What happened here?
I was lying down on the floor, my vision was blurry, and I couldn't feel an ounce of strength in my body, all I could make out was a big black cloud hovering above me. The last thing I remember is my mom opening the door to a stranger and then a loud sound almost like a…
"A BOMB!!!"
I felt the adrenaline pump into my body and felt a sudden burst of strength come to me.
Even though my entire body ached, I still managed to stand up.
Once I stood up, all I could see was the burning remains of my house, which left me shocked to my core.
I stood there contemplating what had happened.
I looked in front of me, and I saw a giant piece of the roof that would have probably crushed me if I were a few inches closer.
I looked up at the roof and saw a huge hole that looked up to the sky, probably where the bomb went off.
"COUGH COUGH COUGH"
This smoke is no good but thank goodness I'm fine; the bomb went off right over me, so my mom who was at the entrance, should be fine.
"Wait… MOM!"
I crippled my way to the entrance and found my mom's unconscious body on the floor. I quickly fell to my knees beside her and shook her in an attempt to wake her up.
"MOM WAKE UP, PLEASE"
Once I paid closer attention, I saw there was blood on her forehead, upon closer inspection…
There was a hole in her forehead.
My world froze, tears started to come out, but all I could focus on was the gaping hole oozing blood.
It was clearly a bullet hole.
B-but how…
Out of no whrere i feel sick to my stomach again, i ducked my head down from the pain.
"BANG"
My ears where ringing, what the hell was that, it didnt sound like the wood burning, more like a firework…
A...… bullet
I slowly looked up and saw the man my mom answered the door to.
He stood there ominously with a gun pointed right at my temple.
The bullet he had shot bearly grazed me, by all intent and purposes i should be dead.
Not once but twice, i know i should feel grateful but seeing my dead mother on the floor and the house burned down from the explosion, it felt like more of a curse.
When i snapped out to reality i was already running trough the black smoke that ade my lung burned.
Before i knew i was alredy halfway through the house, my legs where running by themselves, they felt like jelly and yet they kept going .
"BANG, BANG, BANG"
More bullets were sent my way but by some miracle they all missed But why did the bullets stop?
"YOU DUMB ASS DON'T KILL HIM WE NEED HIM ALIVE!"
The scream came from middle age man he was stern and clearly angry but I didnt pay attention to that but rather what was in his hands, what i saw in his arms made my blood boil so much for a second i forgot i was running away and had an impulse to just run back and
Beat this guy to a pulp even tough i knew it was a fight I wouldn't win even in a million years.
What he had in his arms was the hopefully unconscious body of my sister…
I tried turning around but my body wouldnt obey no matter how much i told myslef i can beat this guys my body clearly knew otherwise and just keept running.
I soon reached the end of the house and jumped trough the window to the outside.
"COUGH, COUGH, COUGH"
My i could feel every breath I took in the black smoke finally takin a tole but i persevered and keept running.
Oddly enough I noticed that no one was chasing me but that didnt make me feel any better at all.
All I could think about was what comes next.
Inform a police officer… they would be no help, they only handle small things like petty robbery, the army?
No they only make there rounds around the distric borders and there to far from here.
I need some one strong that is relatively easy to reach, and theres only one answer
"PALADINS!"
I had to find a paladin who could help me, the nearest area were i was sure a paladin would be was the furniture factory not to far from my house.
Before i knew it i had spaced out, the past cople minutes were to hard for me to process all at once so I keept going trough the fact of the events.
1: the house has been blown away
2: mother… I rather not think about it
3: people are hunting me down
4: Modary has been kidnapped
Those are irrefutable facts
As I kept thinking, I finally reached the factory where i could see a paladin doing his rutinal patrol making sure nothing goes wrong.
"HELP, HELP ME!"
I screamed as loud as my longues let me, even coughing a few times.
"Whats wrong kid?"
The paladin had finally noticed me.
The paladin sounded a little agitated, normally the mere presence of a paladin would deter any crime nearby so some one screaming for help to him wasnt something common.
When i answered back i couoldnt help but scream even tough he was right infront of me.
"S-SOME STRANGERS BLEW UP MY HOME!"
The paladin sounded a little startled not expecting sucha serius thing.
"Show me the way"
When he said those words a sense of realife washed over me, everything would be ok now, I mean with a paladin willing to help me what could go wrong.
I started running back to home at full speed whyle the paladin followed with ease, the closer we got he started asking questions.
"Kid when did this happen"
"Around 6 minutes ago"
Out of nowhere the paladin stopped, as soon as I noticed i aslo stopped and in distress I asked.
"WHATS WRONG WE GOTTA HURRY!"
For some reason he was touching his ear like some one was talking to him.
After a full second the paladin looked at me with such intensity it made my hearth skip a beat.
"Is you name Akin by any chance?"
As soon as he said that i knew something was wrong, really really wrong.
"Y-yes sir, BUT WE GOTA HURRY NOW!"
Out of nowhere the paladin took out a tick metal rod about 6 inches big and 3 inches long.
With his 2 hands he gripped the metal rod tightly.
Suddenly my eyes coulnt believe it hte metal rod was changing shapes, as the paladin held the metal rod i saw how it slowly liquified and molded into a shape, upon closer inspection i notices what it had changed to…
A SWORD!
I tried asking the paladin what was he doing butt my voice quiverd.
"S-sir?"
"Akin im gonna need you to stay still for a second"
I froze, all the realife I had before hand was gone and it was all replaced by fear, if i barely escaped those dudes in suits I knew i had zero to none chances escaping a paladin.
I felt chills run all over my body, it screamed DANGER, then my legs gave out, I have no idea why but they just did.
"SHING!"
Right were my head was the paladin had slashed trough whit his sword barely grazing be not even by and inch, upon closer inspection the sword he made was a little crooked just enough so it wouldnt hit me.
The paladin was surprised, he clearly wasnt expecting for me to dodge his attack and honestly who would, THERE FUCKING PALADINS THE ELITE OF ELITE.
This was the third miracle happening on the same day, The lady up there is probably looking out fot me…
Or just wasnt me to see suffer.
As soon as I miraculously dodged the slash the paladin adapted quikly and midway trough the slash he completely changed the direction of his blade from a perfect 180 degrees to 90 degrees, I felt my legs regain all strength and jump backwards some hoe dodging the second slash.
The paladin wast quick enough to addapt this time and his sword completely hit the ground getting stuck on the concrete floor.
"DAMN YOU KID I TOLD YOU TO STAY STILL"
I heard a loud noice coming from his ear, screaming noises, i could barely hear it but from what i could make out was something along the lines of.
"I SAID DONT KILL HIM MORON!"
The paladin clearly winsed from the sudden loud noise commuing from his ear.
This was the perfect moment to initiate the perfect plan I had ideated in case things went south again, truly a fool proof plan.
RUN!
As soon as I landed on my feet from jumping backwards i started running faster than i had ever ran before, faster than when my speed go tested to see if i was eligible to participate on the trials and faster than when I was running away from those guys in suits.
I didnt even loom back at the paladin all i cared about is the few precious seconds I had some bought myself.
Clearly running back home wasnt and option, neither was running to any type of authority so where, WHERE!
It all suddenly clicked.
"THE NORTHERN BORDER!"
Its not to far from here.
The ground started trembling as i heard many voices approaching.
"WE FOUND HIM"
"FOLLOW HIM"
A group of 5 policemen were following quickly on my trail, luckly I had a decent gap between us and we ran about the same speed, but what scared me was the fact that the paladin was nowhere in sight.
I'm so tired, I been running nonstop for so long, and I just want to rest, even if it's just a minute.
I can't.
I must keep going on.
I have to live.
I must live.
I SWEAR I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!
As i kept ranting and complaining to myself i finally reached the northern boarder but there was nothing to be found.
"KARON HELP ME!"
I screamed for Karon, after all he was the one who told me to come here.
But no answer…
"KARON PLEASE!"
I started tearing up it was a dead end and i didnt know what to do anymore.
It was my back agains the wall and the policemen quikly surrounded me.
Out of nowhere a hand pushed me inside the wall.
It was Karon.
For a moment his eyes looked empty almks like he had spaced out, and a moment later he shocked his head bringing him back from whatever just happened.
"RUN NOW!"
The inside of the wall was a big narrow alleway.
As we ran policemen also started entering the wall.
Karon was much faster than me by a long shot, its his speciality,since i know him hes had 2 big qualitis, his speed that could even rival a paladin, and aim when trowing or shooting right about anything.
As we ran Karon told me
"Whatever you see do not stop, do not hesitate, dont look back, and more importantly just keep going straight no matter what"
As soon as he spoke those words he started to accelerate leaving me way behind him.
"HEY COME BACK I DONT KNOW WHERE WERE GOING!"
Soon enough he was out of view.
I kept hearing screams behind me but at this point i didnt care what they were saying, I didnt care anymore.
I just ran.
Soon enough i reached a split on the road, left or right.
I started panicking, what am i supposed to do.
In situations, always go left, i turned left.
I kept running and eventually i reached a nother fork on the road, this time i went right, adn the same again and again and again, somewhere down the line i heard a girl screaming but i was to zoned out to even pay it attention.
After a cople more turns it finally cliked.
Every time i made a turn the alleyways was almost the same.
Eventually Karons words clicked, maybe the instead of choosing a side i should just run into the wall, it wasnt the fist time I would have Phased trough a wall today.
Thinking of this is the easy part but actually running into the wall was still scary.
What if im wrong and just hit myself, but it was no time to doubt myself, all i could do is prepare myself for this big gamble.
Finally I reached a fork in the way and took a deep breath.
Just do it.
You can do it.
Have faith in Karon.
As the wall closed in all I could do was close my eyes and make silent prayers to the Goddess.

Dear Goddess of good luck you have blessed me multiple times in such a short amount of time, and im truly grateful, but please, please, please, I just need one more, one more miracle, and make it out of here, i truly believe in you infinite goodness, I ask this as your follower.

I kept running.
I opened my eyes for a brief second just to see the wall a cople feet infron of me.
I quikly closed my eyes and repeated the words

I ran into the wall, and phased trough it.
The bright blue sky had turned pich dark.
