"So I really did arrive at the start of the first episode."
A man with light green hair said quietly. He was carrying a bag with striped patterns as he looked towards a building that was covered with steel rods.
"I did train when I first set foot in earth land, and I'm guessing that same day is when Natsu met Lucy." He whispered, and he walked towards the door, then he knocked on it.
However, before he could, he sensed danger just behind him. He widened his eyes as he reflexively dodged. As he rolled to the side, he saw a flaming fist land directly where he was.
"Who are you, and what happened to the guild!?" Natsu questioned, as he looked at Adam, and the latter looked around to see himself surrounded.
"I am Adam Field, and I am a rookie magician who came here to apply to the guild. I don't know what happened. I just got here." Adam said with his hands raised.
"How would we believe you?" Erza said as she had her sword in a ready stance. "Well, I am not dumb enough to do this with people around, and look around my body, there are no guild marks," Adam said.
"It's the Phantom lord," Mirajane said, and the group of Fairy Tail mages looked at her. And Adam put his hands down in relief.
Shadows covered the faces of the veterans of the Fairy Tail as they heard what Mira said.
"Phantom Lord," Natsu said as he clenched his fist.
"It's frustrating, but they got us good," Mira said, then Adam looked at them. Being in this scene reminded him of which episode they were in.
"Uhm... I came here to apply to the guild... where do I do that?" Adam said, breaking the silence. Mira, surprised, looked at him, "Uh, yes, please follow me."
The group of Fairy Tail mages walked inside and headed down to the first underground floor of the Fairy Tail.
Adam, walking down, felt the seriousness of the situation.
"Yo! Welcome back," Makarov said as he drank beer from his mug, and Adam was shocked by how surprisingly small the elder man was. Lucy audibly questioned why the master was drunk.
"We have returned," Erza said, and Natsu then questioned the master. "How can you be so carefree, Gramps?"
"Oh, it's no big deal... at least nobody was hurt," Makarov said, and that made others calmer to say the least.
"Hurt?"
Mira nodded, "Apparently, the Phantom lord attacked the guild at night."
"Yes, so we can't do anything about it... The mission board is opened and here, and can only be moved after rebuilding the guild." Makarov said.
"Gramps, you can't be serious about this. We can't just-" Natsu was speaking before Makarov cut him off. "That's enough out of you, Natsu." He said while patting Lucy's backside.
Mira pouted, "Don't make me angry, Master." Makarov got up and ran away, "Anyway, nature calls."
"How can Gramps be so calm about this?" Natsu questioned.
"Mister Makarov must be as frustrated as you or more; it's just that the magic council forbids fighting among guilds," Adam said, still holding the bag.
"Well If that's masters decision, we can't do anything about it," Erza said, and the group felt defeated.
"So, uh... how do I join?" Adam said still waiting for the procedures. "Ah, yes, please wait here," Mira said as he walked away.
While Adam was standing, a hand reached out for him. "Hello, I'm Lucy. I'm also new at Fairy Tail. And I use celestial spirit magic," Lucy said, and Adam shook his hand.
"Adam Field, I specialize in Takeover Magic and also use Requip Magic," Adam said, then they let go of the handshake. "Natsu, look, Lucian is making herself look cool in the eyes of the newbie." Happy said.
Lucy got angry and punched the cat in the head, "You dam cat, it's Lucy." She said, and Adam was just looking at Happy. "Talking cat," he muttered, and as he was staring at Happy, Mira approached him.
"So, where do you want it, and what color?" Mira said, and then Adam just looked at her. "The cat talked," Adam said.
And then Mira giggled. "Ah, yes, Happy, he is somewhat a mascot of the Fairy Tail," Mira said, and her giggle snapped Adam back to the living world. "Ah, yes, a Mascot."
Adam then moved his shirt up and pointed at his left abdomen, "Here, and could you make it green?" Mira nodded, and then she stamped it on his abdomen, and after a couple of moment Adam covered it with his clothes.
"Welcome to Fairy Tail." Mira smiled at him, and Adam smiled back.
