Chapter 25 Bombing, Making Clothes

Chapter 25 Bombing, Making Clothes

The order has been issued.

As the helicopter's machinery hummed, the missile launcher below slowly unfolded.

Two missiles, carrying the aura of death, roared out and precisely pierced the nest that Su Jinjin had already bombed once.

There were also the mother insects returning to their nest.

"boom--!!!"

An explosion a hundred times more powerful than Su Jinjin's grenade shot into the sky, and the entire factory crumbled in flames.

The shockwave shattered all the glass within a radius of hundreds of meters, and a mushroom cloud of smoke and dust shot straight into the sky.

The sudden explosion behind her made Su Jinjin stagger, and the handlebars of her bicycle snapped to the side, almost causing her and the bicycle to fall into the roadside ditch.

She braced herself with one foot to steady the car, then turned around in astonishment—

On the distant horizon, a massive fireball was rolling and rising, its thick smoke forming a menacing mushroom cloud. Even from several kilometers away, one could feel the tremors brought by the shockwave.

"The scale of this explosion... is definitely not something an ordinary player could pull off!"

Su Jinjin's pupils contracted slightly. "Could it be the military forces within the instance?"

She suddenly remembered the helicopter that had flown towards the nest earlier.

A guess came to mind: Could it be that my bomb alerted the military, which led to such a fierce attack?

"Gurgle—"

A sudden, intense hunger pang interrupted her thoughts.

Su Jinjin clutched her stomach, surprised to find that this hunger was even stronger than the energy expenditure after using the [Clothing Crafting] skill.

She immediately realized—this was a side effect of the Body Modification Pill continuing to modify her physique.

"I need to hurry back and replenish my energy..."

Without further delay, Su Jinjin got back on her bicycle and pedaled furiously toward the crane.

The wheels made a rapid "clattering" sound as they rolled over the gravel road, as if echoing her accelerating heartbeat.

At this moment, Su Jinjin had no idea what terrifying orders the soldiers on that armed helicopter had received just minutes earlier:

"The survivors outside the base have undergone an unknown mutation and possess strange powers. If you encounter them, you can capture and study them. If they obstruct you, you can bring back their bodies."

She had no idea that she had just brushed shoulders with death.

If we had left a few minutes later, we would likely have entered the military's reconnaissance range.

Now, all she can think about is going back to the safe house she built, having a big meal, and then studying her newly acquired physical abilities.

The towering silhouette of the crane finally came into view.

Su Jinjin breathed a sigh of relief and was about to accelerate when she suddenly heard a familiar propeller sound overhead.

She looked up sharply and saw a military helicopter flying across the sky from the opposite direction, its cannons gleaming coldly in the setting sun.

Su Jinjin instinctively braked and quickly hid under an abandoned truck on the side of the road.

She cautiously peeked out only after the sound of the helicopter had completely disappeared.

"Something's not right..." She frowned, alarm bells ringing in her mind. "I have a feeling something bad is about to happen!"

Hunger struck again, interrupting her dangerous thoughts.

Su Jinjin shook her head, deciding to return to the safe house first and then discuss the matter further.

She jogged forward, pushing her bicycle, glancing warily at the sky every now and then.

Only after finally climbing into the crane's cab and locking the door did Su Jinjin completely relax.

She couldn't wait to take out the prepared food from her spatial storage.

They wolfed it down and stuffed it into their mouths.

Between chewing strokes, she glanced out the window toward the still-smoking nest in the distance, and felt a vague sense of unease.

The crisis in this instance seems to be far more complex than just those parasitic monsters.

She didn't want to pay much attention to the issues in the instance world.

You should think more about yourself.

Su Jinjin leaned against the window of the driver's seat, gazing at the city silhouette gradually being shrouded in twilight in the distance.

She took a small bite of the compressed biscuit, her eyes gradually hardening.

"Now that mission two is complete, there's no need to risk contacting the military in this instance," Su Jinjin muttered to herself while munching on a biscuit.

"Sometimes I'm too naive. This is already the end of the world. Who would trust a stranger who doesn't have any identification? Wouldn't I have walked right into a trap?"

Su Jinjin shook her head, lamenting how naive she had been.

It can only be said that they are protected too well by their own country, and they turn to their motherland first when there is a problem.

"I wonder what methods real-world countries would use to survive the apocalypse if they knew it was coming."

"The most important thing now is to stockpile supplies, and also..."

Her gaze fell on the pile of metal materials in the corner.

After two days of practice, she became even more convinced that the profession of "tailor" had enormous potential.

Especially the seemingly useless skill of "Making Clothes".

"Although only one skill can be retained in the next dungeon..." Su Jinjin frowned, clearly having given this matter considerable thought.

"I definitely have to choose [Quick Sewing]. My [Worker] talent lacks combat ability, so I can't miss this skill that can both fight and support. But I really can't bear to give up the special effects of [Clothing Making]..."

She suddenly sat up straight, a glint of light flashing in her eyes: "Then let's take advantage of being in the dungeon and stock up on as many special outfits as possible!"

This decision thrilled her.

Su Jinjin quickly pulled out various materials she had collected before: metal plates, plastic sheets, waterproof coatings... and even a few pieces of fireproof fabric that she had taken from the fire station.

"Andehua City is actually quite nice."

As she organized the materials, she pondered, "There are few players, the parasitic monsters won't dare to come out during the day, and there are so many readily available resources..."

With this in mind, she completely abandoned the idea of leaving Anderhua Town.

Rather than venturing into unknown territory, it's better to cultivate the familiar "hunting ground" you already know well.

Before night completely fell, Su Jinjin seized the time to begin her "costume making plan".

Take out the materials you found earlier and start using the [Clothing Crafting] tool.

Subsequently, various special garments with different functions gradually took shape:

[Insulated Suit] Made with Fire-Resistant Fabric

Thermal vests and thermal underwear incorporating cold-weather materials.

After completing each item, she carefully tested its effectiveness and then gently stored it away in the safest corner of the space.

"Once we leave the instance, or enter other types of natural disaster apocalypse instances, these will be invaluable for saving our lives."

Su Jinjin looked at her work with satisfaction.

But the joy didn't last long.

Then I heard my stomach rumble again.

Su Jinjin shook her head helplessly: "Another reason for not choosing the [Making Clothes] skill is that it has too much aftereffect and consumes too much food."

She grabbed a piece of chocolate and popped it into her mouth, then looked out the window.

Under the moonlight, Anderhua City becomes a paradise for parasitic monsters.

Perhaps due to the daytime bombing, the parasitic variants in Anderhua Town became extremely active.

Su Jinjin wondered how Jing Ningyu was doing. She hoped he would get through the night peacefully.
