The scene begins on the evening of March 6 at a hospital. Mikey is lying on a hospital bed with severe injuries. He suddenly regains consciousness and realises that he survived. A nurse is tending to him. The moment she notices that Mikey is awake, she quickly stands up and goes outside to call Angel.
Angel rushes into the room and sees Mikey. Lying on the bed, Mikey smiles at her before closing his eyes again.
Angel asks the nurse, "What happened to him?"
The nurse says nothing.
Angel insists, "Tell me something."
The nurse replies, "He fell asleep again."
Angel says, "Fell asleep? But he was awake just now!"
Angel grabs the nurse and begins shaking her violently.
The nurse shouts, "Ask him when he wakes up again!"
In the narration, Mikey says, "I had been unconscious for almost three days."
Someone in the narration asks him, "Then why did you do it?" He's asking again and again, but Mikey won't reply. The narrator asks the question again, but Mikey gives no reply.
The scene shifts to that night.
Max is standing on the rooftop of a building, talking to the old man over the phone.
Max says, "You must've thought this through before calling me."
The old man replies, "Yeah, I have some news."
Max asks, "What news?"
The old man says, "It's about the person who died in the park and the victim whose body was found on February 25."
Max asks, "What did you find out about them?"
The old man replies, "The victim from February 25 was a middle-aged principal at a prestigious school, and the second victim was an ordinary teenager who wasn't involved in any criminal activities."
Max asks, "Then why would Mikey kill them?"
The old man shouts, "Stop getting up the Mascot's ass!"
Max falls silent.
The old man continues, "Are you crazy? I'm telling you someone's framing him. Someone used his name in their own feud so another person would get caught in it."
Max asks, "How can you be so sure?"
The old man replies, "Look. The principal who died and the kid who was shot dead both belonged to the same school."
Max says nothing and begins thinking.
The old man continues, "There's nothing suspicious for us, and there's no need for our involvement in this case any further."
Max asks, "But don't you want Mikey dead anymore? Only I can fulfill that wish."
The old man says in a tired tone, "Look, Max, I'm telling you to get out of his ass. Whether he lives or dies is my concern right now, not yours."
Max says, "But you told me you had already dealt with him."
The old man replies, "I thought my job was done, but my men have stopped responding to me. I'll have to contact another branch."
Max asks, "Is there any lead I can use to reach him?"
The old man sighs and says, "Alan, you tell him."
It turns out another man has been on the call the entire time.
Max asks, "Alan, what do you think?"
Alan calmly replies, "I think the best thing you can do right now is stay still. We can't afford for you to come out over something this small. Let Uncle handle everything."
Max remains silent.
The old man says, "You really want to get involved? Then listen. Angel has been at the hospital for the past three days, and my men have been missing since February 25. Do you understand what I'm saying? I told you to keep your girl away from him. Now you'll face the consequences."
Max replies, "Don't bring her into this, or you'll be the first one to die, old man."
The uncle falls silent.
The call becomes quiet for a moment before Alan says,
"Let's not fight with each other. Stay calm, big brother. We're here—you don't have to do anything."
Max asks, "Tell me one thing. Are you sure she's with him?"
The old man replies, "I assumed so, considering she's been taking half shifts at work again."
Alan says, "You should investigate further. And Max... please try to stay as calm as possible. I don't want to see you like that again."
Max calmly replies, "Everything is in your hands."
The old man says, "Go get some rest."
Max ends the call.
The scene shifts to Alan. He is sitting in a chair beside his desk. His room is filled with books, every corner stacked high with them.
Alan says, "Why aren't you afraid of him anymore?"
The uncle replies, "Because he's lost his edge now. We can't tell him everything."
As he says this, the scene shifts to Max, lying on a couch with one arm resting across his forehead.
Alan says, "I guess you're going to do something now. Care to tell me?"
The scene shifts to the night of March 6.
Mikey is now sitting up in his hospital bed, drinking soup.
Angel asks, "Didn't you inform your family that you're here?"
Mikey replies, "I told them, but they can't come. They're in the village."
Angel asks, "Do you remember what happened to you?"
Mikey replies, "I don't remember anything, but one thing is certain. Someone hit me from behind while I was returning home."
Angel asks, "You can stay alone now, right?"
Mikey replies, "Yeah. You can go home."
While drinking his soup, he asks,
"Is something wrong?"
Looking at Angel's stressed expression, Mikey notices she seems worried.
Angel replies, "It's nothing."
Mikey says, "You can tell me. Maybe I can help."
Angel replies, "What could you possibly do in your condition?"
Mikey asks, "Is it related to me?"
Angel says, "Don't think about it."
Mikey becomes serious.
"Did Max find out about us?"
Angel replies,
"What do you mean, us? I'm only doing this because I know you. Don't think your game is going to work on me."
Mikey smiles.
"Good. Thank God. I thought we were done for. I don't want to betray my wife either."
Seeing his smile, Angel turns her face away.
Mikey asks again,
"Tell me. Is it related to me?"
Angel replies,
"Kind of. Max's uncle found out that you survived."
Mikey says in surprise,
"How do you know his uncle? Did he plan to kill me?"
Angel replies,
"He might come to question me at any time."
Mikey says,
"That's a problem, I guess."
Angel says,
"I can't come up with any reason to explain why I've been at the hospital for three days."
Mikey asks,
"How does he even know you're at the hospital—"
He suddenly pauses.
"Wait... you've been here with me for three days?!"
Angel replies,
"Don't ask me. I just did what I thought was right. Don't think anything else."
She blushes as she says it.
Mikey asks,
"So you need a reason for being at the hospital?"
Angel replies,
"I know nothing's going to happen to me anymore. That old executioner is going to keep me trapped."
She says it in a tired, dramatic tone.
"A flower-like girl such as me has no future now."
Mikey interrupts,
"Do you have a friend?"
Angel stares at him.
Mikey asks,
"Why are you staring at me like that?"
Then she says,
"I'm not even staring at you, dumbo."
Angel replies,
"Tell me why would I involve my friend in this?"
Mikey says,
"I can get myself out of your situation if your friend gets involved."
Angel asks,
"How?"
Mikey raises one finger and showing to her.
"Step one: bring that person to this hospital."
As he says this, the scene shifts to the following day, where the old man arrives at the hospital.
In the narration, Mikey explains the next step.
"Next, change every hospital record connected to you and move them to any room in the orthopaedics department."
Angel asks,
"Why?"
Mikey replies,
"You told me your friend was getting her cast removed."
Angel immediately says,
"When did I ever tell you that?"
At the same time, the old man walks to the receptionist and asks about Angel's hospital records.
Mikey continues,
"The next step is making sure your friend comes on that day."
Angel asks in the narration,
"But how will we know when that old man is coming?"
Mikey replies,
"Don't worry about it."
At the same moment, the old man reaches the orthopedics department and is about to open the room's door.
Angel asks,
"But how can we pull this off?"
The scene returns to Mikey explaining from his hospital bed.
"You just have to bring your friend here somehow. Then leave the rest to me."
As he says this, he taps the right side of his head with his finger. Angel, with a tired sigh, agrees with him.
The scene shifts back to the old man.
He opens the door and sees Angel sitting with her friend.
Angel greets him from a distance.
Without saying a word, the old man quietly closes the door again.
He asks the man beside him,
"Who gave us this information?"
The man replies,
"The guard."
The old man starts walking away.
The man asks,
"What do we do now?"
The old man replies,
"Bring that guard to me. I'll tell you what to do afterward."
Angel becomes happy inside.
Looks like the plan worked.
She peeks her head out through the doorway and watches the two men leave.
Angel says,
"Your plan worked. Now no one can find us."
She quietly celebrates to herself.
At that very same moment, the scene shifts to Max.
He is sitting silently on the couch with his phone in his hand.
On the screen is a text message from Angel's friend—the same friend who is currently with Angel at the hospital.
She has told Max the entire plan and everything Angel was doing.
Max remains seated in complete silence, his expression deadly serious.
