After two weeks of torture, Satoru had memorized most of the books and was finally about to learn medical Jutsu.
"Before we start our lessons in Medical Ninjutsu, I would like to see your chakra control."
Suki placed jars in front of him. Each jar held sand and metal shards mixed within it.
"To test your chakra control, I would like you to separate the sand and metal shards. This is a simple test I came up with after pondering for a while. The faster you can clean the sand, the better your chakra control is."
She shook the jars to further mix the sand and shards.
"Now start! You have half an hour to separate the mixture."
Satoru felt no pressure for such a simple test. He always had good chakra control due to the Six Eyes that let him see the energy flow. Besides his training to recreate Blue, he practiced chakra control a lot.
He concentrated chakra in his hands, redirecting it inside the mixture. He began to fine-tune his chakra as it interacted with the sand and metal shards. Slowly, step by step, he separated the shards from the sand.
Suki looked at his progress and nodded.
"You are doing great, Satoru. Looks like your chakra control is quite good."
He finished the process in a few more seconds and impatiently looked at her.
"Can I start learning Jutsu now?!"
"That impatient, huh?" Suki chuckled.
Yeah, he was impatient. This hag forced him to read books and learn knowledge he didn't need, as he had no intention of becoming a medical Ninja.
But when he expressed his intention to learn solely the Jutsu, she refused. Worse, even Hiashi sided with her. So, Satoru found himself forced to learn step by step.
"Alright, the next step is the 'Healing Technique'. I have already given you the scroll yesterday. All you have to do is gather chakra in your palms in the shape of an orb and move it over injured areas to accelerate healing. There is also an advanced form of this technique called 'Mystical Palm Technique'. Only a few medical-nin can use this technique."
Satoru was more interested in the weird Jutsu that Tsunade used against Kabuto. It caused him to be unable to control his limbs.
If Satoru could fuse that weird Jutsu with the Hyuga gentle palm, not only would he be able to seal the enemy chakra, but also render him helpless.
'I just don't know if medical ninjas know this Jutsu or if it is a Tsunade special technique.'
Suki pulled a fish from a bucket beside her. A fresh shallow cut ran along its side.
"You will practice on this. Focus on stabilizing the tissue first and don't rush the chakra output. Medical ninjutsu is about precision, not brute force."
Satoru activated the Six Eyes.
The fish's body became a map of flowing energy and damaged cells. The cut wasn't deep, but the muscle fibers were torn unevenly. Blood loss was minor.
He raised his hand and gathered chakra into his palm. He shaped it into a thin layer instead of a dense orb. The green glow flickered, then stabilized.
He pressed his palm over the wound.
Chakra seeped into the tissue and he adjusted the flow immediately.
The torn fibers began reconnecting under the stimulation and the skin started closing from the inside out.
Suki's eyes narrowed slightly.
Most beginners flooded the wound and caused secondary damage, but the boy didn't. His chakra control was flawless, just like Hiashi told her.
She glanced at his glowing blue eyes and praised, "Truly worthy of a Byakugan mutation."
Within three minutes, the cut sealed completely, leaving only a faint mark.
Suki inspected the fish carefully. She pressed around the healed area, but found no mistake.
"…That was your first attempt."
When he nodded, she looked at him for a few seconds.
"Again. This time, regulate your output to the minimum required for recovery. If I detect wasted chakra, you fail."
Satoru clicked his tongue but extended his hand again.
Fine. If she wanted to find fault in him, he would give her perfection.

After the lesson with Suki, Satoru headed to his room to take his usual nap.
But the images of the incident a month ago still flashed through his mind, preventing him from living a lazy life like he used to.
"Damnit."
He sat on the bed and scratched his head in frustration. Having been born into the Hyuga clan during a relatively peaceful period, he thought he'd have plenty of time to develop.
With the Six Eyes, sooner or later, he'd be able to unlock the Blue and Red techniques.
But the feeling of being at others' mercy a month ago disgusted him. He didn't want to be a damsel in distress and rely on others to save him.
Besides, even though being reborn as a Hyuga didn't mean he would face a crisis like if he were an Uchiha, he still craved strength. He didn't forget that there was still a bastard who coveted his little sister's eyes.
He'd need to get stronger in order to protect his family. Surpass the heights Gojo Satoru ever reached.
With renewed motivation, Satoru started planning his next training.
'In the Naruto world, there are five basic nature transformations: Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth, and Water. I know my affinities thanks to the chakra paper Hiashi gave me, but any ninja can master all five.'
Satoru didn't want to limit himself to using only his natural affinities, wind and water.
'Affinity in the Naruto world has a few benefits. It makes it easier to learn the jutsu of that element; they're easier to use, and chakra consumption is lower. With practice, the power and control of affinity jutsu can improve, potentially raising the rank of a jutsu.'
Many famous shinobi had mastered elements outside their affinities. For example, Kakashi and Sarutobi could use all the elements at a professional level. Sarutobi even managed to combine several affinities to use variant jutsu without needing a Kekkei Genkai.
'In his fight against Orochimaru, Hiruzen used Mud Release, which should be a combination of Earth and Water styles. He did this without a Kekkei Genkai, which means anyone could combine different affinity jutsus if they have high mastery.'
Since Satoru already knew his affinities, he didn't need to waste time figuring out which element to master first. His affinities were Wind and Water. Of these, he only knew the proper training method for Wind Nature, as it was well-documented. Though he had a rough idea of how to train in the other elements.
'When someone channels chakra into a chakra paper, it reacts according to their affinities. Mine split and got wet, showing Wind and Water. For the other affinities: Lightning makes the paper wrinkle, Fire makes it burn, and Earth makes it crumble.'
Seeing the different results of chakra paper for the different affinities, Satoru came up with a theory.
'What if the paper isn't just showing affinity, but the proper training method for each nature transformation? For me, to master Wind, I have to cut paper; for Water, I have to wet it. For the other natures, I just have to replicate what the chakra paper does.'
Even though he wasn't sure how accurate his theory was, Satoru decided to try it before asking Hiashi for advice.
'It's a pity it's too dangerous to learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu for now, or else my training would go faster.'
Without that convenient jutsu, he could only train one element at a time. He chose Wind as the first nature to train. Only after mastering it would he move to the next element.
He tore a few papers from an empty book and channeled his chakra, trying to cut the paper.
Unsurprisingly, he failed to even leave a scratch after hours of trying.
"No sweat, no gain, I guess then."
Without frustration, he continued practicing for the next two months until academy admission day.
