When Faye got to the gym, the first person she saw was Malo sitting on the bench, holding a heavy ice pack tight against his mouth. Bambi was busy over by the counter, watching trending short videos on the computer screen.
There were no actual customers in the building for the day.
Malo saw Faye walk in through the doors along with Beam and Kiara, not registering the last part though, still angry about the punch.
"Hey, Malo, wassup?" Faye waved at him as she smoothly fist-bumped Bambi at the counter and dropped her backpack, which Bambi picked up right away and put aside.
Then Bambi smiled bright when she saw her girlfriend, Kiara, walking right behind Faye, along with her new friend, Beam.
"Wassup, wassup. Look at what you literally did to my mouth. It's all swollen up, and it's completely not healing at all…" Malo said, lowering the ice to reveal his swollen, dark red mouth.
"Ouch, that must have hurt bad. Maybe next time you don't go and eat someone's last bag of chips…"
