob laughed.
"Just a little. But I'm going to do it anyway."
Tom put his hand on his shoulder.
"Then you have the right spirit for this film."
The two boarded the military plane and ascended to the necessary altitude.
The instructor counted down:
"3… 2… 1…"
And they jumped.
The camera followed them in freefall, capturing every second of the adrenaline. Jacob felt the wind tear at his skin, the cold of the altitude, the weight of the tactical suit… and loved every second of it. When they deployed their parachutes and landed safely, Jacob stood up with a smile.
"That was incredible!"
Tom Cruise patted his glove.
"Welcome to Mission: Impossible."
Chapter 101 – The Met Gala and Jacob's Exclusive Style
The month of April flew by, filled with intense filming for Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Jacob spent days perfecting action scenes, filming car chases, hand-to-hand combat, and piloting helicopters under Tom Cruise's supervision. Each scene demanded precision, stamina, and maximum dedication, and Jacob knew he was delivering a memorable performance.
Now, with May approaching, it was time to shift focus. The Met Gala, one of the most prestigious events in fashion, was fast approaching. This year's theme was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," a fusion of fashion and religious aesthetics. And Jacob would be one of the highlights of the night.
Jacob was in Los Angeles when he received a call from Richard Calloway, his agent.
"Jacob, Armani wants you to represent the brand at the Met Gala this year."
Jacob smiled.
"They're going to do something exclusive for me?"
— Exactly. Giorgio Armani wants you to wear a bespoke suit, inspired by this year's theme. It will be iconic.
Jacob crossed his arms, intrigued.
— I'm in. When is the first fitting?
— Tomorrow in Milan. They want to adjust everything personally.
Jacob laughed.
— Then I'd better book a flight right now.
The next day, Jacob landed in the fashion capital, heading straight to the Armani atelier. As soon as he entered, he was greeted by none other than Giorgio Armani himself.
— Jacob, it's a pleasure to welcome you back.
— The pleasure is mine, Signor Armani.
The designer led Jacob to a private room, where an impeccable black suit was on display. But it wasn't an ordinary suit.
The fabric was a deep black velvet, with details embroidered in gold thread, inspired by the mosaics of Renaissance cathedrals. The collar and cuffs featured subtle gold details, and a short embroidered cape completed the look, conveying an aura of royalty and mystery.
Jacob touched the fabric, impressed.

As he walked, Jacob encountered some friends and colleagues from the industry.
Gal Gadot, stunning in an angelic white dress, smiled when she saw him.
— Jacob, you look like you've stepped out of a medieval dream.
He laughed.
— And you look like a goddess.
Gigi and Bella Hadid approached.
"Jacob, that suit is one of the most beautiful things we've ever seen," said Bella.
"You perfectly matched the theme. Who was the designer?" asked Gigi.
"Armani. He made something exclusive for me."
Rihanna, one of the queens of the Met Gala, appeared wearing a creation inspired by papal attire, with extravagant jewels and embroidery. She looked at Jacob and smiled.
"You really went all out this year, huh? I liked the boldness."
Jacob smiled back.
"Boldness is what makes fashion timeless."
After the red carpet parade, the guests were led inside the Metropolitan Museum, where an exquisite dinner and artistic performances took place.
Jacob sat at a table next to Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and Timothée Chalamet, engaging in conversations about film, fashion, and new projects.
At one point during the evening, Donatella Versace, one of the living legends of fashion, approached Jacob.
"Jacob, you could easily be a global ambassador for menswear."
He smiled.
