Chapter 32 - Chapter 32

Jing Wuming's face looked youthful and tender, but his body already had the build of a fifteen- or sixteen-year-old boy. Right now, even when Jiang Chen stood up, he was only the same height as him.

Listening to Jiang Chen's earnest, meaningful words, Jing Wuming suddenly lowered his head.

"Could it be that my little secret has been discovered by the young master?" he thought to himself.

Seeing Jing Wuming's reaction, Jiang Chen found it somewhat amusing.

"Some things aren't that they can't be done, but they must be done in moderation. When one is young and ignorant… ahem… You understand, right?"

"Understood." Jing Wuming stood up.

"Young master, have you decided how to deal with Ma Xiunuo? Do you want me to…" Jing Wuming made a throat-slitting gesture.

He was, after all, only an assassin. What he understood was only killing. The only thing he could do for Jiang Chen was kill.

Jiang Chen gave Jing Wuming a sideways glance.

"How come all you think about is killing? I already have some ideas about how to handle him. For now, I just need you to keep close watch on his every move. Perhaps when he becomes the Hall Master… that will be the moment he wishes he were dead."

"Young master, rest assured. Ma Xiunuo meets with Miss Sisi almost every morning. Whatever secrets he has, he'll usually reveal them at that time. I will definitely keep a close eye on him," Jing Wuming said.

Jiang Chen nodded.

"Young master, you haven't eaten yet, right? Let me take you to a restaurant outside."

Jiang Chen rubbed his stomach.

"I haven't. Then I'll have to trouble you."

"Young master, please don't say that. This humble one cannot bear it. Please follow me." Jing Wuming said, overwhelmed with flattery.

Jiang Chen followed Jing Wuming out of the academy. He had originally thought of calling Tang San along, but then remembered that Jing Wuming was his secret subordinate, so it wouldn't be good to let Tang San come into too much contact with him, so he gave up the idea.

After Jiang Chen finished eating, it was already afternoon.

Jing Wuming had done well. He took him to eat one of Notting City's famous dishes. The head chef's skill was far better than his own, and even now Jiang Chen was still savoring the aftertaste.

Jiang Chen returned to Notting Academy alone. Jing Wuming went back to the assassin organization.

Nowadays, Jing Wuming spends most of his time at Notting Academy. He would still return to the organization every day to check in and occasionally take on a mission.

Jiang Chen carried a large bag of things and walked toward the student dormitory.

Notting Junior Soul Master Academy had only one student dormitory building, and it was co-ed. All the work-study students lived in Dormitory 7.

Dormitory 7 was the only dormitory that did not separate students by grade. Almost every grade had students living there.

Jiang Chen carried his things and followed the room numbers on the doors until he finally reached the entrance of Dormitory 7.

He glanced inside. Tang San was not there.

"Is this Dormitory 7?" he called out, then checked the number on the door again.

Yes, it clearly said "Dormitory 7". But why wasn't Tang San here? Jiang Chen felt puzzled.

The originally quiet dormitory suddenly became noisy after Jiang Chen spoke.

More than a dozen boys all stood up at once and crowded toward the doorway.

Among them, an older-looking boy stepped forward, stared at Jiang Chen, and asked:

"Are you the new work-study student?"

Jiang Chen nodded.

"Is this really Dormitory 7?"

The tall boy who spoke to Jiang Chen was quite big, two heads taller than him. Hearing Jiang Chen's words, he immediately became excited.

"That's right, this is Dormitory 7! Little Dance Boss, a newcomer, has arrived! Come out quick to 'welcome' him!"

Hearing the confirmation, Jiang Chen had just started to smile when he heard the name "Little Dance".

In his stunned gaze, a small girl pushed through the crowd and stood in front of all the boys.

The girl was about the same height as Jiang Chen. Her small face was round, like a ripe, tender peach. A long scorpion braid hung all the way past her hips. She stared at Jiang Chen curiously.

"You're also a newcomer to our dorm?" Little Dance asked excitedly.

Jiang Chen nodded, feeling puzzled. Hadn't Tang San told these dormmates that he was coming?

"Great! Everyone step back a bit. Come on, newcomer, defeat me, and you'll be the boss of this dormitory." Little Dance already looked eager to fight.

Jiang Chen was speechless. He hadn't expected to avoid this rite of passage after all, and his opponent turned out to be Little Dance.

He looked at the little girl in front of him. She was cute, yes, but just too small.

Shaking his head, Jiang Chen said directly:

"No need to fight. I admit defeat. I can't be any boss anyway."

"Tch! Another coward." A wave of disdainful boos rang out. The boys who had been ready to watch a good show immediately lost interest and scattered.

Jiang Chen picked up his things and was about to walk past Little Dance to find an empty bed inside.

"No way! You're the first newcomer since I became boss. You have to fight me."

Little Dance flashed in front of him again, blocking his path. She put her hands on her hips, face full of anger.

"I already admitted defeat, isn't that enough? I'm really weak," Jiang Chen said helplessly.

Fighting Tang San might have been interesting, but fighting a little girl? He had zero interest.

"No! Are you even a man? You don't even dare accept a challenge from a girl?" Little Dance refused to budge.

Jiang Chen didn't hold back either. He reached out and firmly pushed her aside.

"You coward!" Little Dance stomped her feet in anger. She had just become the dorm boss and was eager to show her authority, only to run into a complete pushover.

With that, she flicked her head. That long scorpion braid shot straight toward Jiang Chen and instantly wrapped around his neck from behind.

"Get back here!" Little Dance yanked hard.

But Jiang Chen in front didn't move a single step; he even kept walking forward.

Little Dance had intended to pull him back forcefully, but she never expected Jiang Chen's strength to be so terrifying. In one tug, she was dragged forward and almost crashed into his back.

But her reaction was extremely fast. She kicked off the ground, launched herself upward, and her two fair, tender little feet directly wrapped around Jiang Chen's neck.

Now Jiang Chen's neck was simultaneously bound by Little Dance's braid and her legs. He gave a wry smile, knowing he couldn't avoid it anymore.

"Fine then. Let me see just how much strength you little rabbit really have."

He stood still and didn't move, but he mobilized all the strength in his body, preparing to take Little Dance's attack head-on.

After her legs locked around Jiang Chen's neck, Little Dance didn't hold back either. She leaned her whole body backward against his back, hands pressing against the ground.

Her entire body was like a tightly coiled spring. Legs and waist exerting force together, she tried to flip Jiang Chen backward.

A victorious smile had already appeared on her face. This morning, Tang San had been completely helpless against this powerful move of hers; he hadn't been able to resist at all. She was confident that among her peers, no one could survive this technique.

However, very soon… her expression changed…
