Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Dimensional Billionaire

Chapter 1: The Dimensional Billionaire

I always believed in possibility, the idea that nothing is true and that everything is possible. That belief became the foundation of my drive.

Coming from a poor family, I had seen the ugliness of poverty and the distant beauty of wealth. I knew how cruel life could be when you had nothing, and how sweet it looked when you had everything.

I tried my best to make a coin in every way I could. Stealing, selling drugs in alleys stinking of piss and vomit, running errands for dangerous people yet it didn't matter. Every time I thought I was about to climb out of the gutter, life found a way to drag me back down to the gutter, reminding me where I truly belonged.

Still, I had one escape — fiction. Comics, anime, and games became my distraction. A place where hardwork truly mattered not like reality filled with disappointment and unfairness. Among them I had a favorite, the Invincible universe.

What intrigued me most about it, was the way Mark Grayson faced every obstacle, I felt a relationship to him. He took punches that could shatter bones, fought when all odds were against him, and yet, he persevered. No matter how bad things got, he stood tall and won.

So, when I died after conning the wrong man in a casino and getting beaten to death by his goons — I never expected what came next.

I got another chance. A chance I never thought I could earn.

---

I opened my eyes after reminiscing about my past. It had been a dream, one I thought I had long forgotten.

I sat up in bed and exhaled softly, letting the comfort of the mattress sink into my back. The room around me was exquisite. Luxurious wasn't even the right word. Every corner glimmered with refinement — gold linings, marble floors, and smooth glass walls that reflected the skyline beyond.

Then a voice came from the door.

"Sir, I hope you enjoyed your sleep," an attendant said politely, bowing slightly as she stepped inside.

It was Stephany — one of my most trusted attendants.

"How are you, Steph? Your son doing alright, I hope?" I asked, my tone casual yet warm.

"Yes, sir," she replied quickly, a grateful smile forming on her lips. "Thanks to your generosity, he can now walk again with the new implants you offered."

Her eyes shone with genuine gratitude. But when I stood up, her face turned red.

Well, I couldn't blame her. My upper body was bare, muscles hard and well-defined, skin glistening slightly in the morning light. Anyone would have turned red seeing a half naked man like that standing a few feet away.

"Sir, I'll leave you to freshen up," she said hurriedly, lowering her gaze before leaving the room.

When the door closed, I chuckled quietly and turned to the massive window overlooking the city.

Apparently, I was living in a five star hotel with an eighty floor skyscraper, the best in New York. And to be honest, not to brag, but it was one of my properties. Every staff member who worked there was under my command.

But the staff were not ordinary. Some were aliens, others were cybernetically engineered, and a few were regular humans like Stephany, who oversaw the hospitality department. She was efficient, loyal, and sharp.

I stretched my hand forward, and space rippled before me. A green portal opened in the air, swirling softly with energy. I stepped through it without hesitation.

The scene changed instantly.

Now, I stood in a gym — enormous, sleek, and filled with the finest alien technology. Machines hummed quietly, each one designed for maximum performance. Gravity weights, energy resistance fields, and even atmospheric pressure trainers, all created to push the body beyond normal limits.

"Hey, boss," a deep voice greeted.

I turned to see my trainer, Thaerus.

He stood nine feet tall, purple skinned, with pointy ears and a short, broad snout resembling a pig's. Despite his size, he moved with surprising grace.

"Your training regime will be in session," he said, chuckling lightly. "An hour will be enough for today."

I smiled and nodded, ready to begin.

The session passed in quiet intensity. Lifting gravity-enhanced weights, sprinting under adjusted atmospheric pressure, and practicing precision balance drills — it all blended into a rhythm of power and focus, pushing my bodies muscles to their physical limit.

After an hour, I was drenched in sweat, but it felt good. Controlled.

When it was over, Thaerus handed me a towel and bowed slightly.

"Boss, hope to see you again tomorrow," he said.

"Count on it," I replied, opening another green portal.

I stepped through and vanished from the gym.

By now you might have noticed and yeah, I had been reborn in this world with Angstrom Levy's ability of dimensional travel. But mine was different — extended. I could open multiple portals at once, to different places and even entirely different realities connecting them at once like crossroads.

Think about it — the original Levy could have become anything he wanted. Owned everything. Ruled entire universes. Yet, he chose to hunt Invincible to prove a point. Foolish.

I wasn't like him. I used the opportunity to build something real.

I founded my own companies — managing countless businesses, properties, and technologies across dimensions.

Now, I stood before a mirror, fully dressed in a million-dollar tuxedo. Every stitch fit perfectly.

Steph had already ordered the catering squad to prepare breakfast. As usual, I opened a portal and stepped through.

It was part of my routine — traveling between worlds to taste new foods, experience different views, and enjoy a life beyond limits. This was the life I dreamt of and now I had attained it.

The dining table stretched before me, massive-filled with dishes that shimmered faintly under the light.

One caught my eye — Staria, a delicacy made by the Star People, an alien race with star-shaped heads. The dish itself was shaped like a five-pointed star, its surface glowing softly. The texture was crisp and a little chewy, but the taste… exquisite.

The aftereffect was fascinating too, it briefly enhanced the brain's neuron activity by 0.02%, sharpening mental clarity.

After the meal, I stood, adjusting my cufflinks. The staff bowed respectfully as I left.

I complimented Steph for her flawless service before stepping through another portal.

The portal opened to my office which was located in Washington D.C., the headquarters of Adams Dominion. The letters "AD" were carved into a massive black symbol on the wall behind my desk.

The entire city, in truth, was under my influence.

Through my dimension hopping, I found the most secure dimension, a version of Earth where the Viltrumites had been eradicated after a catastrophic war. Peace had finally been achieved, and I built my empire within it.

"Hello, sir. It's good to see you brimming with strength today," said Green Ghost my secretary as I entered.

"It's good to see you too, Ghost," I said, settling into my chair. "Progress update?"

"Apparently, there has been a problem, sir," she said, tapping her tablet, her words quickly made me hyperfocused as I sat uprightly. "Dimension D-64 has witnessed a massive loss. The goods and profits suffered after one of the major merchandise facilities was destroyed."

She hesitated looking at my reaction, then continued. "The technicians are requesting to see you. They're running out of materials, but considering D-64's crisis, there's been a shortage of about seventy percent."

She swiped on her tablet, projecting a holographic graph into the air.

I stared at it, anger slowly rising.

I could entertain many things be it delays, errors, miscommunication but no one, no one, was allowed to interfere with my property.

"What happened?" I asked, my tone low and sharp. Even Green Ghost could feel the tension.

"To be frank," she began, "the feed from the dimension shows there was a huge battle. It led to the destruction of the building and the merchandise as collateral damage."

She expanded the hologram.

The image showed devastation ,the building flattened, smoke still rising, bodies scattered across the wreckage.

Some of them men I recognized.

My jaw tightened as rage shimmered beneath the surface.

"Who was responsible?" I demanded.

"We ran the schematics," she said quietly. "It seems one of them was a Viltrumite… and a couple of Earth's heroes."

I leaned back slowly, fists clenched.

Whoever they were they had just declared war on the wrong man.
