Chapter 3 - Chapter 6 – Walking With Legends

Morning sunlight reflected off glass towers as Aren walked through the city streets, the sound of traffic blending naturally with Pokémon cries.

People passed by without a second glance.

No one noticed the two Suicune walking just slightly out of phase with reality—visible only to Aren and Charmander.

The handheld device rested in his pocket, warm but silent.

This was intentional.

It didn't interrupt. It didn't shout. It waited until it was needed.

Charmander trotted happily, blue flame flickering with excitement as the male Suicune nudged him playfully. The female followed, calm and watchful, like a quiet guardian.

Aren realized something important then.

This world was peaceful… because people believed it was.

Danger existed—but it was distant, contained, regulated.

And yet—

Dungeon Fluctuation Detected

Location: Subterranean Transit Zone C

Risk: Minimal

Aren exhaled slowly.

"Not today," he murmured.

The Suicune seemed to approve.

Chapter 7 – First Training, No Spectators

Instead of public arenas, Aren chose abandoned rooftops, empty construction zones, and riverside paths at dawn.

His training style was… strange.

No shouting commands.No brute repetition.

He saw the exact point where Charmander's muscles strained. He knew when rest would increase growth more than effort.

Charmander

Strength Growth: +0.8%

Flame Stability: Perfect

Emotional Sync: Rising

The handheld device provided gentle nudges—suggesting movements, adjusting pacing, simulating game-like efficiency without turning reality into numbers.

Charmander loved it.

The Suicune watched closely.

Not learning how to fight.

Learning who Aren was.

That night, as they rested near the river, the female Suicune lay beside the male, their bodies glowing faintly under moonlight.

Aren looked away respectfully.

He understood instinctively:

Pokémon bonds were not tools here.

They were relationships.

Chapter 8 – Crossing Paths

Aren noticed her before the system alerted him.

A girl stood near a pedestrian bridge, shiny Charmander beside her, staring at the water with quiet focus.

Blue flame.

Just like his.

Parallel User Confirmed

Name: Liora

Power State: Hidden

Compatibility: Confirmed

Their eyes met.

There was no shock.

Only recognition.

"You see it too," she said calmly.

Aren nodded. "Everything."

They walked together without introductions.

Two Charmander sniffed each other, tails glowing brighter in response.

Behind them, the two Suicune stiffened—alert, curious.

Then relaxed.

Liora noticed.

"…Legendary?"

"Two," Aren replied.

She smiled—not greedy, not impressed.

Just accepting.

"That figures."

Chapter 9 – Shared Secrets

They sat on the bridge rail, legs dangling above the slow-moving river.

Liora spoke first.

"I can see potential. Limits. Futures. But no one else knows."

"Same," Aren said.

They compared notes—not abilities, but rules.

Hidden power.Peaceful world.Handheld device that felt like a game—but wasn't.

"My device helps with breeding," Liora added softly. "Not forcing it. Just… guiding compatibility."

Aren blinked, then laughed quietly.

"That explains a lot."

Their Charmander curled up together, flames intertwining without conflict.

The Suicune exchanged glances.

Something subtle shifted.

This wasn't a meeting.

It was a convergence.

Chapter 10 – The City That Doesn't Know

Weeks passed.

Aren and Liora trained together—but never publicly.

They avoided gyms, avoided attention, avoided fame.

Instead, they explored:

Cafés where Pokémon served alongside humans

Transit tunnels sealed after minor dungeon incidents

Residential blocks where elderly trainers still walked Growlithe at dawn

The world was peaceful because it was balanced.

And they were anomalies walking quietly within it.

One evening, as city lights flickered on, Liora spoke softly.

"Aren… what happens when we grow stronger?"

He looked at her.

The handheld device vibrated once.

Future Path Stable

Requirement: Trust

"We stay hidden," he said. "Until we don't need to be."

She smiled.

Behind them, the Suicune lay close together.

And the two Charmander slept, flames steady and warm.
