Chapter 1 - Just Transmigrated and Already Dying.

Outside the city, on the mountaintop

A woman, holding a sharp hairpin and covered in blood, cautiously retreated step by step.

In front of her, three or four men, each wielding a large knife and with lewd expressions, were slowly approaching.

The man in the lead glanced at the cliff behind the woman, then stared at her flushed face with a malicious grin: "Miss Jiang, are you feeling very hot? There's a sheer cliff behind you. If you back up any further, you'll fall to your death."

A lewd-looking man next to her immediately chimed in, "Miss Jiang, why are you so stubborn? Why don't you just give in to my older brother?"

"My elder brother is known in red light district as a handsome and skilled man with a great asset. Once you become his wife, you'll be guaranteed to live a life of luxury and pleasure, like a god every night."

His words immediately drew knowing laughter from his accomplices, their voices sounding as lewd as could be.

Jiang Luoxue's pretty face was cold, her eyes fixed on the people in front of her.

The tingling sensation in her body, her weak legs, her body that felt like it was about to explode from the heat, and her increasingly dizzy head were all telling her something.

She needs to deal with these people quickly, or she'll be in danger today.

Even if she didn't die at the hands of these men, she would probably die from a blood vessel explosion.

She bit her tongue hard, using the pain to stay awake, and spoke impatiently.

"If you want to fight, then come on! Stop dawdling and you're not even as good as a eunuch!"

The leader's expression changed upon hearing her words.

"You bih, you think you're so great just because you have a few moves? I'll teach you a lesson you won't forget!"

"Brothers, charge!"

Jiang Luoxue gripped the hairpin tightly in her hand. The moment the bandits pounced, she squinted and deftly sidestepped, grabbing one of the bandits by the back of his collar. She then quickly and cleanly plunged the hairpin into the man's carotid artery.

Blood gushed out instantly, splashing bright red colour on her face. Coupled with her murderous gaze, she looked like a female demon from hell.

Ignoring the blood on her face, she quickly snatched the knife from the man's hand, then kicked the corpse forward to block the two bandits who were charging

Jiang Luoxue raised her knife and stabbed it into the heart of another bandit like a cannonball. The distance was too close, and the bandit couldn't dodge in time. She hit him squarely in the bullseye, and before he could even scream, he was gone to meet the King of Hell with his eyes wide open.

The remaining two bandits looked at each other in dismay. In just a few breaths, they had lost two of their men. This woman was terrifyingly strong! A sense of fear flashed through both of their minds at the same time.

"Brother, this woman only knew how to cry and run away at first, how did she become so powerful after just one fall!" one of the bandits asked, puzzled.

The bandit leader gritted his teeth: "You're asking me? Who am I supposed to ask!"

"Damn it, if I had known this woman was this capable, I wouldn't have taken this job even if you offered me ten thousand taels of silver."

While regretting his actions, the bandit leader observed Jiang Luoxue and noticed that the flush on her face was getting worse, indicating that the drug had fully taken effect.

He whispered to his accomplice, "This woman won't last long. Let's both go at her and kill her to avenge our brothers."

"good!"

After they finished speaking, they both raised their knives and slashed at each other.

Jiang Luoxue had already bitten her tongue raw, but the dizziness was getting stronger and stronger.

Faced with the two menacing bandits, she had no choice but to stab the most painful acupoint on her body. The intense pain cleared her mind a little.

Taking advantage of this moment, she used all her skills to attack the two bandits.

After a few moves, the two bandits realized they were outmatched and turned to run away.

Jiang Luoxue wasn't about to let them have their way. She picked up the knife from the ground and threw it at one of the men's backs like a dart.

Pfft!

The broadsword pierced through his body.

"Ah—!" the man screamed, then collapsed to the ground and died.

Seeing that escape was hopeless, the bandit leader had no choice but to grit his teeth and raise his knife to fight back.

Before they could even exchange three blows, Jiang Luoxue knocked his weapon away, and he knelt on the ground begging for mercy: "Miss Jiang, spare my life!"

Jiang Luoxue held a knife to his neck and asked in an icy voice, "Tell me, who sent you to kill me!"

"I'll tell you, I'll tell you. It was a short, slightly overweight middle-aged man with a square face, triangular eyes, and a mole on the corner of his mouth. He gave us a thousand taels of silver and told us to kidnap you and take you out of the capital."

"Heroine, I was only doing this for money. Please, for the sake of what I told you, spare me!"

As the bandit leader spoke, he kept an eye on Jiang Luoxue's expression and noticed that her eyes were already unfocused; she was just trying her best to stay awake.

A surge of joy welled up inside him. He abruptly stood up, grinning maliciously as he pushed her toward the cliff edge: "You wretched woman, you killed so many of my brothers, die now!"

After pushing, he turned around and ran.

Jiang Luoxue had already stepped into thin air, but she still mustered all her strength and swung the hairpin hard at the back of the man's head.

The bandit collapsed and died, and she had no strength left to return to the ground.

Listening to the whistling wind beside her ears, she couldn't help but smile bitterly.

She's probably the first person in the transmigration world to die right after transmigrating!

Perhaps it's because she wanted to recall the past before she dies, her mind played out her past life and the events leading up to her death like a slideshow.

She was originally a 23rd-century special agent and assassin, tasked with eliminating a traitor in Country N who had betrayed the country. After completing her mission, she casually took the "boundary stone" from the traitor's safe. Therefore, she was hunted down by country N.

After finally shaking off her pursuers and boarding the plane, the plane exploded halfway through the flight.

She was destined to die, but somehow she transmigrated into the body of Jiang Luoxue, the legitimate daughter of the Minister of Rites in the Yunqi Dynasty, who shared the same name as her.

The original owner of this body was going to a temple to offer incense when she somehow offended some enemies. She was drugged with aphrodisiacs and chased by bandits. In her panic, she ran halfway up the mountain, tripped over some rocks, and lost her life. That's when she was transported here.

She fought her way to the top of the mountain and finally defeated everyone, but unfortunately, she was about to die again.

Damn it! She doesn't even know what the point of this time travel is! Is it because of her momentary greed that the time-traveling god has to punish her like this?

He gives people hope, yet pushes them into despair!

This generation of time-traveling gods really knows how to have fun.

Fine, so be it.

At worst, she'll be a hero again in eighteen years.

Jiang Luoxue peacefully closed her eyes, letting her body fly freely, facing death with composure!

Meanwhile, at Guiji Mountain, in the cold pool...

A masked man sat quietly in the water, his eyes closed, letting the icy cold water wash over his imposing body.

Because of the mask covering his face, his expression could not be seen; only his long, ink-black hair was visible, draped over his shoulders like a piece of black brocade.

A few strands of wet hair clung to the hideous old scar on his chest. His bulging muscles, paired with the terrifying Yaksha mask, gave him a mysterious yet wild beauty.

At this moment, he sat in the water like an old monk in meditation, with wisps of white smoke rising from his head, showing that he was silently resisting the icy cold water.

With a loud "bang," the water in the cold pool splashed up into a column several meters high.

Startled, the eyes beneath the mask snapped open, shooting out icy gazes, and the hand lashed out towards the source of the sound with lightning speed.
