"Oh, the letter… it's—"
"it's Avril."
Avril was a music student. She was short, which made her look cute, but she was also mature—dependable and kind to everyone.
Lukas didn't expect that name, so he looked completely surprised when he heard it.
"Why would she give me a letter? I'm way out of her league. She's rich, kind, and beautiful…

A day later
Lukas began looking for Avril during lunch so he could tell her about the letter.
He couldn't find a chance to get her alone.
"Avril has so many friends. It must be nice to be popular," he thought.
Finally, Lukas gathered the courage to approach her.
"Uhm… hey, Avril."
"Oh, hey, Lukas. Can I help you?"
Lukas felt the eyes of Avril's friends—and everyone around them—on him.
"Can you follow me to the school rooftop?"

"Uhh… I just wanted to talk about the letter you gave me months ago."
Avril froze when she heard him mention the letter.
She grew nervous, wondering what Lukas was going to say about it.
"Uhm… how was it? Were there any mistakes in the letter?" Avril asked."Uhh, no… it's not that there's a mistake in the letter. It's more like I have something to say about it."
