Chapter 9 - Ch 9- This Is a Gift from the Gods

Affairs Office

Hearing the system notification, Caelus, who was in conversation with a Fatui diplomat, paused for a moment.

"Why did Mualani suddenly give me Emotion Points again?"

"I haven't done anything to upset her lately, have I?"

He hadn't even seen Mualani recently, so there was no way he had provoked her.

Could it be that Ajaw angered her?

Just as Caelus was thinking about it, the diplomat standing across from him spoke.

"Your Excellency, Pyro Archon, this is the Delusion that Lord Capitano has sent for you."

The Fatui diplomat respectfully presented an ice-blue orb.

"Thank you for your efforts."

Caelus accepted the Delusion, somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected a Fatui diplomat to be this polite.

Then again, the Fatui stationed in Natlan were all under Il Capitano's command.

Although Il Capitano was one of the Fatui Harbingers, he was known for his integrity. In the original story, he even led his troops to defend Natlan against the Abyss.

It wasn't strange that a diplomat under his authority lacked the usual arrogance associated with the Fatui.

"Your Excellency, the Captain of the Fatui wishes to speak with you privately. May I—"

"No."

Before the diplomat could finish, Caelus gave his answer.

"Tell Il Capitano that I'm busy saving Natlan. He'll understand."

"Understood."

"I will relay your words to Lord Capitano."

The diplomat bowed slightly and withdrew from the Affairs Office, carefully closing the door behind him.

Considerate. No wonder Il Capitano chose him as a diplomat.

"I can begin producing Visions now."

After obtaining the Delusion, Caelus immediately took out his Gnosis and the Pyro Vision he had once used.

At the same time, he connected with the system in his mind.

[Unlock Successful]

[Manufacturing mass-produced Pyro Visions requires 3,000 Emotion Points each.]

"Make three first."

Some time had passed since Caelus became the Pyro Archon.

News of the suspension of the Pilgrimage of the Sacred Flame and the Night Warden War had already spread across Natlan.

When people from other tribes learned of it, they were just as shocked as those in the Sacred Flame Arena. The reaction earned Caelus a significant amount of Emotion Points.

Meanwhile, players in the other world had learned fragments of information about Natlan and its Pyro Archon. They were currently arguing about the Archon's gender, generating another large wave of Emotion Points.

In fact, the players contributed even more Emotion Points than the people of Natlan.

Once the major Natlan version officially launched, there would be even more.

[Generation Complete]

Three Pyro Visions appeared before Caelus.

Their design differed from genuine Visions only in subtle details.

Unless someone was deeply familiar with Visions, they likely wouldn't notice any difference.

"System, I have a question."

Holding the three Visions, Caelus asked, "Can those who receive these mass-produced Visions enter the character banner?"

After all, Neuvillette does not possess a Vision, yet he appears on the banner.

So would holders of artificial Visions qualify?

[Replying to Host: Yes.]

[Although the Visions manufactured by the system are not genuine Visions, they still allow the wielder to control elemental power. Therefore, the character meets the criteria to enter the character event wish.]

[Additionally, for characters who enter the banner due to the Host's actions, the Emotion Points generated by players will be credited to the Host.]

"It actually works?"

Caelus hadn't expected a casual question to reveal a new method of farming Emotion Points.

"Summon Kinich of the Scions of the Canopy and Chuychu of the Flower-Feather Clan."

"Yes, Your Excellency."

The secretary left the Affairs Office.

Not long after, Kinich entered, followed by a small yellow pixelated dragon.

"That fast?" Caelus raised a brow. "What is this, ancient-name Cao Cao? Summoned and instantly present?"

"Your Excellency, I happened to be nearby, so I arrived quickly," Kinich replied calmly.

The little dragon beside him was far less restrained.

"Kinich, weren't you brave before? You even challenged the Pyro Archon."

"Now that he's standing right in front of you, why aren't you fighting? Scared?"

Ajaw shouted arrogantly.

His bravado lasted only until Kinich casually knocked him to the ground.

"My apologies, Your Excellency. Ajaw never shows proper respect."

"Foolish Kinich! In terms of age, I, the Great Sacred Dragon, am— Don't step on me!"

"I'll be quiet!"

With the daily farce between man and dragon concluded, Caelus took out one of the newly created Visions.

"Kinich, do you wish to obtain this Vision?"

"A Vision?"

Both Kinich and Ajaw froze.

In the original storyline, Kinich obtained his Vision at the moment of his death during the Night Warden War.

Now that the Night Warden War had been suspended and Abyssal activity in Natlan had decreased, he had no such opportunity.

At present, he was merely a capable Saurian Hunter who happened to keep a pixel dragon. He was not a Vision bearer.

"Your Excellency, I am grateful for your recognition," Kinich said seriously.

"But as far as I know, even if someone acquires a masterless Vision, they cannot wield elemental power without its acknowledgment."

"Exactly," Ajaw chimed in. "Kinich already has me. He doesn't need a Vision."

"He's already difficult enough to kill. If he gets a Vision too, how am I supposed to wait for him to die so I can take over his body?"

Seeing that they had misunderstood, Caelus smiled faintly.

"What if I told you that this Vision only requires my recognition for its wielder to control elemental power?"

"What?" Kinich's composure finally cracked. "Your recognition alone is sufficient?"

"That differs from everything I've heard."

"Don't look so shocked."

Caelus opened his palm, and the three artificial Pyro Visions floated into the air.

"These were modeled using the structure of genuine Visions, the Gnosis, and Delusions."

"They allow ordinary people to channel elemental power, much like a Delusion."

"But unlike a Delusion, they will not harm the user."

"I intend to grant these to Natlan's outstanding warriors."

"You will be the first."

Kinich's expression could no longer remain calm.

The mass production of Visions was beyond imagination.

Among tens of thousands, not even one might awaken a Vision.

A Vision was considered a gift from the gods. It granted control over elemental power and the potential to ascend beyond mortality.

If every warrior in Natlan possessed a Vision, mere Abyssal monsters would pose no threat.

They would be slain as easily as they appeared.

And now, he was to become the first wielder of a mass-produced Vision.

"So," Kinich asked quietly,

"What is the price?"
